Color-based healing is the idea that colors can affect how we feel because they vibrate with energy. Ancient civilizations like the Egyptians used colors in their temples for specific emotional effects and healing. Modern science is starting to catch up with these practices, finding evidence that different colors can have physiological effects on our bodies. Auras, which are electromagnetic energy fields that surround living things, reflect a person's physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual states. The colors in an aura can provide insights into a person's overall well-being. Auras are dynamic and change in response to our thoughts, emotions, and experiences. We can influence our aura by using color in our clothing and surrounding ourselves with certain colors in our environment. Visualization can also be a powerful tool in color-based healing. Colors are different frequencies of light, and light has a profound effect on our physical and subtle bodies. Sunlight, with its full spectr Welcome to another Deep Dive and today we're exploring something really, really fascinating. Oh yeah. Color-based healing. Okay. So we're talking about the idea that colors, they're not just pretty, right? They vibrate with energy and they can affect how we feel. Oh, wow. Okay. We've got a bunch of cool sources lined up that look at how this actually works. Like ancient practices or? Yeah, like from ancient traditions all the way to what like modern science is finding out. Oh, cool. I'm pretty curious to see what we discover. Me too. What do you think? Have you heard much about this before? Well, the thing that always blows my mind is how this idea, you know, using color to heal people, which is sometimes called chromotherapy. Chromotherapy. Okay. It's been around forever. Wow. Like, you know, the ancient Egyptians? Oh, right. Yeah. They would put colors into their temples. Oh, really? Yeah. For specific reasons, you know, to create certain emotional effects and even for, you know, for healing. They kind of, they just knew intuitively, I think, that some colors, you know, they'd bring a sense of calmness and then others could make you feel more energetic or, you know. Lively. Yeah. Yeah. More alive. Like they were tapping into something that's, you know, deeper than just like, oh, that's a pretty color. Yeah. Right. So, is there any science behind it? That's the really interesting part. Yeah. Like, modern science is actually starting to... Catch up. Yeah. Catch up, you know, with these practices that have been around for like centuries. Remember, like back in school, you know, learning about wavelength? Well, every single color, it's a different frequency of light. And our bodies, they react to those. So, you mean like our bodies are literally like tuned in to all these different color channels. Exactly. They're picking up on those vibes. Yeah. They're picking up on all those subtle, like, vibrations. Wow. And, and research is, you know, it's finding evidence for this. Really? Yeah. Like they've done studies showing that when people are exposed to blue light, their blood pressure can actually go down and they get less anxious, which is why like they use blue light sometimes in therapies, you know, for, for things like seasonal affective disorder. Right. So, it's not just, it's not just like blue being like a calming color. Right. It's like a, there's like a physiological thing happening. Yeah, totally. Wow. Okay. That makes me think of red because it's, it's always associated with like energy. Right. Intensity. Yeah. Is there, is there a scientific side to that too? Absolutely. Because it has a longer wavelength, it actually, it stimulates your circulation. It makes you more alert. Oh wow. Like, you know, think about red warning signs. Oh, right. Yeah. They grab your attention like instantly. Yeah. And your heart rate goes up. Yeah. It's like, it's almost like an instinctual response. Wow. So, so we're starting to see like a real scientific basis for how color affects us physically. Yeah. So what about like the, the emotional side? Right. Or the, the energetic side of things? Yeah. That's where auras come in, right? Yeah. Can you explain what an aura is and how that connects with, with color? Sure. So an aura is like, um, it's an electromagnetic energy field. Okay. And it surrounds every, every living thing. Really? Yeah. And it's, it's often described as like this luminous multicolored field. Okay. It reflects the person's, you know, their physical state, their emotions, mental state, even, even their spiritual state. Wow. Some people can actually see them like visually. Really? Yeah. And