Everything is Super! That's right, it's the Everything is Super podcast talking about all things DCEU. And if you're feeling furious right now, perhaps it's because not just you're about to listen to Shazam! Fury of the Gods podcasting, but also because Kevin Mahadeo is here with me. Kevin! Listen, this movie is about family. Yeah. So it comes out you fast and furious. Yeah, I mean, is Shazam! Fury of the Gods kind of the fast and furious of the DC films? Yeah, the first one's good and the second one's excellent. Aw, man. Yeah, so I guess more to the point, is Shazam! Fury of the Gods the too fast, too furious of the DC universe? It is too fast, too gods. Actually, I think there were three, at least. Yeah. Three gods. Sure. I'm pretty sure that's right if I was tracking it, right? It shows how much I care about making sure I'm saying the right things about this film. Wow, okay, so we'll talk about that for sure. What we'll also talk about is the fact that, hey, we did it. Kevin, we've done it. We're here. We're here. This is the final movie in the DCEU that has been released as we are saying these words. We are saying these words about a month before Flash comes out, before Flash speeds into theaters. Flash! And when that happens, we will for sure be getting back together to talk about it. But this is going to be—we came back, and then we're going to go away, and then we'll come back once the Flash hits. So this is going to be a pause in the DCEU coverage when we're done with Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and then the Flash will close out this project. How are you feeling about that, first and foremost, Kevin? I mean, happy, I guess? This has been such a weird, tumultuous, strange world that's existed. I don't know, dude. This is like re-watching these movies with you and going on this journey has been—I mean, it's fun to record the podcast, but, boy, was it a real reminder of what the DC movies are like. And I just—I don't know, what they could be, and I'm hoping that— What they could be, yeah. I think what I'm learning about myself is I need to do better with my standards. What does that mean? Because a lot of—even with the original Suicide Squad, which is our bottom-ranked film, and, spoilers, that's not changing today, even with that, I was like, at least they're having fun, you know? I think my standards for these are really, really low, so that when there's a mediocre one or one that's just fine, I'm like, it's fine! Everyone relax! As opposed to, it could be better. But it could be better, you know? It could be better! I should be Max Lording some of this stuff, but instead I'm kind of just like, it's fine! Everyone needs to calm down, it's just fine! Is this your version of burnout? Because, like, I get what you're saying, right? I get what you're saying about, like, and sometimes I agree, it's fine. Like, Black Adam, I think, Wonder Woman 84, it's fine, it's fine. But I do think, I don't know, we can look at those movies critically, and, for me, I know that everyone is doing the, it's fine, with obviously The Ant-Man, if you want to hear about that, we covered it, you can go check it out. But, like, is this your version of burnout? Where instead of being like, these movies suck, I hate this, I can't do this, which some people do, your version of burnout is just like, it's fine, it's whatever! Well, I'm definitely not going to be able to muster up any enthusiasm to get angry at Shazam 2, Fury of the Gods. Despite the fact that it says Fury in the title, I'm just not going to be that guy. Because this movie was fine! It's fine! Sometimes it's even fun! Now, did I, like, really pay attention to it? I didn't. I didn't. It didn't command my attention. There were some things in here that were really, really fun and good, and then there was some other stuff in here that was just fine. But nothing aggressively bad in this movie, and so my attitude towards this does just end up being, well, you know, whatever, it's fine, and this is all changing soon anyway, so none of it really even matters. And I guess for, like, completionists' sake, I'm glad that I've seen them all now, but I don't have, like, any scathing, mad, angry takes about this stuff. Maybe a little bit of, like, I'm disappointed. I'm not mad. I'm just a little guilt-trippy, perhaps, but not even that much. I don't know. But I think that maybe that is, to your point, some burnout, or I need to want and desire and expect more from my films. I shouldn't be settling for this, right? You shouldn't settle, is what they say. I mean, I agree. That should just be a life-long thing. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. We shouldn't settle for what we have. No, I think my therapist tells me it's, you know, your whole life isn't going to be clean. You're going to have some sloppy corners in your life, and you just kind of have to accept that. So for me, it's like, I don't have time to clean up the D.C. corner of my room. You know, like, I don't have the energy to do that. That shit's going to resolve itself, or it's not. I can spend no energy on that side of the room. None. I think that's fair. This movie, I'm just going to say, there's maybe one thing that infuriates me, which we'll get to, that fear of the gods me. And there's one thing that I just was like, what is even happening right now? But the rest of the movie, I think, it fluctuates between there's some really great stuff, there's some stuff I truly love, and then a lot of it is whatever. I don't think it's fine. It's whatever. It's just something on a different scale. Sure. Okay, so we're going to talk about it in detail in a bit. Of course, first and foremost, let's tell you what we're doing. We're going to talk about some headlines in the space. Not a ton of headlines to talk about, but some for sure to get into here as we are segueing out of the D.C.E.U. for a time. We'll tell you about what's coming up next for us on the other side of today's podcast. Then we'll talk about Shaz 2, as Brendan Fitzpatrick calls it. Our Jimmy Olsen behind the scenes, he calls it Shaz 2, which I love. Shaz sounds like a worse Shaz. Yes, Shaz 2. We're going to talk about Shaz 2, 2 Furious. We're going to get into all of that. Then we'll do our Mother Box rankings. That's scaling from 0 to 3. We're going to rank the movie and see where all the movies have fallen in our Mother Box rankings. We'll rank the villains as well, Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu. I shall not call them anything else in this film. It's fair. We will rate Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu in this film. We will rate the post-credits scenes, two of them. Kevin found out today that there was a second post-credits scene, as did I because I hadn't seen the movie before, but you walked out of the theater before the credits were finished, Kevin. That seems so unlike Robin and I to do as well. Is this because you were just so defeated? Maybe that, or you know what? I'm not going to put it past the fact that we saw it and then immediately memory wiped ourselves. Yeah. It's possible that you just men in blacked yourself. Yeah. We can't do this and then just wiped it, and now we're desperately waiting for the next Shazam. Sure. Okay. Well, we will get into the post-credits scenes regardless. The aforementioned Robin currently kicking butt in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom in the other room, I hope anyway, is going to give the Sidekick Award, best sidekick of the film. We'll have to rank the final battle. I'm going to have to remember it in order to rank the final battle, which tells you a lot. Then we'll bake some feedback