The audio file titled "Experience Inside a Washing Machine--Time-lapse of a Complete Wash Cycle" begins with the sound of a washing machine door closing, followed by a few moments of silence. Then, the machine starts to fill with water, a sound that is similar to a torrential downpour or a waterfall. After the washing machine is full, the wash cycle begins. You can hear the rhythmic sloshing of the water as the drum starts to spin, creating a repetitive, almost hypnotic, sound. The hum of the motor is a constant undertone throughout the cycle. As the wash cycle progresses, the agitation increases. The water and clothes create a cacophony of noises, ranging from soft swooshing to harsher splashing sounds. There are occasional clinking sounds as zippers or buttons hit against the inside of the drum. Then, the rinsing process begins. The water drains out, creating a gurgling sound that gradually fades away.