other people just kind of sense them. Intuitively. Yeah. More intuitively. Okay. So it's, it's like an energetic fingerprint. Uh huh. Unique to, to each person. Yeah. That can tell us something about their, their inner world. Exactly. Yeah. So the colors in the aura, they can be really insightful. Okay. Like for instance, if you see, you know, a really bright, clear yellow in someone's aura, that might mean they have like mental clarity. Oh wow. You know, they're, they're optimistic. Okay. But if you see like a muddy green, that could mean that they're holding on to like some jealousy or, or some resentment. Wow. Yeah. So do they have like specific meanings? Not always like a direct, you know, translation, but, but the colors and the, and the patterns in the aura, they can definitely give you clues about the person's, you know, overall wellbeing. I see. Okay. And, and what's, what's really cool is. Yeah. Auras aren't just like this static thing. Right. They're dynamic. Okay. They, they change. So they shift and change. Yeah. They respond to our thoughts, our emotions, our experiences. Wow. So like if I'm having like a super stressful day. Yeah. My aura might reflect that. It could. Yeah. Okay. You might see like some, some darker colors or it might look, you know, more chaotic. And on the flip side, if I'm feeling like super happy, super energized. Yeah. Your aura might be brighter. Okay. More vibrant. So it's, it's like a, a mirror of our, of our internal state. It's an energetic mirror. Wow. That's pretty mind blowing. So it's not like we're stuck with like one aura for life. You're right. No, absolutely. We can, we can actually influence it. Yeah. That's, that's where the whole idea of, of color-based healing becomes really empowering. Okay. I'm, I'm into this. So how do we, how do we actually use color to like, you know, shift our energy, shift our wellbeing? Okay. Well, one of the, one of the easiest ways is through the colors that we wear. Okay. So think about like, think about how you feel when you wear certain colors. Have you ever noticed that like wearing a certain color can affect like your whole mood for the day? You know, I, I've never really thought about it consciously, but now that you mention it, I do feel more confident when I wear red. Oh, interesting. Like it's like, it gives me like a little boost. Yeah. Well that, that makes sense because red is associated with vitality and passion. Yeah. So it would totally boost your confidence. On the other hand, like let's say you're going into like a stressful meeting. Wearing blue might, might help you project a certain, oh yeah, calm and, and composure. Okay. So it's, it's not, it's not just about what looks good. Right. It's about, it's about choosing colors that like align with the energy we want to, we want to embody or project. That's fascinating. Yeah. And that same principle goes for like our homes and work spaces, right? Yeah. The, the colors that we surround ourselves with in our environment, they can make a huge impact on, on our mood, even how productive we are. Like warm colors, yellows, oranges, they can be really uplifting and, and they encourage like social interaction, which is why they're often used in like living spaces. Right. Right. You know, your cool colors, blues and greens, those promote focus and, and tranquility. Okay. So they're great for like. For workspaces. For workspaces or, or bedrooms. Right. Okay. This is making me rethink my entire apartment color scheme right now. Hmm. Are, are there, are there any other practical ways that we can like tap into the power of color? Lots. What about, what about visualization? Yeah. I've, I've done some meditation before where, you know, they guide you to imagine yourself based in like white light. Right. Does that, does that count? That totally counts. Oh. Visualizing yourself surrounded by a certain color. Okay. Or, or even imagining that color, like filling up your body. Right. Can be super powerful. Really? Yeah. It's, it's like you're giving your, your mind and your body like a direct dose of that color's energy. Wow. So if I'm, if I'm feeling anxious, I could visualize myself. Yeah. Surrounded by calming blue light. Absolutely. And that could actually like shift my state of mind. It could. Yeah. Wow. It's like giving yourself an energetic like tune up. Yeah. Yeah. Using color. Okay. And, and there are so many different techniques and, and practices that you can, you can explore. This is, this is all making so much sense, but I have to, I have to ask about the connection between color and light. We're talking about color as energy, but isn't it, isn't