in along the way. Have a merry old time, and that's going to be the Shazam 2 podcast. A merry marvel of a time. Let's do some headlining things first. I think the first thing I want to say, Kevin, is we are closing out the DCEU right now, but we will be back. Before we return, we're going to have a brief stopover in the Spider-Verse. We are going to be resuming some Spider-Man content here on Everything is Super because Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse is coming out in a week, Kevin. I'm so excited. I've avoided so many things. Have you avoided reviews? Yeah. Okay. I've avoided reviews. The only thing I have seen, obviously I saw, I want to say a small teaser. It's hard to avoid it when it just starts up and you're like, oh, God, it's Spider-Verse. I close my eyes. I know obviously everyone's older. Miles has a different design because he's older. The only other thing I got semi-spoiled on is that I play Fortnite, and one of the skins you could buy is Spider-Man 2099. I know Spider-Man 2099 looks jacked AF. That is my one thing because in the previous movie he looked kind of skinny, normal Spider-Man, but clearly he is, I don't know if it's still Miguel under there probably, but he has hit that gym because he is looking buff as hell. Sweet. That's it. That's all I know about this movie. All right. Cool. That's it. We'll be watching it. We're going to podcast about it. I think that the podcast is going to be a few days after Across the Spider-Verse. Grace and Ariel over at Posture Recap Theater are also going to be watching and discussing the movie. I think that podcast is likely to come first, but we may come sort of around the same time. I think we have a little bit of a delay in when we're going to be able to record that, so it will be a spoiler-filled podcast. We will assume that you have watched Across the Spider-Verse. I don't think that we're going to need to do a spoiler-free thing because unless it's like a thunderous disaster, it's going to be an excellent film. Yeah. History has sort of dictated that. It's not like a should-you-see-it thing to do here for us anyway. I think it's clearly like, yeah, we're going to go see it. We're assuming you're going to go see it, and then we're going to talk about it in spoiler-rific detail. So if you want to get in feedback for that or any of the stuff we're doing around here, super at PostureRecaps.com is the way for that if you want to e-mail us. So the Across the Spider-Verse podcast is going to be the next thing from Kevin and I. After that, we're going to talk about The Flash. We did just talk about Offline. I don't want to say what we talked about, but we did talk about a special bonus show. So maybe if we can get our acts together, it will come out before The Flash. But we will be doing The Flash for sure. It's coming out in a month. There are things being said about The Flash, as we have covered on the podcast over the past couple of weeks. Kevin, people seem to love this movie. This is going to be the movie that saves D.C. movies. It's going to be the best. What's your take on that? A Pantheon superhero movie is what we're hearing already. Here's something that I'm hearing that I think might be karma for me, because we got into, again, and I won't identify it here, but we talked about a relevant post-credits cameo in a different non-D.C. movie on last week's podcast, talking about Black Adam, because it was relevant to the conversation and we had to do it, but it was really recent to that movie coming out. So perhaps the universe is paying me back by putting a rather large spoiler for The Flash on my radar that I really wish I didn't know, but I do know it, and it was thrown my way very casually on one of the various entertainment websites that I frequent to get my news and spread my news and such, and the sources that I trust, the trusted source, and they did me wrong. They did me dirty, and they just casually reported it like it was reporting the news as opposed to reporting a spoiler. So I've been spoiled on a thing in The Flash, and I feel like that's just going to keep happening for people. So this is your public service advisory of be careful out there, true believers. Flash spoilers are running wild. Running wild. Yeah, we talked about this, and so The Flash, for me, I almost am in the opposite camp. I think we have discussed my usual strategy. If I'm all in a movie, I'll avoid everything. If I'm not, I'll just watch stuff. And so I've seen a lot of The Flash trailers and everything because I'm going to watch it. I'm not, I don't think, as excited as other people are. The reviews are having the almost opposite effect on me, which is weird. I think it's a natural contrarian to me where all the reviews are like, this is the best thing ever, and I'm like, oh, we'll see then. I've avoided this spoiler, and I do think I asked you, because this has to be my barometer, which is like, is it something you wish you didn't know, and you said yes. Yeah, I wish I didn't know. I was like, I will avoid this. So I'm actively trying to avoid this spoiler because hopefully it will be an experience that would make the movie feel more genuine to me. I don't know. We'll see. But we're going to check it out. I'm going in there with an open mind. Are you? Yeah, you know, it's there. I'm willing to be led along. I'm not going to be like a stubborn mule refusing to move. Just, you know, give me some nice carrots, and I'll continue onwards here. Does the Flash eat carrots? I mean, he's metabolizing so quickly, the carrots are not going to do much. He'd have to eat like a million carrots a day to get the caloric intake he needs. Yeah, Rabbit always blamed Pooh for eating, or Gopher for eating carrots. It's actually the Flash the whole time. It was the Flash the whole time, just speeding in and out. So there are Flash spoilers. Be careful out there. We will talk about the Flash when the Flash comes out, and we'll talk about the spoilers from that. That will be a spoiler-filled podcast as well. And then shortly after the Flash comes out, Secret Invasion is going to launch on Disney+. You and I are not going to be doing episodic coverage. That is going to go to Jason and Sasha, who are going to take the wheel on Secret Invasion. So I'm very excited to listen along for that. I'm sure you and I will find some way to talk about it at some point in time. So that's what you can look forward to in your Everything is Super podcast feed for the next little while. Kevin, no major news in the DC universe at this current moment in time, as I am saying these words, other than the fact that James Gunn has tweeted out that he is going to be real careful about the news that comes from his corner of the universe. Are you aware of what James Gunn tweeted this week, Kevin? I am aware of what he tweeted, which was basically just like, I got to chill out. I got to calm down. I listened to the Everything is Super podcast, and they were saying I should probably relax my tweeting, and I think they might be right. James Gunn tweeted the following. One of those paragraph tweets, because I don't know if you know, the word count has expanded greatly. I think if you're verified or you have a Twitter blue, which is just the same thing now. I've seen an article-length tweet, and I'm like, what is happening? I don't think I have the ability to do that, thank God. I barely want to tweet two words. James Gunn tweeted, I'm getting barraged with bullshit DC rumors this morning. I'll just reiterate the general rule, not to believe anything unless it comes from me or Peter. But unless it's especially egregious, I'm going to slow down on calling shit out. Sorry, I