The University of Asia and the Pacific offers a junior college program for grade 11 students. Benefits include weekly question-solving, easier friendships, less pressure to fit in, and stronger relationships. Students have more time to explore interests and can join varsity teams. Teachers understand students' development and guide them towards college success. 1-6YP students are separated into blocks, while 2-6YP students are distinguished by their courses. Students can shift courses if they're unhappy. The program allows students to adapt to the teaching style and methods of the university. The main benefit is that students don't have to take another difficult test when transitioning to college. Enroll in the program for a fulfilling school life. Nice to meet you. How have you been? Parents, are you struggling to find the right school for your picky teenager who is almost out of options? We'll go further and stay with us for the next five minutes to see why you should choose the junior college program here in the University of Asia and the Pacific. Hello, my name is Ayla Fuentes and with me here today is a special guest of our very own JC program, Jason Lee. We invited him to our special talk to really delve deeper into the benefits provided by UANP for those entering grade 11. So, Mr. Lee, since you've experienced first-hand entering UANP as an 11th grader, what would you say are some of the pros presented in this unique six-year program? First of all, I would like to mention how I was able to solve a question on a weekly basis. Additionally, I think it's overall easier to make more friends at a younger age. Ah, I see. Is it safe for me to assume that forming friend groups before college is easier rather than doing so during the first year of college? Yes, there appears to be less pressure to fit in for assigned tasks. If a group of friends during grade 11 or 12 is in the experience, it will be a bit more relaxing and open to forming connections without having to deal with the stress of adjusting to a new academic and social environment. That sounds like a real game-changer. It also seems like friendships made before college will have had so many years to develop and really solidify. Maybe that's why those who enter UANP Junior College seem to have such strong relationships with their friends. I would like to mention how I was able to solve a question on a weekly basis. I think it's overall easier to make more friends at a younger age. That sounds wonderful. Now, can you tell me the differences between a 2-6YP and a 1-6YP student? Of course. For a 3rd-year junior college program, I was much more at ease during my time as a 1-6YP student because I had so much time on my hands. I decided to join organizations and leave a tryout for a varsity team. That's right! Teenagers are supplied with ample time to explore which boards they enjoy as well as which varsity teams they would like to commit themselves to. May I ask, Mr. Lee, which varsity team did you sign up for? There were many to choose from. I ended up choosing varsity. What a lovely choice! At least you can enjoy the sports before you get totally bombarded with college work. That reminds me, how are teachers like at junior college? Most of the teachers under the junior college program understand that their students are still developing feelings with my grades and I depend on teachers to turn me on how to show the right attitude to my futures in college. Going back to my previous question, are there any other differences between a 2-6YP and a 1-6YP student? Oh yes. I almost forgot. 1-6YP students are separated separately into blocks while 2-6YP students are distinguished by their courses. Speaking of courses, are JC students allowed to shift to another course if they are unhappy with their current choice? Yes. This leads me to another positive aspect of the JC program gives students more time to choose which courses they want to take and they are supplied with more time to choose. Another major benefit is JC students can adapt to the teaching style and methods here at UAM. Let me guess, you're talking about Canvas? Precisely. When a JC student enters their first year of college, they are already familiar with how Canvas works and how UAM was managed at the time. Meanwhile, if you enter straight into the first year of college, you may end up neglecting the June date of your research paper and before you know it, submission fails. However, out of all these, what would you say is the number one benefit of entering UAMP during junior college? I would have to say that it is a very interesting subject to be able to enter a junior year program only after you have taken one of the various exams to enter UAMP. That's right. When they transition into their first year of college, they do not have to take another test that surely would have been much more difficult. Now that you are aware of the benefits that the junior college program provides here at UAMP, what are you waiting for? Parents, enroll your teenagers in the six-year program in order for them to live their school life to the fullest. Do you want to be a straight-A student? Click the link to our next video of Dragons On Air to learn how to quit procrastinating your schoolwork. Again, my name is Ayla Fontes and I'd like to thank you all for tuning in. Until next time.
