They provide a safe haven for used and abandoned exotic animals, such as lions, tigers, and bears. The illegal exotic pet trade in the U.S. is estimated to be over $15 billion. Bobbie's passion for helping these animals led her to testify before Congress and have a major impact on regulations. They currently have about 60 rescued animals at their sanctuary and also assist other organizations worldwide. Bobbie has captivating stories to share. Three, two, one. Sometimes a name is everything. So take this one. Lions, Tigers, and Bears. Now, did you say to yourself, oh my? In this week's episode, Bobbie Brink, she's the director and founder of Lions, Tigers, and Bears Rescue and Sanctuary. She joins me and guess what? Their name is everything. They rescue Lions, Tigers, and Bears and it's a safe haven for used and abandoned exotic animals. Now, you can find them in retirement safe and healthy at their sanctuary. In the U.S., the illegal exotic pet trade is estimated to be over $15 billion. You heard me right. Over $15 billion just here in the U.S. Now, here's Bobbie's story. In the early 2000s, Bobbie found her calling in helping these animals. She's been instrumental in changing the way people think. She's testified before Congress to get laws passed, and she's had major input on important regulations with these mistreated animals. Now, can you imagine being a lion and someone puts you in a, and chains you in this 15-foot cage and keeps you there? Did you watch The Tiger King? Bobbie had a deal with the flamboyant Joe Exotic, and when you hear her stories about him, you can probably imagine they're pretty heavy. Now, at the sanctuary, they have about 60 animals that they've rescued in their forever home. But that's not all. Not only does the organization save animals, they help other organizations all over the world in providing safe and healthy environments. Bobbie has stories to tell us. And wait until you hear her stories.