know, it's one of my favorite traditions. There are three reasons for this. One, some people are making up lies to get attention from me or to get clicks, and I don't want to encourage that. Two, I've read 100 rumors this morning. One of them is half true, so I don't want to be used as a way for people to throw nonsense at the wall until something sticks. Three, I'm storyboarding Superman legacy and don't have time. Have a great day. And he ended it with what looks to be a Merman emoji, so I guess it's an Aquaman shout-out, unless James is really excited about the Little Mermaid reboot. Could be that. Could be that. Could be that. James Gunn going to slow his roll. I have nothing to add other than good idea. It really is. I do think his reasoning makes sense. We're hitting onto a stream. We know that he comments on stuff. Look, we could spend an entire podcast, Josh, you and I specifically having experience in this world talking about the state of entertainment journalism, but this method of throwing stuff against the wall because you know the person's going to comment on it is a strategy. So him taking note of it and just being like, I am not going to do this because it's just going to encourage rumor mongering. Bad behavior. I think it makes sense. Really, journalists should be taking note of this. They won't, but they should. Yeah, so he's just going to chill. He's going to hang out. He's going to work on his storyboards. Is he allowed to do that? He's going to work on his little drawings. Is he allowed to do that right now? Is that not writing? I don't know. Specifically, it's drawing, Josh. Okay, but is it not a point? I don't know. I'm not going to interrogate this too hard. Go listen to the Writer's Strike podcast we did. It was very, very good. Dr. Aman and I talking to Justin Shain, writer of Superstore, about the Writer's Strike. Lots of info in there if you are not caught up on what's going on and what's at stake. So that's basically it. I guess the only other thing that might be quasi-relevant and may never be relevant at all is The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel ended this week, and Rachel Brosnahan, apparently, is running for Lois Lane. Oh, great. I was looking for this connection, and you're referencing, of course, an article that is about her. So I hope that she has a marvelous time heading over to D.C., if that is a thing that occurs. All right, Kevin, that's all the headlines I've got. You want to talk Shaz 2? Let's do Shaz 2, period. Okay, two advertisements, or maybe more, depending on where you are. We're going to do a quick commercial break, and then when we come back, Shaz 2. Priceline presents Go To Your Happy Price. All right, Kevin, here we are, talking about Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which came out in March 2023, but you'd be forgiven if you didn't know it. On a budget of $110 to $125 million, Kevin, this movie made $133 million at the box office. That's sad. It's sad. That's a very, very, very bad result. I think it's one of the worst superhero, like major blockbuster superhero movie results ever, on at least the relative scale. And if that's not a franchise killer, Kevin, I don't know what is. Even though Zachary Levi, I think, is tight with James Gunn, I don't see a Shazam! 3 happening based on those results. I don't either. But, like, honestly, to be fair, to quote the internet right now in a meme format, name a bigger downgrade. So, you know, I don't know. That is harsh, but... It's tough. Yeah, this movie really... Disappointing is the best way to put it for me. You know how high I was on the previous film. Yeah. Shazam! is one of my favorite characters. I have his comics right next to me here. I'm looking at them. And it's just... This movie was so... I don't know. What happened, I guess, behind the scenes? Like, why did they choose this story? They made up villains for the movie. You have a character with this rich history, and amazing history, and you set up a villain, and you just make up new ones that are the blandest toasts on the wall. It's just severely disappointing in that regard. But the things that I liked about the first movie in terms of the cast and the humor and their interactions are still there. Sure. They, I think, excel in this film. And that's probably the biggest tragedy coming out of this is that these actors, I think, do a really great job. But at the same time, I don't think there was going to be a Shazam! 3 regardless because the whole premise is that they have to be young. And I got news about these kids. Yeah, they're not kids anymore. That's part of the plot, is that Billy's like, I'm 18, you're going to kick me out. And I love that moment. Like, my sweet boy. You're not going anywhere. You can stay here forever. That was kind. Home is home. That was very kind. But, like, very notably, Asher Angel is not really in the movie that much. As, like, young Billy Batson, he's very limitedly in the movie. It is basically Zachary Levi Shazam for most of it. And it makes sense because as Asher Angel is becoming a young adult, it's weird that he doesn't look like Zachary Levi. Especially when you do that with Mary already, who now looks like herself when she transforms. That wasn't the case in the previous film. She now looks like herself. It's weird that he doesn't. I also think similar... Does that happen in the comics ever? Like, do they, like, become older individuals and then, like, now they look like their actual superhero counterparts? Because, like, you could fast forward to, you know, 20 years down the line and Shazam is just Zachary Levi in both versions, right? It's been played with. I think the most well-known time they've done that is in Kingdom Come, because Billy at that point is an adult, so when he transforms, he's just himself. But really, in the modern comics, they don't really do that. They keep them young because that's sort of the premise of the situation. There's some slight differences. I think Mary, when she transforms, looks a little bit older. She's actually much closer now than it used to be because the most recent story, which is, oh my God, Mary Marvel Champion as Shazam, I think it's called. Okay. Highly recommend it. The artists especially. Doc Shaner is one of my favorite comic book artists. I love his style a lot. But it's kind of like matching that because she's, I think, around, like, older college age. So she sort of, when she transforms, still looks semi-close to herself. Yeah. I mean, it wouldn't be quite right for an 18-year-old to turn into a 42-year-old Zachary Levi, and Zachary Levi can't quite play like a 20-something person either. Well, he's definitely playing a 12-year-old, that's for sure. Well, yeah, but, you know, in terms of, like, spiritually he is, but, like, physically, he's not going to be able to play somebody in their 20s. No. There's, like, I guess Disney is about to test this with the Dial of Destiny and Harrison Ford. Can you de-age Zachary Levi to be a younger Billy Batson? I don't think so. But these are irrelevant conversations because this movie bombed. Bombed. It bombed, and I think, like, even before we talk about what's in the movie itself, my question for you is, do you suspect that this movie bombed because the movie's just fine at best, or do you think the movie bombs because no one cares about the DC movies anymore, and if that's the case, what is this forecasting, Kevin? I mean, it's probably a column A, column B situation here. We're in a weird spot. I think the first thing is that Shazam! isn't a super well-known character. The first movie was good. I think it was well-received. People really liked