This is a Christian motivational Holy Spirit-led podcast hosted by yours truly, Jackie. You all do not understand how excited I am to officially start this podcast. For a long time now, I have been praying to God, like, God, what is my purpose? I know I'm a mom. I know I work full-time. I wear many hats. But something in me knew that I was created for more. You know, I just have this yearning in me. Finally, this year, He led me to my purpose and led me to this. And in another episode, I will dive deeper into my testimony, and I will give you more details with that. But I am so grateful and excited about this journey, excited about the juicy, unspoken topics that Bible study or church may steer clear from. Well, guess what? We are going to go there here, and we're going to apply the Word of God in the process. Because if we want to be true Christians, we need to know how to apply the Word to our everyday lives. And in this podcast, we are going to learn. And I'm just so excited for how many lives will be touched through this podcast. And how the Holy Spirit will not only move through me, but move through you all as well in the journey that you guys are about to embark on. Now, I do have a couple of questions. How many of you all have gone through a trying point in your life where you feel defeated? You feel beat up? You feel like, let me just crawl up in this hole. Somebody put the dirt over me. Because you're just done. You're just done with life. Or maybe you're in a place where you feel weak in your faith. You have so many doubts. You feel like God is not hearing you. You just feel lost and confused. Maybe you need a breakthrough and you've been waiting on a breakthrough. You need a breakthrough with your coworkers, with your job, with your home life. Maybe you just need a break, not even a breakthrough, a break. Well, guess what, my friend, this is the place for you. Now, you may be wondering about the name of the podcast, Enter the Upper Room. Well, let me break it down. The Upper Room in the Bible is the place where Jesus's disciples first encountered the gift of the Holy Spirit. So after Jesus died on the cross and he resurrected right before he ascended, he said, wait for the gift. So when we enter the Upper Room, we are able to encounter God as we are. We have a place to come as we are. And we allow the Holy Spirit to move through us to restore us of anything tying us down to this crazy world. And we are going to dive into the word, talk about relatable topics such as relationships, singleness. Where are my single people at? Because I can relate. And if you know, you know, it can definitely feel like we've been single for so long. Or even when we do get in a relationship, sometimes we want to be single. Like we don't really know what we want sometimes. And maybe we're just never content. But we're also going to talk about struggles. We're going to just talk about everything in between. We're going to break down the Bible, talk about the characters. You know, we're just going to make it easier to understand. And it's going to be exciting. It's going to be fun. But most importantly, as we discuss these topics, this is a judgment free zone. I want you to come as you are, leave your burdens here. You know, Jesus, he did not come to condemn the world. He didn't choose the righteous. He chose the unrighteous and made them righteous. All he said was, follow me. That's what I'm asking you all. Let's follow me on this journey. And as you leave your burdens here, I want you to leave redeemed, restored, and most importantly, set free. The only thing that we can take to heaven with us are souls. And that is what I'm trying to do, my friends. I want to take as many souls with me to heaven. So if you are ready to join me on this roller coaster ride, and ready to hop on this journey, then fasten your seatbelts and enter the upper room.
