Farben der Kathedralen (Colors of the Cathedrals), Op. 1

The blue and green moonlight filtered through the stained glass of the cathedral. The chthonian musings and distant marches under the watch of a blood moon. The golden light of the sun on the dark wood of the organ. "Farben der Kathedralen," or "Colors of the Cathedrals," inspired by choirs, cathedrals, medieval modes and tunes, takes the atmospheres and echoes of the great cathedrals and paints them into a tapestry of many colors. This work is dedicated to Katie Gilchrist.