it, but it wasn't breaking any, you know, anyone's... 2019. It did pretty well. Right. About a $100 million budget and made almost $400 million. Right. But, like, when you consider now, right? Like, it's two years later. It's been more than that, probably. It's been a while later. Yeah, 2019 when the first one came out. Yeah, this one's coming out now. The reviews are probably mixed, and the universe doesn't matter, right? So there's all those combos leading up to it, which I think is going to hamstring it. But I think, honestly, the biggest thing that's probably hamstringing it is that as much as you and I are very plugged in to what is Marvel, what is DC, what is everything, the general populace isn't really tracking what movies what necessarily. Yeah. And it's always like, what do I need to see to watch the next big one? And unfortunately, this is one that I don't think people would have needed to see anyway if it was part of the MCU. It's not a big enough character. And secondly, I do think, as a whole, the state of superhero movies is on a pretty severe decline for the general populace. Yeah. So this movie, if you're going to skip one, would have been it. Yeah, I suppose so. But I do feel like... Yeah, I don't know. I think that there's a... Black Adam comes out and is a disappointment as well, and that's the movie that comes out right before this, a few months before this, even if you and I liked it a bit. Most people didn't. It doesn't do terribly well either. And so I just do think that there's some measure of greatly diminishing returns. March was also a really crowded month. There was a lot going on in March and even early April that was competing for screen time. John Wick 4 is around this time. The D&D movie, which also didn't do quite as well as it should have because it was terrific. It was really great. Really great. And then Mario comes out and totally stomps all over everything. Wasn't there something else in March that was relatively big? Those are ones I noticed. I'm trying to think of what I watched in March. Yeah, so I think that also we are living in the age of I'll wait for streaming. Scream. Scream 6, right? I think Scream 6 was out around this time. I watched that on Paramount+. Yeah, Creed, Scream 6. So these were movies that were coming out around this time. So it was actually pretty competitive. I mean, right now there's a lot on offer. This year has actually been very compelling for what's competing for your interest at the box office. There's a strong argument. It's like, go back to movie theaters if you can, if you feel good about it. It's almost like two years of movies weren't made and then now they just are pumping them all out to catch up. Looking forward to having that experience with TV pretty soon. It's going to be fun on the podcast. It's going to be interesting. We'll figure it out. So I think that there's some degree to it was very competitive. I think also the turnaround of some of this stuff coming to streaming. People are good to wait now unless it's an event that you absolutely have to go out to theaters for. And I don't think that a movie about a C-tier character in a C-tier franchise, dare I say, based on how the DC movies have been treated, that is also about to be rebooted, if you have that information at your disposal, is really going to be something that draws you out. I'd be curious to know what the streaming numbers are for Fury of the Gods. It's on Max now. Max? Max. What do you mean, Max? Yes. Max is here to tell you what to watch and Fury of the Gods is there. But a big point of all of the striking and everything that everyone's upset about or among the things that people are upset about, there's no actual discernible streaming data anyway. So we won't know if Fury of the Gods is doing particularly well on Max. It's not going to make much of a difference anyway. It's not going to get people to sign up for Max, which is going to be the biggest thing that they really want from a lot of this stuff. Were they leaning on Fury of the Gods to be the driver to Max? Exactly, right? That's my point. I don't think even its numbers aren't going to be enough to warrant anything. That would have been amazing. It is unfortunate. I think what you just said really spoke to the state of movies and I think a shifted public persona. And while you and I probably understand that and a lot of other people understand that, either A, the people who run these companies don't understand it, or B, they do understand it, they just don't care about capitalism. Yeah, maybe. Maybe, maybe. Okay, well then let's talk about what's in here. Fury of the Gods, a sequel to Shazam, in which scenes occur and characters are in them. They are. And then there's another scene in which characters exist and eventually the film ends. Well, there's also a dragon in there. There's a dragon in there. And Helen Mirren rides it and then is impaled by it and Lucy Liu rides it as well. Correct. And Shazam gets zapped and he's like, oh, my suit has been charred. And then he kind of dies for a minute and then Wonder Woman brings him back to life. Did I basically get the movie? I mean, that's essentially the film. People lose powers. Can you do a nutshell version of this movie? What's this movie about? What's Fury of the Gods about? Sure. The wizard Shazam and his cohorts originally how they got the powers of the gods to then grant the champion is sort of revealed that they stole it and they locked away the other gods and the daughters of those gods, one specific Atlas, is really upset so they come back and they want to get revenge on the world and they steal the MacGuffin staff, attack the Shazam family. There's a dragon. They try to destroy the world because that's always what happens. And then Billy sacrifices himself but not really. I mean, that's essentially the plot of this movie. Freddie Freeman falls in love with a god? Yes. I mean, once again, I think that's the fun part is Freddie Freeman. Freddie Freeman is the best part of the film for sure. I do love that they... This is what I mean. I think the writing in terms of the characters is so strong because I think the moment where she says she's 6,000 years old but then they make out and the parents are just like, this feels inappropriate. Yeah, it feels wrong. And I love that, right? Those are those moments that I think the movie does shine. What I just described to you, that's the plot. And it feels like about like, oh, they're upset. They want revenge. They steal a MacGuffin. They're going to destroy the world. Hero maybe sacrificed himself. And like, yes, that's the plot to a lot of movies. But this is the whole thing. Sometimes the plots are different and it's engaging and interesting. And if you're going to do a plot like that, you can figure out ways to make it a little more engaging and interesting. But they did it. And the main plot of this movie is just so bland coming off of a promise of the bad guy is a mind-controlling worm. And you can see why. It's just like, why? And they made up these villains. These aren't villains that exist in the comics. They made them up for this movie, which is wild because there's so many interesting things you could pull from for this character. And it just leaves me boggled. Well, that's very like 2002. You know? Villain? Well, that idea of we're just going to like basically do Brian Cox is the bad guy as opposed to, I don't know, any number of the extraordinarily colorful X-Men villains out there. Okay, wait. I'm going to pause you right there. You pulled one, but that was the wrong pull because... I'm talking about it as a premise. I'm not talking about Brian Cox specifically, who