Christmas is a joyful time with children opening gifts and snow covering the ground. People prepare for Christmas night mass, regardless of their religious beliefs. Time seems to stop at midnight, and the story shifts to an ordinary man named Jamie. He questions his role as a hero and just wants to go home. However, his situation becomes more nightmarish in the overseer's mansion. Christmas. A time of happiness. A joyous occasion. Children opening their gifts. Parents observing their smiles. The snow covers the ground. Snowmen standing newly created. Each and every home spending its final week of the year hovered with decorations. As the night falls, people ready themselves for the yearly traditional Christmas night mass. Both the religious and the atheist join together. One giving thanks to God, the other to the leaders of this good city. Time never stands still, always flowing, moving constantly from one second to the next. That is until one night, time would stop for these people forever. Midnight strikes. The bells ring and the reverend ends his sermon. The story begins before the heroes travel to our land. An ordinary man who likes video games, having a drink with his friends, living a life he thought he wanted. A man who was almost involved in a fatal event. It was that event that sowed the seeds of legend, and as they grew, his fate came ever closer. As Jamie tried to sleep, all thoughts of the conversation he just had, preventing him from doing so. How could he be a hero? How could he stop all that is wrong? He just wants to go home, back to his life, back to normality. It seemed as though this was becoming less of a dream and more of a nightmare. His hope of leaving this place becoming ever more loose in his grasp. Things are about to get worse for him in the overseer's mansion.
