The shelter has a heated boot room for clients. Inside, there is a reception desk and a security room to create a safe environment. There is a large room with mats for clients to sleep on, divided by gender. There are large washrooms for multiple clients, as well as individual bathrooms. There is also a private area for certain clients. The first site our clients are introduced to when they come in the shelter is our internal heated boot room, capable of protecting clients from the elements for all those who may need the help. As they enter the main portion of the facility, they see a large reception desk with multiple windows to contact staff, as well as the main security room to leave the feeling of a safe and calm environment. They can enter the so-called mat room, which is a large magnesium-style room containing mats for all the clients to sleep on, with different sections for men, women, and couples. The facility contains large gang-style washrooms for the large client base, as well as the individual bathrooms that any staff acknowledgement for clients can gain access to them. The shelter also includes a private mat section for those clients who cannot be seated within the general population.
