Our campaign has achieved several successes, including stopping the sale of plastic bags in Ireland in 2003 and banning them in China during the 2008 Olympic Games. We also ended the use of plastic bags in Australia's Northern Territory in 2010, and proposed a ban on plastic bags in England which will begin in October 2015.
