The speaker, Christy Maudsley, combines principles of hypnosis, somatic awareness, and research from the HeartMath Institute to create a practice of heart-brain coherence. She guides listeners to relax and imagine a warm, golden light moving through their bodies, bringing relaxation and stress relief. They are then instructed to focus on their heart center, breathing in and out through the heart, and recalling a moment of gratitude, love, or joy. This feeling is intensified through continued heart-focused breathing. The practice ends with setting an intention for the day and bringing awareness back to the present moment. Welcome. Thanks for joining me today. I'm Christy Maudsley. I'm a licensed acupuncturist, rapid transformational therapy practitioner, and somatic coach. Today we're going to embark on a journey that combines the principles of hypnosis, somatic awareness, and the incredible research out of the HeartMath Institute to create a state of heart-brain coherence. This practice is going to help you connect really deeply with your body and your mind and set you up for a beautiful, harmonious day. So first, just find a comfortable position. You can be sitting or lying down. Just let yourself get into a really relaxed body posture. Gently close your eyes and begin to bring your awareness inside. Take a deep breath in. Feeling the air fill your lungs and then slowly exhale, releasing any tension or stress. Now just allow your breath to find its natural rhythm. And now imagine a warm, golden light at the top of your head. With each breath, see this light slowly moving down through your body, gently relaxing every part of your body it touches. So feel it moving down to your forehead, releasing any tension there, around your temples. Let it flow down to your eyes, your cheeks, your jaw, softening and relaxing. Continue to follow this golden light as it moves down your neck, shoulders and arms, all the way to your fingertips. And now just continue to feel the warmth and relaxation spreading through your chest, your back, your abdomen, down to your hips, your thighs, your pelvis, your knees, your calves, and finally to your feet. Your entire body is now enveloped in this warm, protective, healing golden light. Deeply relaxed and at ease. And now I invite you to bring your attention to your heart center, the space in the middle of your chest. Imagine a soft, radiant light glowing from within your heart. With each breath, see this light growing brighter, expanding outward. Feel the warmth and love emanating from all directions from your heart, filling your entire being and even expanding out side of your body. And now gently place your hand over your heart and feel the connection between your hand and your heart. Begin to breathe in and out through your heart, imagining that each breath is actually flowing directly in and out of the heart center. So you will inhale deeply and imagine that the breath is actually coming in through the center of your heart. And exhale slowly, releasing the breath through the center of the heart. This is heart focused breathing, and it has incredible effects on your entire system. Continue breathing in through your heart and out through your heart. Beautiful. And as you continue this heart focused breathing, I want you to think of a moment when you felt deep gratitude, love or joy. This can be a moment that has happened in your life. It can be a moment in your imagination. It can actually be a person who you feel deeply grateful for. It can be a pet or an animal that you just love. It can be a place in nature. It can really be anything, but just bring that into your awareness, that person or that place or that animal. And as you bring this thing into your awareness, I want you to start feeling the gratitude or the love or the joy that you have associated with this place or person or place or person or memory. And allow this feeling of gratitude and joy to grow within your heart. And actually your whole being amplifying with every breath. So continue the heart focused breathing, your breath going in through the heart and out through the heart. And then expand this feeling of gratitude, of joy. Good and just continue. Continue the breathing. Let yourself sink even deeper into that experience of gratitude, of love, of joy. Beautiful. Beautiful. Now let's actually expand that sensation of love, gratitude or joy even more. I invite you to amplify this feeling by even 10% as you continue to breathe in and out of your heart. And now just one more time, if it feels possible, let this feeling of love and gratitude intensify even more. Beautiful. Now I just want you to thank this person or this place or this pet, whatever this, this being or place is, please just thank them in your mind, in your heart, in your heart. And now let all that love and gratitude be drawn back into the center of your heart. And continue the heart focused breathing for a few more cycles. So in through the heart and out through the heart. Beautiful. And now take a moment to feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. Feel the colors of your breath. And now take a moment to feel the complete harmony between your heart and your mind that you have created. This is a state of heart-brain coherence. It's a beautiful balance between your heart's rhythm and your brain waves. Feel that alignment, the sense of peace and the connectedness. As you prepare to end this meditation, I invite you to set an intention for your day. And envision yourself moving through your day with ease, grace, and joy. Regularly returning to this state of heart-brain coherence. Know that you can return to this practice any time you need to reconnect and realign. Take a deep breath in, feeling the energy and radiance of your heart and mind. And slowly exhale, bringing your awareness back to the present moment. When you feel ready, gently open your eyes and let your eye gaze just softly float around the space you're in with a very gentle gaze and carry this sense of coherence and well-being with you. Thank you for joining me in this meditation. Thank you for joining me in this meditation. May your day be filled with beauty, harmony, and joy.