it all just light waves anyway? That's a great question and, and it gets to the heart of why color-based healing actually works. Okay. You're right. Colors, they are different frequencies of light and light itself is just powerful energy that has like a huge effect on our, on our physical body, but also on our, on our subtle bodies. Okay. So it's, it's really profound. Okay. So, so let's talk about sunlight. Okay. So sunlight is, it's important for vitamin D, but, but is there more to it from a color healing perspective? Sunlight is amazing. Okay. Because it's got the full spectrum of colors. Right. Think of it like, like nature's perfect color therapy lamp. Oh, wow. You know, it not only gives you that vitamin D boost, but it can actually help to balance your, your energy centers. Okay. Your chakras. So sunlight and the sunshine is, is like bathing our whole being. It is. Yeah. In, in healing color frequencies. It is. Sign me up. Yeah. What about, what about all the other colors that we see in nature? Like the, the greens of the forests, the blues of the oceans, the browns of the earth. Those colors, they have like a really grounding, harmonizing effect on our whole system. Really? Yeah. They, they help us to connect with, with the earth's energy. Wow. And they can be so soothing and restorative. Okay. It's like a reminder that we're, we're part of something bigger than ourselves. Right. We're all interconnected through these, these beautiful, vibrant colors. Yeah. I'm starting to see how, how color is so much more than just like something we see. Yeah. It's like, it's like a language. It's a vibration. Totally. A, a force that connects us to, to ourselves and to the, the world around us. Exactly. I'm, I'm already feeling that, that shift just from this conversation. Oh yeah. I can't wait to learn more. Me too. Yeah. And, and I think the best way to do that. Okay. Is to actually like experience some of this color energy. Yeah. Firsthand. Okay. Would you be, would you be open to trying with a short dieted meditation? Absolutely. Okay. It might help us connect with the colors that are, that are resonating with us right now. Okay. I'm, I'm totally game. All right. Do it. Okay. And close your eyes. Okay. And take a few deep breaths. Just allow your body to relax and your mind to settle as you breathe. Yeah. Imagine a color coming to mind. Okay. Don't overthink it. Just, just let a color emerge naturally. It might be bright, it might be vibrant, it might be soft and subtle. Just allow it to appear. Okay. Now imagine that color surrounding you, filling your whole body. Okay. And that color of energy just washing over you. How does it make you feel? Yeah. What sensations do you notice? Okay. Just hold that feeling for a moment, allowing yourself to be bathed in the energy of that color. Okay. And when you're ready. Yeah. You can gently open your eyes. Wow. That was, that was incredibly powerful. Yeah. I saw like the most vibrant shade of green. Oh wow. And I, I felt this like surge of energy and, and peace at the same time. It was amazing. Well, that's, that's wonderful. The green is often associated with healing, growth, balance. Wow. It sounds like you tapped into some, some deep wisdom within yourself. I definitely feel more, more grounded, more centered. Yeah. After that. Yeah. I'm, I'm even more curious now to learn more about the, like the specific meanings and the meanings of the colors. Yeah. Yeah. I'm, I'm even more curious now to learn more about the, like the specific meanings and the meanings of the colors. Yeah. I'm, I'm even more curious now to learn more about the, like the specific meanings and the meanings of the colors. Yeah. I'm, I'm even more curious now to learn more about the, like the specific meanings and, and applications of each color. Of each color. Can we, can we dive into that? Absolutely. Okay, great. Yeah. Each color has, has its own like unique vibration. It's energetic signature. Right. And, and they affect us in all these different ways. Yeah. We've touched on a few, but let's, let's explore like the nuances of each one and how we can like consciously use them to support our wellbeing. Yeah. It sounds great. Yeah. So welcome back. Oh, absolutely. I'm, I'm ready to soak it all in after that meditation. Good. Good. Yeah. It really did like sparked my curiosity. Yeah. About, you know, how different colors can, can really affect us. Yeah. Um, let's start with yellow. It's, it's just such a, it's such a, it's such a, it's such a, it's such a, it's such a, it's such a, it's such a, it's such a, it's such a, it's such a, it's such a, it's such a, it's such a, it's
