In the Kingdom of Three Peaks, Brido, a commander, receives news that their army has fallen to the Kingdom of Lancers. He worries about the injured magician king, Phaethon, and suspects that the child king of Lancers, Alejandro, may have killed him. Grimvar, another magician, arrives with encouraging news that Phaethon is alive but injured. He also asks about the metal cylinder that was delivered to Phaethon. Brido explains that a soldier gave it to him after finding it by the river. They bring the soldier, who reveals that a farmer named Phanser from the lands of Loth gave him the cylinder. Brido and the soldier go to find Phanser, but discover he is really a merchant living in the city of Costa Sul between the kingdoms of Lancers and Three Peaks. Disappointed, they continue their search for Phanser in Costa Sul to bring him to Zayt. Nuestra historia comienza en el Reino de Tres Picos, donde Brido, un comandante de las tropas del reino, recibe la noticia de que el ejercito ha caído frente al Reino de Lánceres, y luego de preguntarle a un guerrero sobreviviente se preocupa del estado de Phaethon, un mago rey, pensando que Alejandro, un niño rey de Lánceres, pudo haberlo asesinado. En eso aparece Grimvar, un mago, con noticias alentadoras asegurando que si bien Phaethon se encuentra herido, espera que sobreviva. Además, les avisa que trae órdenes para él, pues debería alistar a sus hombres para una batalla próxima, aunque Brido solo le contesta con tono sarcástico. Sin embargo, el mago le pregunta también por el remitente que le entregó el cilindro de metal, aquel que luego llegó a manos de Phaethon. Brido asegura que uno de sus soldados se lo había dado luego de que un hombre lo encontrara a orillas del río. De este modo, Grimvar manda a que traigan al soldado, quien más bien es un rastreador. Luego de 20 minutos, el hombre entra a la sala donde se encontraban y les comenta que quien le dio el cilindro fue un granjero que vive en las tierras de Loth, llamado Phanser. Al saber esta información, Brido y el rastreador van en busca del hombre que andó ahí, un mago a cargo del reino. Apenas llegaron al lugar, se dirigieron a la primera casa y tocaron la puerta amigablemente. Un anciano los recibió y preguntó en qué les pudo ayudar. Conoce a Phanser, el granjero, exclamaron los dos hombres, pero el anciano además de decirles que en realidad se trataba de un comerciante, les aclaró que vivía en una ciudad llamada Costa Sul, que quedaba ubicada entre los reinos de lanceres y tres picos. Desilusionados, no les quedó más que seguir con su búsqueda ahora dirigidos a Costa Sul para hallar a Phanser y llevárselo a Zayt.
