Una danza llamada zarabanda se menciona por primera vez en 1539 en América Central en el poema Vida y tiempo de Maricastaña, escrito en Panamá por Fernando de Guzmán Mejía. La danza parece haber sido especialmente popular en los siglos XVI y XVII, en las colonias españolas. Esta versión, se basa en la pieza musical “Sarabanda / Africa” del músico Italiano Cicci Guitar Condor (2015) con la tablatura y Backing Track de los hermanos Phil y Andrew McGarrick.