is Bay. Right. But I mean specifically, though, he played William Stryker. And I'm okay with taking a character from the comics and re-kajiggering it to make them a little different, keep the core of the same. And that's okay. And I really like what they did with Stryker. Would Meteor Man have been a better pull? Oh my God. Or Nuclear Man. Sorry, Nuclear Man. I was going to say, don't you crap talk Meteor Man. I've never seen Meteor Man. I would love to do Meteor Man. I love that movie. There's one part that's going to be hard to talk about. Oh, no. Bill Cosby. Okay. Oh, all right, all right. He's not a major character, but he's in it. Yeah, well. But I love that movie, dude. Anyway. Yeah. What a catch. Don Cheadle's enough? Anyway. Nuclear Man in Superman 4 might have been an example. But they did something else, right? That's the thing, is that they took this made-up character and it was such a cliche element to it to the point of like, oh, there's three of them. One of them is going to be a good guy, the other one's going to question it and die, and one of them's the real bad one, and it's just all boring and bland. But it's also surrounded by like, you know, Freddy Freeman as Captain Marvel Jr. on the bridge saving those ladies, and when he's pulling the cars at the beginning, he's just like, oh, no, I'm kidding. This is really easy. Sure. There's those elements that are so fun and highlight the characters and have a great time. The unicorn bit was a little bit too predictable, but like hearing, taste the rainbow, mother. Yeah, it's pretty good. It was very fun. Yeah. And Jimon Hounsou and Jackson and Glazer hanging out in that labyrinth was probably the funniest part of the movie. A pretty good buddy cop duo. And getting Jimon Hounsou like, actually in the movie is a great choice. He's so good. I don't feel like I ever knew Jimon Hounsou was so funny, I guess. Well, that wasn't a surprise to me. I'm trying to think of like, where that first tracked for me. Certainly Guardians of the Galaxy, you know, he's a key part of that very first Star Lord scene, so he's terrific. He's so great. When he calls him Jeff, I think Robin and I like, literally cackled in the theater, where he was just like, come on Jeff, did you just call me Jeff? She literally just said my name. Yeah. How many people were in the theater when you saw it? A pretty decent amount. Oh, interesting. Because like we saw it opening weekend because I love Shazam! You wanted to support your guy. But like even then, it was opening weekend, it wasn't a packed theater. Like it was full, but not like every seat. Like compare that to when I went to see Mario and that. Still haven't done it. It's great. Streaming soon, right? Yeah, I'm waiting. It's well worth it. Watch Mario if you're a fan of the show. I shall. I shall. I shall do so. Yeah! Here we go! Wahoo! So people were watching the movie. That's great. Yeah, I like Jimon Hounsou in this. I like that he gets to sort of, this is the second time this week on a podcast, I'm going to say, has his Genie You're Free moment. You know, he gets to go and wander the world. That would be fun. I doubt we'll ever really see what that looks like, so just let it live on in your heart. This movie does commit the sin of having Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu in it and like not having them be interesting at all. Not at all. And one of the funny things that I do remember in the lead up to this was some of the press that the two of them were doing where they were like, we're in such heavy costumes, it was so hot, and we authentically thought maybe we were, there was like a murder plot happening to get us killed in real life because it's so uncomfortable. You know that we're actually quite old, right? Yeah, like we shouldn't be wearing all of this stuff. But it is just sort of bizarre that this is the superhero movie that you waste Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu on. To again, just be like, I think these cliche villains that had interesting moments. Like again, the writing is really strong at parts where you get to see them do something. Like when Helen Mirren is reading the note because the kids learn that in the Rock of Eternity there's a magical pen that like writes and does stuff as essentially their bookkeeper. And so it wrote the letter as they dictate it. But then you get the perspective of Helen Mirren reading the letter and reading them talking out loud. The way she delivered that moment, I thought was quite spectacular. So like you have great actors. Honestly, that's something I will say about this movie that is both a strength and like what a weakness. Because I think this movie is full of extremely good actors. Obviously Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu, I will hear no bad talk about them. But you also have, I think, Jack Dylan Glazer, who's really, really good. Jimon Hounsou is really good. Acting these scenes and really again, acting these scenes that sometimes the script isn't held up to. I remembered in the theater and re-watching it, the scene where Jack Dylan Glazer is on the roof. Yes, this is going to live with me for a long time. Where Diedrich Bader gets like, he shows, he's Mr. Gekkel. He's the teacher. He's like a very supportive teacher. Supportive teacher. And he just gets killed. Yes, Lucy Liu. In a really chilling way. Yes, extremely chilling. Whispers into his ear and she says, I won't touch him, I swear, which is true. And she basically tells him to like walk off the roof. And he does. He does. And Jack Dylan Glazer watches and how he acts, his reaction, really felt like this kid, again kid, just saw the teacher that had been supporting him in this school where he's been picked on a lot, die. Meaningless. It never comes back. It's never worth anything. Well yeah, because we move on to comedy with him. We move on, it's not even move on to comedy with him. We never see a fallout from it or how it affected him to want to do something later on. Yeah. Because they instead want to shoehorn this love story that we've seen a zillion times as well into this movie. And that's what sucks is that I think there's such good acting and comedic chops in this movie, but unfortunately the plot and the writing isn't held up to the standard of the star power behind it. Sure. There are some really funny moments in this. I think the whole all we gotta do is save the bridge. The smash cut. Yeah. That was exceptionally great. So there are some funny moments in here, but I think that nothing is really accomplished in this movie that didn't get done in the first one, I think. Billy's whole journey of I'm getting old and they're going to deny me and I'm not going to be a part of this family anymore just feels like not... It felt like he got there. It felt like he satisfied that by the end of the first movie. Like, no, this is my family. Right. I'm going to be fine. And then this idea, even in I feel like the messaging from Mary. Mary has this conversation with Billy. I don't remember where in the movie, but it's basically like I'm going to go off to college. You got to be cool with that. Things are going to change, but it doesn't mean we're not a family forever. But nothing lasts forever. And so part of me is like, well, which one is it? So even in that conversation that's trying to get at the theme of Billy's story in the movie was very incongruent to me. But I think the bigger problem is this is like a very smaller version of Shazam's arc in movie one. This movie really does feel, even with the post-credits scene, especially the one that you watched for the first time today, this movie really feels like a movie two