The speaker expresses gratitude to Mr. Cummins and talks about the importance of education, emphasizing the enduring value of transferring knowledge to students. They discuss the evolving nature of teaching influenced by technology and societal changes. It's highlighted that successful teachers prioritize building relationships with students. The conversation ends with appreciation for Mr. Cummins and closes the podcast episode. Well, Mr. Cummins, it's been a pleasure. Thank you so much for your time today. And just before we wrap up, is there anything else you'd like to share with our listeners? Yeah. I think that it's easy to get caught up in cliches of education and gurus on psychology like Vygotsky or Skinner or, in my case, teaching grammar now in verbs, adjectives, adverbs. So a lot of these things are going to change, especially with technology, with social movements, with the zeitgeist of education is going to change. But what will never change in education is the transformation and the transition of getting knowledge from one place to another, from a teacher or from a source into a student so that they can use that to better themselves. So people going into teaching have to really love relationships. And if you love relationships, you're probably going to be an effective teacher because you're going to be willing to do what it takes to get that information into a teenager's head. Yeah. Absolutely. That's incredible. Yeah. Thank you. Again, I can't thank you enough, Mr. Cummins. I really do appreciate everything that you've done for me. And looking back, really grew a lot my last year in high school, especially. I mean, you were stuck with me for half the day, pretty much. It was the best half the day ever. Yeah. But no, I really do appreciate it, sincerely. I know I'm quite humorous, but like from the bottom of my heart, I really do thank you. Well, thank you. So with that, that will wrap up this week's episode of the Jack Mize Podcast. I'm your host, Jack Mize. Thank you all so much for listening, and we'll see you next week.
