The Finding Emet radio program focuses on understanding and living the truth of the Bible from a Hebrew perspective. It features the teaching ministry of Brother Daniel Rendleman of Emet Ministries. The program provides audio lessons, teaching articles, and a free online Bible search program on their website. They discuss the Hebrew living letters and the symbolism behind various flags, including the Star of David. The Star of David is not a pagan symbol, but has been adapted and used by pagans. It represents the kingdom of Yahweh and is a symbol of healing and unity in Israel. The Star of David was also a seal used by King David as his signature. So we begin this teaching on the Hebrew living letters, the fourth in the series. We begin with the aleph, the bet, and the gimel, and now it's time for what? The dalet, the dalet, the fourth letter in the Hebrew, alephbet. You know, we look around and all throughout the world, everywhere we look, there are emblems, there are signs, there are logos that communicate a message. You cannot look anywhere these days without being advertised to about something. There's of course ones that we are familiar with. There's internet logos, sports teams, there's flags that have different meanings and backgrounds and origins, and a story is told behind every symbol, behind every banner. You know, why is it this way? Why does a stop sign have, you know, why is it an octagon? There's a story, there's a reason why. Somebody somewhere knows the answer. One of those people, you know, that looks up boring things and knows all that info so they can win on Jeopardy. But when we look around, it's there, right? Trademarks. Trademarks are granted to secure a design as a representation of a brand. Think about Coca-Cola. Considered to be the most recognized brand in the world. Coca-Cola is considered to be the most recognized brand in the world. Now, you hear this and you think, well, you know, if I had a business and my brand was that recognized, I wouldn't advertise at all because everybody knows about Coca-Cola. But did you know that Coca-Cola is one of the companies that spends more money on advertising? It's in the top five advertisers in the world for dollar spend in advertising. Everybody knows their logo and they want everybody to know their logo. So we see these registered trademarks are so battered out there. Some symbols tell us the history of a story, of a mark, of a purpose. Take, for example, the United Nations flag. It's a blue flag with a wreath around a map of the world, of a sonar map of the world. And I might just look at that and say, oh, that's pretty. But if you look at the history, that's actually the symbol of Julius Caesar, Caesar's world, a picture of the United Nations, of Rome encircling, controlling the world, Caesar. And we have, of course, proof of that with the Constantine religions that are out there Gregorian calendar, even the month of July was named after Julius Caesar, the month of August, Augustus Caesar. The C-section procedure, the Caesarean section named after Julius Caesar, but it's told to us today that he was the first person to have that, he was born that way. His mother was the first person to have a C-section. And that's how we got that procedure's name. What about the flag of America or even the flag of Iran? The flag of Iran is green on top, white in the middle, red on the bottom. There's a red symbol of a tulip in the middle of the flag of Iran. Why a tulip? Because in Islam it's believed that a tulip grows on the grave of a martyr. And indeed this tulip that is there is made up of the letters that spell their false god, A-L-L-A-H. In the midst of their flag, they're not ashamed, it's there. And then, just a few years ago, it was changed, the flag of Iran was changed. You have wording put on the top where the white and the green meets and where the red and the white meets. That says, Allah-u-Makbar, their false god is great, flying on their flag. Some Iranian flags have a yellow picture of a lion-style animal showing their conquering power. It's telling, isn't it? I mean, it tells us a story, these flags that we see. And we as Bible believers, it's the truth that we have a symbol, we have a flag, you could say. We have a picture, a brand, a banner, a trademark that has been passed down from generation to generation. And let me tell you, it's not the cross, okay? It's not the cross, not even the menorah. It's not the Hanukkiah, it's not the Kwanzakiah, okay? But it's the logo of historical and prophetic proof of the kingdom of Yahweh, that Yahweh is restoring His kingdom. And this is a symbol that we're going to look at today that Yahweh is going to use during the restoration of the kingdom of heaven. This, of course, is called the Star of David. Or in Hebrew, Mogen David. Mogen David. You know, we live in America, we have the American Red Cross. It's a pretty good organization, from what I know. But there is no American Red Cross in Israel. Who goes out and helps? It is the Blue Mogen David. Same organization, but in Israel, they're named the Blue Mogen David. I guess the Jews didn't want a Red Cross chasing them when they were hurt. So the Blue Mogen David, this blue group of the Star of David, goes and supports them and helps them. It's a picture of healing. It's a picture of unity in the nation. Now we know, and history proves, that this is not a pagan symbol. The Star of David, no matter what other people have said and what the internet teaches on this page or that page, it is not a pagan symbol. The pagans and the Wiccans have taken it and used it as a counterfeit. How many know, for everything Yahweh has that's holy and righteous, Yahweh has this, and Hasatan, the enemy, has a counterfeit. Amen? It's the emet. It's the truth. Don't tell me it's not, because then you have to throw away everything. Did you know the Hebrew aliph-bet can be found on some tarot cards? Does that mean the aliph-bet is evil? No, that means that the enemy knows there's power there, and the enemy is trying to take that power and make a shame of it. The Mogen David are the shield of David. The Star of David is not pagan. It's been adapted and used by them. In fact, the Wiccan flag, look it up in Google, the flag of Wicca is a star similar to the Star of David, usually on a black flag, it's in white. History records that armies would take their shield, or an emblem of the king, or even the name of the king, and they would put it on a shield, or they would put it on a flag, or a banner, and as