Last Saturday, my family and I went on a day trip to the seaside. We woke up early in the morning and packed our bags with towels, swimsuits, and snacks. We were all very excited. The sun was shining and the sky was blue. It was a perfect day for the beach. We drove to the seaside in our car. The drive took about two hours. My brother and I played games to pass the time. We counted how many blue cars we saw and sang some of our favorite songs. Finally, we saw the sea. It was beautiful. When we arrived, we found a nice spot on the beach. We spread out our big blanket and put up a sunshade. We changed into our swimsuits and ran to the water. The sea was cold. My brother and I splashed each other and played. We laughed a lot and had so much fun. After swimming, we built a big sandcastle. We used our buckets and spades. We decorated the castle with shells and seaweed. It looked amazing. Mom took a picture of us with our sandcastle. We got hungry after playing, so we sat down to have our picnic. Mom and Dad made sandwiches and we had fruit and biscuits, too. We drank cold lemonade and enjoyed our snacks. It was so nice to sit on the beach and eat together. In the afternoon, we went for a walk along the beach. We looked for shells and interesting stones. My brother found a crab hiding under a rock. We watched it for a while before it ran away. We also saw some small fish swimming near the shore. We got ice cream from a nearby shop. I had chocolate, my favorite flavor, and my brother had strawberry. We sat on a bench and enjoyed our ice creams while watching the sea. The ice cream was cold and very tasty. Later, we played a game of football. Mom and Dad joined us. We had a great time, even though the ball kept going into the sea. We all laughed. As the sun set, we knew it was time to go home. We packed our things and took one last look at the sea. The sky was orange and pink, and it was lovely. On the drive home, we talked about our favorite parts of the day.
