Before delving into my first appendix, I feel it is crucial to state that the overall theory I will be referring to is Stuart Hall's theory of misrepresentation. Stuart Hall states that representation means using language to say something meaningful about or to represent the world meaningfully to other people. However, representation is an essential part of the process by which meaning is produced and exchanged between members of a culture.