of a three-part thing. And it's a lot of hubris to believe that you're getting Shazam 3. I think you're getting my criticism that's about to come in the future. But yeah. That you're making Fury of the Gods specifically so you can make Fury of the Gods Tokyo Drift. Which is a superior one, mind you. Yeah, but I don't think you should be holding anything back for your sequel. You should be thrilled that you get the chance to make a sequel. And so you should just throw all of your future ideas into the present right now. There's no guarantee for tomorrow. And I think that there is no chance for tomorrow. So the Mr. Mind stuff is never going to pay off now. But I find it hilarious. I think the Mr. Mind stuff is hysterical. It's so mean. It's so mean. It's so mean that Mr. Mind shows up at the end. And there he is. He's like, I'm back. I'm back for you, daddy. And I said, where have you been? It's been two years. I'm an old guy. That felt like Mark Strong himself was just like, come on. I can't just stay in here. He's like, all right. I'll get you out. Just one more thing. And he turns and slithers away with such a hilariously mean Where have you been? It takes me a long time to get anywhere. Have a little word from me. It was so mean. But I thought hilarious. I loved that, unironically. But I feel like, I don't know. If you really are actually setting up a thing that you were then going to do with Mr. Mind unless it was just a gag, which I think it's possible it is just a gag, that also feels cynical and like we can't take on a challenge of making Mr. Mind a compelling movie villain. So we'll just turn him into a joke, which I don't think is my favorite trend in some of these movies. It's either that or they were saving him for a round three that's never gonna happen. But the actual scene, I laughed so hard. I thought it was so funny. It's hard for me to separate that, right? Sure, I get that. The comedic is great. It's very fun. Mark Strong is fantastic. I can get there faster because I care a lot less about this than you do. But for me, the hubris of it is where I get stuck on. The sheer audacity of you to assume you're gonna get another movie, which by the way, this has happened to Mark Strong twice. A lot, a lot. Twice now because this happened with Green Lantern. So the idea of a post-credit scene doing this again with him is just the audacity of it. It's tough. And again, the assumption you're gonna get a third film, which is already a push in a movie that is required to have kids who are getting older. So there was so much that was wrong with this idea of just like, we're actually not gonna do Mr. Biden. Maybe we'll do him in the third movie. It's just, I don't know. It really, really, really bugged me. Especially because the first movie felt like it had some sort of respect for the comics and for the feelings of the movie and wasn't holding back in a way that, to your point, feels very 2000 of just like, we can't treat comics like comics. They have to be cool. So to do that, I think, is just also again a slap in the face of what these movies have become and what makes the successful one successful. What makes James Gunn doing his thing successful. So I hate that post-credit scene for that reason. But again, there's stuff in this movie. The opening of this movie, I'll be honest with you, pretty solid. The entire thing in that... They did it better in Black Panther. I guess that's true, but that's a different vibe and feel. Yeah. Yeah. I thought the opening was interesting. And then they just, I think, did nothing really fun as it kept going on. They became blander and blander. But again, the characters, when you have those moments where Billy asks like, did he have super speed? And then switches places with her. She smacks herself basically and he's like, nope, guess not. I think is one, very smart, but also just really fun. So there's a lot of fun that happens in this movie. But like, once you hit that third act, especially, it's just mostly, mostly boring. I mean, I watched it yesterday and I feel like I've forgotten everything that's happened in it. That's not great. That's not great. You know, I inevitably forget a lot of these things, but usually at least a couple of weeks transpire. It's been less than 24 hours since I finished watching Fury of the Gods. And I really don't remember too much of it. So it's like very unmemorable. But, and I wanted to bring some feedback into this. This is from Riley. Riley said, I think having low expectations helped. It wasn't awful. It was okay. It was pretty good, which was better than I was expecting. And so, in the same comment, Riley thought that I had seen the movie already and tagged me in this comment. And Riley went on to say, I will say, I could not stop laughing at the use of the Wonder Woman theme in this movie at her introduction, which was how I found out that Wonder Woman was in Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Riley and I talked it through. We're all good, but my bigger takeaway rather than, okay, so now I know Wonder Woman is in this. The movie is ruined for me. It was nothing like that. My bigger thing was almost like, how do I not know that? This movie has been out for months. I'm pretty plugged in to a lot of these entertainment news circles. You would think that I would know that Wonder Woman was in Fury of the Gods, and that was a thing that felt to me like just nobody talked about this movie. Even the people who watched it, no one, and that's a small amount of people relatively, right, of people who actually checked out Fury of the Gods. No one talked about it. No. There was no word of mouth behind it. I should know that Gal Gadot was in Fury of the Gods. It's also such a worthless executed, worthlessly executed scene. I almost, is it hilarious? Yes. I laughed a lot because it was so stupid. Which one? When she shows up at the end? Yes. Or when Jaman Hansu is Wonder Woman for a moment? That scene is funny. That felt true to like Billy's stuff in the first movie. That was like Skinny Steve is tired. Jaman Hansu as Wonder Woman is beyond wired. It's incredible. I meant at the end. And it's so frustrating because it also is another perfect microcosm of the audacity of, right? Where like the post-credit scene is the audacity of assuming you're going to get another movie. And this one is the audacity of assuming just a person showing up is going to be like this moment, right? Like, it's almost equitable to Charlize Theron showing up at the end of Multiverse of Madness. Right. You're just like, is this Charlize Theron? Why? What? Because they're setting up a sequel. Right. But in this, it's the same type of like, okay, I have no care or feeling or interest. Like, I guess Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman was a good Wonder Woman, but why do I care that she's here? And the line reading, well, the line itself I think is really great. Like, if you think about the setup, this idea of just like, unfortunately there are no more gods and someone off screen saying like, there is still one, right? I know you're not a Buffy guy, but there is a scene that is legendary in Buffy in a later season where someone has a very similar like, badass moment of saying something off screen about like, well, actually. And it's pretty fantastic. And it was almost going for that. But if they had set up this idea beyond just like, Billy had a wet dream about Wonder Woman, it could have been a cool payoff. Like, it could have made sense. If they had met previously, if she had any real influence into this story and interactions in this world, her showing up would have been really, really cool. But unfortunately, she