Blumhouse's movie adaptation of the video game Five Nights at Freddy's is a huge success, with an $80 million domestic opening gross. It is now the third best start to a horror film ever, following It and It Chapter Two. Despite some changes from the game, the movie is well-received, and fans are excited to see how the storyline develops in the next two movies. The cast, including Josh Hutcherson, Matthew Lillard, and Elizabeth Lail, is praised, and Scott Cawthorne's decision to make differences between the games and the movie is appreciated. Hello, everyone, and welcome to Eddie's World. My name is Hannah Eddie, and I'm excited to get started with hopefully the first of many horror movie reviews. And without any further ado, I'm sure many of you, like myself, have seen Blumhouse's most recent addition to the video game-to-movie adaptations list. Five Nights at Freddy's is already making huge waves at theaters across the world and has wasted no time in setting records. Its domestic opening gross reached $80 million, and it very quickly became Blumhouse's best opening to date. Not only that, but Five Nights at Freddy's is now ranked as the third best start to a horror film ever, third only to It and It Chapter Two, which happen to be two personal favorites of mine. As a casual fan of the games myself, I was super excited to see the movie, and like many others, I was pretty happy with how it came out. With any movie adapted from a different format of source material, there's going to be some type of change during the translation, and personally, I'm not upset by the differences, and I'm really just excited to see how the storyline develops with the next two movies. I think Josh Hutcherson, Matthew Lillard, and Elizabeth Lail are all fantastic in the movie, and I think Scott Cawthorne knew what he was doing with all of the differences between the games and the movie. And with that, we've reached the end of the first episode of Eddie's World. I hope you enjoyed hanging out with me, because I definitely enjoyed hanging out with my microphone, and until next time, see ya!
