The devotion discusses the story of Joseph from the Bible and how his journey to greatness was marked by pain and agitation. Despite being betrayed, falsely accused, and forgotten, Joseph remained faithful to God and trusted in His plan. Eventually, Joseph became a powerful governor and was able to save his family from famine. The devotion encourages listeners to trust in God's plan, even during difficult times, and to know that struggles can lead to success. The memory verse for the day is Romans 8:28, which reminds believers that all things work together for good for those who love God. The devotion concludes with a prayer for strength and perseverance during seasons of pain and disappointment. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the Lord's name is to be praised. Shalom and welcome to Radio HCI Today. I'm Francis Appiah and I'll be taking us through our morning glory devotion for today. Let's share a word of prayer. Our Father who dwells in heaven, may your name be hallowed and praised this morning. We ask that you speak to us through your word and help us to be doers of the same. In Jesus mighty name, Amen. Let's take our confession from the book of Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I shall make my way prosperous and then I shall have good success. Amen. Beloved, our topic for today is the making of champions, pain and agitation. The making of champions, pain and agitation. Now scripture is taken from Genesis chapter 37 verse 19 to 24. I read from the King James version, As they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer comes. Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast had devoured him, and we shall see what will become of his dreams. And Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands, and said, Let us not kill him. And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him, that we might rid him of our hands to deliver him to his father again. And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stripped Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colors that was on him, and they took him, and cast him into a pit, and the pit was empty, there was no water in it. Pain and agitation. The journey to greatness is often paved with pain, agitation, rejection, disappointment, envy, and the like. Between the dream and its fulfillment is a season of agitation and pain. In the Bible, we see the story of Joseph, who experienced all these things and more on his way to becoming a champion. It is a story of pain, struggle, and ultimately redemption. Joseph's life was marked by one trial after another, and yet, through it all, he remained steadfast in his faith in God. Joseph's story begins with his father Jacob, who loved him more than any of his other sons. This favoritism led to jealousy and hatred from his brothers, who sold him into slavery and told their father that he had been killed by a wild animal. Joseph was taken to Egypt and sold to Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh. Despite his difficult circumstances, Joseph remained faithful to God and worked hard, rising to the position of head of Potiphar's household, but his trials were far from over. Potiphar's wife falsely accused Joseph of attempted rape, and he was thrown into prison. There, he interpreted the dreams of two of Pharaoh's servants, and his interpretation came true, but despite his help, he was forgotten and remained in prison for two more years. Through all these trials, Joseph must have felt pain and agitation. He had been betrayed by his own family, falsely accused and forgotten, but in the midst of his pain, he remained faithful to God and trusted in his plan for his life. Eventually, Joseph was brought before Pharaoh to interpret his dreams. He correctly interpreted the dreams as a warning of an impending famine, and Pharaoh appointed him as governor of Egypt, second only to Pharaoh himself. Joseph was able to use his position to save his family from the famine and bring them to Egypt, where they were reunited and reconciled. Through Joseph's story, we learn that pain and rejection are often part of the process of becoming a champion, but if we keep our faith in God and continue to use our gifts to serve others, we can overcome these obstacles and fulfill our destiny. We also see that Joseph's journey was not easy or straightforward, but rather filled with twists and turns that ultimately led to his greatness. We too may face disappointments and setbacks, but we can trust that God is working all things together for our good and that our struggles will ultimately lead to our success. So, if you are going through a difficult time, remember Joseph's story. Know that God is with you, even in your pain and agitation. Trust in his plan and know that he is working all things together for good. And like Joseph, may we emerge from our trials stronger and more faithful than ever before, knowing that we are being shaped into champions through our struggles. Amen. Beloved, our memory verse for today is taken from Romans chapter 8 verse 28. KJV. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Amen. Beloved, let's share a word of prayer. Father, we thank you this morning for your word. Oh God of all grace, we pray that you give us grace to endure and persevere through our seasons of pain, agitation, disappointment, and rejections. We ask, oh Lord, in the name of Jesus, that you refine us through these seasons of our lives and make us the people you've called us to be. Father, we thank you that you will not leave us nor forsake us in our trying moments. In Jesus' mighty name we have prayed. Amen. Beloved, thank you for listening to today's devotion. The next and last part of the making of champions will be airing at the same time tomorrow. Make a date with us and you will be blessed. Have a blessed day, dear ones. Shalom.
