She was a reader, teacher, mother, journalist, and now a bookseller, all revolving around storytelling. The Great Ocean Reads podcast aims to share stories from writers, readers, and everyone in between, believing that everyone has a story to tell. Hello everybody. I'm Karen O'Sullivan and I'm the owner of the Great Ocean Reads bookstore, a cozy independent bookstore in the coastal town of Apollo Bay situated on Victoria and Australia's rugged southwest coast. For me storytelling is like a golden thread that weaves its way through our veins. As a young girl I was a reader. As a teacher and mother I helped young people learn to read and develop a love of books. As a journalist I report on so many amazing stories. As the owner of a small PR company and now as a bookseller storytelling has truly been one of my greatest loves. So here we are on the Great Ocean Reads podcast where we'll share more stories from writers, readers and everything in between which pretty much casts a net over anybody and everybody. I've always been a firm believer that everybody has a story to tell and I can't wait to share yours.
