Many people have difficulty blinking due to various reasons such as working long hours without breaks, medical conditions, and environmental factors. This can lead to dry eyes and discomfort. I love what I do. To keep up with all the challenges, I have to work 8 to 10 hours a day. Oh my. I had a blind spot there. I was so into work, I forgot to blink. My eyes got so dry, I could cry. Turns out that I'm not alone. So many people have problems blinking. People under anesthesia don't blink. Neurological diseases hinder patients' ability to blink. Facial paralysis impedes the ability to blink. And many more just work in a dehydrated, air-conditioned environment in front of a screen. Their cognition and need to focus stop them from blinking.
