You can call these two jam sessions 'drone sessions' because they pick up a beat and just riff off of it in a jagged-edged psychedelic style as only the V.U. could. This is what they were like pre-first L.P., playing for "happenings" mainly in Greenwich Village, to a crowd that was high out of their minds.