has none. So she shows up and you're just like, what? And then the music kicks in and you're just like, oh, Jesus. Riley says that that moment that she shows up where her theme plays really loudly was designed as an attack at me. I think Riley's right. I do think Riley is right. It is played very loudly. Alex had written in about this movie and said, that was actually a lot of fun. I didn't care for the first one, but this one actually had me invested in what was going on. Helen Mirren and Lucy Lu were okay-ish villains, even if Lu was a bit wooden at times, like her dragon. Freddy and the wizard's interactions were the best part. Billy in both forms I could go without, but Freddy really is one of the best sidekicks or even main characters that we have had in a DC movie. The Wonder Woman fake-out and then actual cameo was pretty good, even down to that still-ridiculous guitar riff. Those after-credits scenes were so obviously James Gunn just having fun. Do you think that that was James Gunn involved in those post-credits scenes at all? He might have written Harcourt and Economos. I know that he sometimes tries to do that, like write the characters when they appear elsewhere, including, I think, the Guardians for Thor. If so, and especially with the engine of that post-credits scene is recruiting Shazam to the Justice Society, you could envision that he's recruiting Shazam to the Justice Society and then he's recruiting Shazam to the Justice Society. You could envision a world where James Gunn was like, okay, well, if this works out, we can do a Justice Society and then early testing, it's like, this isn't going to work out. I don't know. I mean, I do think that in the world where James Gunn is bringing people along, we still don't know. Maybe Flash will clarify it a bit more, like is it a full reset or what? I guess that there's a world where Zachary Levi could be included in a Justice Society movie or brought in as a cameo, but I do not see the world where we're ever doing a Shazam-led movie ever again. Yeah, which is unfortunate, but you know, sometimes maybe it is the better call to have a character be established and liked in a team movie before branching off, especially if it's a lower tier character. Yeah, I like Zachary Levi in the first movie. I still enjoy a lot of him in this movie, but the problems of the first movie, I think, are amplified, sadly, with him in this, because it is a situation where in the first film we talked about this, right, like him and Asher Angel probably never had a conversation and they just don't feel like the same character at all, whereas like Freddy, you know, and Captain Marvel Jr., whatever you want to call him, they feel like him and Adam Brody, right, like Jack and Adam, uh, Jack Dylan Glazer and Adam Brody feel like they talked or at least have a similar personality enough that they knew how to portray this character, because Billy's whole thing is that he is older and he's 18, yet he's still playing him, Zachary Levi's still playing him like he's 12. He almost has this Arrested Development situation in him, um, and he's made a huge mistake, uh, by like not playing that character correctly. Like that Arrested Development part was not fully part of the story because, again, Asher Angel didn't play it that way, so it just really felt incongruous and even more so now. Totally agreed. All right, well, let's rate the movie. Mother Box rankings, Kevin, uh, scale of 0 to 3. People still want to write them in. You can. Super at postshowrecaps.com. We will solidify everything once we get to The Flash. Kevin, uh, where does Shaz 2 land for you? You know, despite all my complaints, I did say there was a lot of things I really liked about this movie, which is still true. I think the cast is really good. The comedy is really good. The acting is extremely good. Um, there's a lot I don't like. However, the question became, do I dislike it enough to rank it lower than Black Adam and put it into the realm of the other parts of the Snyderverse? And in a this is why ratings are arbitrary and reductive, I cannot in good conscience do that. Uh-huh. So I'm giving it a 2. Okay. The same rating as Black Adam, despite my own personal taste being like, well, it probably would be lower, but the ratings are the ratings. Yeah, I've walked into this conversation feeling like they were about as good as each other. Uh, was sort of my feeling on Shaz 2. Uh, but then, like, in talking it through, I was really struck by how little I remember about this movie. Like, I just, and I watched it yesterday, and that's nuts. Like, that should not be the way. This is not the way. Uh, so I think I have to knock it even a little bit lower than I was initially planning. Um, I, you're maybe gonna think that I'm nuts for this. I don't know. You wanna get nuts? All right. I think that this is, this does feel low, I think, where I'm ultimately landing with it. And yet, I think it's, I think it's right, and it's actually kind of funny where it nets out based on our averages, because, of course, the listeners are scoring this as well. But I'm gonna give this, uh, a 1.6. Wow. Um, I gave Black Adam a 1.9, which feels kind of high, but there's stuff in that movie that I, like, the experience of watching Black Adam in theaters and having, uh, some surprise there, uh, of just, like, the quality of it for me being as good as it was, relatively speaking, and seeing, you know, there's nothing in this movie that's even competitive for me with Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate. Like, Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate is going to buy a lot of goodwill. Like, Black Adam's gonna eat on Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate for years for me. Um, so I can't, I can't rate them equally. Uh, so I gotta go lower, and I thought about it a little bit further, and I feel like it's not as good as Zack Snyder's Justice League. It's just not Shaz 2, uh, for me. Yeah. I, I will remember Zack Snyder's Justice League, for better and for worse, of course. Uh, but I, I will, I will remember it, and I will recall events from it, and there are things in that movie that are also pretty great, uh, like Ray Fisher as Cyborg, that, uh, I don't think that Shaz 2 has much of at all. So, I'm, I'm landing at a 1.6 for this, which between your score, my score, and the audience score gives Shaz 2 a 1.81, which is the exact same score as Black Adam. So we have a tie. We now have a tie. Uh, so here is where we land on the Mother Box rankings for the movies before The Flash comes out. Bottom of the barrel is Suicide Squad. Then it's Batman versus Superman Department of Justice. In 11th, it's Justice League. In 10th, it's Man of Steel. In 9th, it's Zack Snyder's Justice League. Tied in 8th, it's Black Adam and Shaz 2. Vaulting forward to 6th, Wonder Woman 84. 5th place is Aquaman. 4th place, Birds of Prey. 3rd place, Wonder Woman. 