Nike creates protective footwear, accessories and equipment. They also services normally sport for sport and fitness activities. Question 2. Describe the kind of material, tools and process that the designer uses. Nike shoes, equipment and accessories. They use organic cotton, a material of leather, rubber and recycled polyester. Question 3. Discuss the characteristics and properties of the material that the designer uses. Refer to the advantages and disadvantages of using this material. The characteristics of the Nike material makes it strong, fit and energetic. Perfect for running and working out. One of the advantages of the material is that it reduces the carbon footprint by an average of 75%. One of the disadvantages is that the leather that Nike uses to create products uses a chemical to preserve leather. Question 4. Explain how the designer is impacting society with their ethical approach to the environment. What did you like about them and what didn't you like? Justify your answer. I liked the Nike Air Force 1 laces. They looked pretty and had charms on the laces but the back of the shoe would be a bit hard to walk. Number 2. I liked the Air Force 1 greens. They used a pretty pattern and colour to it but the materials to make it are going to hurt your ankles by blisters if you don't wear socks. Number 3. I liked the Air Force 1 shades but the colour is a bit plain. The pattern on the shoes were nice.
