Despite controversies, the VFW remains committed to serving veterans with integrity. It is officially recognized by the US Congress and plays a vital role in supporting and advocating for veterans. For my paper, I decided to research the Veterans of Foreign Wars, or VFW. I decided to dive into the heart of this organization, its mission, services, and its impact upon the lives of veterans. The VFW was established in 1899 and stands as a beacon of support for veterans for overseas conflicts. Its mission is to foster friendship among veterans and advocate for their rights. It is rooted in experience of veterans from various wars and conflicts. The VFW was born out of a need for support and camaraderie. The VFW can offer many services to veterans.
