This is my attempt to write an Erhu Quartet as it is rare to find an Erhu Quartet. Erhu is not as versatile as the violins, but it can produce different types of timbre, by using Western harmony and odd time signatures rather than the usual pentatonic scales and common time signatures, it produces more challenging and interesting patterns, harmony, chords, etc. However, while experimenting with harmonies, this piece does not lose the essence of Chinese music and its elements. Enjoy!
