M - Wind River, Wyoming

There are conflicting reports as to how and where she spent her last years. When she returned from the Pacific Ocean with Lewis and Clark, she may have lived into her old age, living with the Comanches before returning to her homelands. This site in the Wind River Reservation of Wyoming holds the story that Sacajawea lived into old age and was buried at the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming.
