Hello, my name is Ella and I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself and share a bit about why I have chosen to study social work. I have always been deeply passionate about understanding and addressing the various challenges that individuals and communities face. Growing up, I witnessed first hand the impact of social differences, injustices and struggles that many people suffer. The distinctive desire to make a positive difference in their lives of other had led me to persuade a degree in social work. I believe that social work offers a unique opportunity to not only advocate for marginalised populations, but also to empower individuals to overcome obstacles and threats. Whether it's providing support for those experiencing mental health issues, advocating for children in the foster care system, or working with families facing economic needs, social work allows me to actively contribute to creating a more equitable and compassionate society. Through my studies, I am to develop true knowledge, skills and empathy necessary to effectively serve diverse populations and address complex issues. I'm excited about the opportunity to engage in my meaningful work that has the potential to positively impact the lives of others and contribute to positive social change.
