D.R. Vargas and the SEED Fund are working to challenge stereotypes and reduce stigma around mental health for people of color. As well, organizations like the SEED Fund is committed to the mental health of students of color, connecting individuals with culturally competent mental health professionals, exemplifying the systematic change necessary to address the mental health challenges. These changemakers are not only advocates, but also foster an understanding and empathy, who increase accessibility to mental health care for minority communities.
