The speaker presents their mentor, their mother, in a presentation. They discuss their mother's achievements, including graduating high school and acquiring cosmetology skills. They also highlight how their mother has served others, such as helping people feel better about their appearance and raising them and their sister with little assistance. The speaker mentions the wisdom and advice their mother has given them, including being mindful in stressful situations, the value of money, and the importance of work ethic and professionalism. They conclude by expressing gratitude for the knowledge their mother has imparted and providing sources for the presentation. Here is my mentor presentation, created by me. Moving on to the next slide. Introduction. What is a mentor? A mentor to me is somebody that you can look up to, somebody that has a great amount of advice to give, a lot of wisdom and knowledge. Who is my mentor for this assignment? It shows my mother. Moving on to the next slide. This image was on the last slide, but I found it on the Internet and thought it represented mentoring pretty well. The source is listed down in the Works Cited page. Moving on. Professional and academic achievements of my mom. First, she graduated high school, which is a really big achievement. Second, she attended beauty school and got her cosmetology license. She's really good at hair. I just love being able to say that. Number three, she learned accounting skills from my grandma. She learned on QuickBooks. Down below are three images of pictures that represented the things she has done very well. Next page. What my mother has done to serve others. As a hairdresser, she helped many people feel better about their appearance. Number two, she raised my sister and I with very little help from others. Like finding childcare, to paying the bills, and making sure we had groceries and food to eat. Number three, my mom is a very strong, dedicated worker who works two jobs. And down below I put more pictures that represented these three topics. Next slide. Wisdom and advice given by my mentor, or my mother. My mom has taught me to be mindful through stressful situations. Especially because I have severe anxiety. Doing yoga helps a lot. Breath work, stuff like that. Number two, she taught me the value of a dollar. Knowing how to budget and save money is very important. Just in case of an emergency, you never know. Number three, she has also given me wisdom about work ethic and what it takes to be a great employee. She taught me about professionalism. Why it's important to be on time to work. Why it's important to be a good team player, or work better in a team environment. And next slide. Conclusion. She's a great mentor due to all the experiences she's gone through. Without them, she probably wouldn't have been a great mentor today. She has given me a tremendous amount of knowledge that I could put to use every day in my everyday life. And next slides are my work cited slides that include all of the sources for the images that I've listed. And my personal interview with her. Thank you for looking at my presentation.