2nd place, still OG Shaz. Uh, the Suicide Squad. So those are the rankings of the movies as they currently stand. This feels so appropriate, though. Like, to your point, because not only does it make sense to land where they're equal at the same score, but boy, does that speak to also Black Adam and where he actually belongs versus where he wants to be. Like, yes, that movie's rated higher than Man of Steel, but like, no, no, no. You were exactly at the same level as Shazam. That's, that's your deal. I think that's right. I think that's right. Like, I think this movie's ultimately harmless and fine, but, uh, I really think that I should not have it completely out of my head having just watched it. That's probably not great. It's harmless and fine, but again, I think my biggest issue is that it really dropped the ball after a phenomenal, uh, first movie and set up to what could've been a second movie under the presumption you're gonna get a third movie. Hubris. Hubris. Um, villain rankings. Kevin, you are a one on both Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu. Those ones are all because it's Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu. The characters, I probably would've given less than that. Yeah, uh, I went with 1.5 specifically for that reason. Uh, like, the .5 comes exactly from the fact that you are Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu in this movie, but I shall remember nothing about them either. They were sisters. Yep. And Lucy Liu betrayed Helen Mirren. Yeah, there's also a third sister, Rachel Ziegler, who ends up being a good guy, but, like, who gives a crap about what that story was. Uh, we're not rating her. We're not rating the dragon either. Uh, this leaves Lucy Liu is a 1.32, Helen Mirren a 1.39. They are lost numbers, 15 and 16, on our villain rankings respectively. Um, hilariously, the only things that matter on the villain rankings that are worth, uh, are worth pointing out, uh, is Peacemaker and Waller and Starro are still our top three, but the funniest one for me forever is going to be Suicide Squad's Incubus with a full-on zero. Zero. Zeroes across the board. Like the purest... Oh, well-deserved. The paladin of zeroes. Incredible. Absolutely incredible. Um, post-credits rankings, Kevin, there's two of them. The Justice Society and Mr. Mindpart Deux. I... Mm-hmm. Ugh. Do you remember what you gave? I do. I believe I gave, uh, the JSA a two. Yes. Um, which I am fine with. Shazam actually was a member of the JSA in the comics, so I like that. I always loved seeing Harcourt and Economos, so don't dislike that. I thought it was a fun scene. Uh, I do think it was really funny, her delivery of, uh... He's like, wait, are those... Those are different things? And he's like, yeah, because of how words work, I think her is great. So, like, as a scene, I thought it was fun. A potential future that will never be. Yeah, I like to think about it, though. So, like, I can't... I certainly, based on what we said about Superman, I can't knock it for that. Um, I thought that, like, ending on the note of the Avengers, like, the Avenging Society sounds great. Uh, that was pretty funny. I thought that this was just, like, as, like, almost like a short movie. Mm-hmm. Uh, like, as just, like, a little bit of a sketch. Uh, I thought it was terrific. I really... I really liked that. So, I gave it a 2.5, uh, for the Justice Society scene. And then, yeah, I have to give The Shrine 2.0 a full three. I laughed really hard. That I will remember. One of the things I will remember about the Shazam movies are the Mr. Mindrunners at the end. And for me, I think that they're hysterical. I understand you being pretty bitterly disappointed with that. Yeah, it's a... it's a one for me, and it's so funny because it's a one for the exact same reasons as I gave Black Adam a three, but, like, the opposite emotional effect. Because, again, like, whereas Black Adam, the hubris and audacity just made me laugh a lot, here, the hubris and audacity just made me furious. Yes, fair enough. Uh, okay. So, uh, some unfinished business from last time. I promised that I would go back in time, break my hourglass, and change my score on Peacemaker's post-credit scene in order to ensure the Superman supremacy for Black Adam. I'm doing that. I'm pulling the trigger on this. Uh... This is the way. This is the way. So, uh, while my Peacemaker scene is still, uh, spiritually a three, I had to knock it down to a one in order to put it at... in order to put it at a 2.5. Yes, correct. Uh, so I gave it a one, ultimately. Uh, I don't mean it, but I do mean it for Superman. Anything that has to be done here. Uh, so Superman is now the number one post-credit scene. Peacemaker is number two. The Justice Society and Mr. Mind part two, uh, scenes are six and seven of the post-credit scenes. I think that speaks more to the quality of the post-credit scenes of the DCEU than anything else. The Robin Award for Best Sidekick. What did Robin think? Uh, so Robin loved both, uh, Freddie Freeman and Jimon Hounsou in this. The Wizard. Um, I think in the first movie she gave it to Freddie. Obviously, he's very well done. He's very great. In this one, she gave it to The Wizard. There's so many comedic beats and just great moments with him, uh, between the Jeff situation, which I think is probably the funniest moment, and then the other one was Darla saying, heh, heh, the, I love unicorns, and his response is dead face of just like, but yet it doesn't love you. Yeah. It's just so good. Yes, yes. So, uh, that's pretty good. Um, I am very curious where we net out here on the final battle ranking, Kevin, just to establish it once again. Suicide Squad at the bottom, Wonder Woman 84, then Man of Steel, then Wonder Woman, then BVS Department of Justice, then Justice League, then Black Adam, then Zack Snyder's Justice League, Shazam OG, Birds of Prey, Aquaman, number one is the Suicide Squad. So let's see if we can't hit fast forward. This is certainly worse than everything through Zack Snyder's Justice League. That's correct. It is worse than Black Adam, I would say. Yep. It is worse than Justice League. I agree. I would say. I would say it's worse than Batman versus Superman Department of Justice. Same. I would say it's worse than the original Wonder Woman. Yep. I would say it's worse than Man of Steel. Yeah. So this is where I am too and I ultimately, so this is where I was landing. Is it better or worse than Man of Steel? And I do think, yeah, it's worse than Man of Steel. Describe the final battle of Shaz-2 for me. The final battle involved him smacking around a CGI dragon for a little bit, him flying around, and then him inside a dome flying towards a Kamehameha blast, standing inside of it and taking it until he's able to get past it. And I've seen that and it was in Dragon Ball Z and it was a lot cooler when Gohan did that. It was one of the greatest scenes in that entire 700 episode anime. It's worse than Man of Steel. For me, it's worse than Wonder Woman 84. It's worse than Wonder Woman 84 because for me, Wonder Woman 84, yes, it's the Cheetah battle, but I also qualify Wonder Woman, while Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman speaking to the world through Max Lord, like that moment is good for me. It's one of the things I really like about that movie, which I know a lot of people don't really care for. I will remember that scene. I still remember that scene. And I feel really good about that scene. There's nothing about Fury of the Gods that works for me better than that. So, now it comes down to is it better or worse than Suicide Squad proper? It is better than Suicide Squad proper. It's better than Suicide Squad proper. This isn't going to be a joke. But it's not great for Fury of the Gods to be in second to last here on the final battle ranking. So that's where it lands. And that's sad, Kevin. It is because you also have a situation where they establish Lucy Liu has this insanely powerful ability of whispering in people's ears and it did not come into play once at the end of all this. At all. At all. Well, that's Fury of the Gods rated and reviewed. So that's what we're doing here with the DCEU we're once again putting it on pause. We will unpause when we get to the Flash in a couple of weeks and between now and then we will also talk about Across the Spider-Verse. So that's the next stop for Kevin and myself.