they would go out to battle, they would fly that flag. Many flags have evolved over the years and over the centuries. It used to be that if this ruler was in charge, there was a different flag for that nation. This dynasty had its own flag. Even in Iran's history, as I've studied for this, I've noticed they've had about 13 flags. Even America has gone through many different styles and versions, each meaning something different. But history records that the Israeli armies were led by this warrior king whose shield had the symbol on it, a symbol of his name. Now, in early Hebrew, the name of David was spelled Dalet-Bab-Dalet, just like it is today. But Hebrew has gone through changes, just like any other language, that before, when it was originally written, when Moshe came down the mountain with the Hebrew aleph-bet and letters on the ten words, that it was written in more of a pictograph or symbol style. Now, as part of our series on the Hebrew living letters, we're going to do a whole teaching on Paleo-Hebrew and the power of Paleo-Hebrew. However, just so you know the difference today, how many of you are familiar with different fonts on a computer? You can write the word Joni. You can type it in your computer, Joni, J-O-N-I-E. And you can change the font and make it look cursive. You can change the font and make it look big and bold. You can make it look skinny. You can do all types of crazy things with fonts, but it says the same thing. It conveys the same message. Well, with the Hebrew and with the Paleo-Hebrew and what we have today, it's the same message. It's in a different font. Does that make sense? We haven't lost anything here. And in the time of David, his name was written Dalet-Vav-Dalet, which was written like a triangle. The Vav looks like a field goal sign. So it's triangle, field goal, triangle. And this was David's symbol. Well, how many know that a king would have a ring many times of their seal? And they would take that ring and maybe warm it up, and they would put it in some warm wax or so, and they would seal their letters with this seal. Well, David's name was his seal. Do you hear me? And for the people, their seal was the name of their king. Their seal, their mark, their banner, their emblem, their trademark was the name of their king, and their king was King Dawid. This was his signature. What's interesting here is that the Dalet was a picture of a triangle. The Vav, like a field goal, is the number six, like man. The number of man. And the Dalet was a picture of a triangle, kind of like you had a tent, like a teepee tent, and the door of the tent was this Dalet. His name and his shield. The name of the king was used as a seal. Much like we have a presidential seal today. How many know Barack Obama made his own Obama seal? He made his own seal even before he became president. He flies in the Obama 1, not Air Force 1, but Obama 1. Sure does. That a seal or this shield was a mark of authority. That the second king of Israel named David was who? Who was David the son of? The son of Jesse. Was the son of Jesse. And his seal represented his name. Now we also know that David was a man after Yahweh's own heart. He wasn't perfect. He wasn't perfect. But he was a man after Yahweh's own heart. Now get this. David's seal, David's star, David's name was Yahweh's star. Yahweh's seal. Yahweh's name. And when he conquered a land, he was taking the name of Yahweh. He was taking the shield of David, the symbol of David, to foreign lands. And teaching them, maybe by sword and by force, the power of Yahweh. Now we know in the end of days, there's going to be the mark. The mark of the beast. We also know that Yahweh has his own mark. His own sign. His own symbol for believers. It is his name. And it is his Shabbat. Those are some of his marks that he has given us. Isn't it interesting? That the end times beast will put his mark on the forehead and on the hand. And that Yahweh says, you ought to love Yahweh with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. And write these words upon your forehead. May they be frontlets between your eyes and on your hand. Isn't it interesting that when David killed Goliath, when he took that seal, when he took that shield to conquer the pagan Goliath and the Philistines, what did he do to him? He cut off his head. He cut off the power of that mark of the beast. And he said, Yahweh reigns. You might think you've got power. You might be bigger than me. You might be better than me. You come at me with swords and sticks. You come at me with a shield. But I come at you with the name of what? Yahweh, Elohim of Israel. And then he cut off his head. It's powerful. We've got to have that name written upon us. And we've got to understand that the Messiah will be seated upon the throne of David. When David was here, and David's lineage was here, he was king. And we know that Yeshua was prophesied to sit upon the what? Upon the throne of David. And we know that Yahweh is rebuilding the house of David. In the book of Moshe Lechim, in the book of Acts, chapter 15, verse 16, it says, After this I will return. I will rebuild again the house, the temple of David, which is fallen down, the kingdom of David. I will again rebuild its ruins, and I will set it up once more, that the remnant of men might seek after the master Yahweh, and the nations upon whom my name is called. The house of Yahweh and the house of David is being re-established. Yahweh is doing this in our midst. In the book of Luke, Luke chapter 1, verse 32, it says, Yeshua, let's look at verse 31, And see, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and you shall call him Yod-Heh-Vav-Shin-Ayin. Yeshua. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High, the Master Yahweh. And Eloah shall give to him the throne of his father David. That Yeshua came to take up the throne of David. Rulership and ownership over the house of Israel. And that the star, get this, This Mogen David, the star of David, the shield of David, is actually going to be used in the end of days to draw the nations. Like you use a magnet. My kids love magnets. They absolutely love magnets. Get to play with them and move things around. We're always going to use the star of David like a magnet. Or better yet, like a dinner bell. To kind of ring, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. Come and get it. You know? I didn't say soo-wee. I didn't say that. I'd be calling the pigs. I did not say that. He's going to use that star of David like a magnet to draw the nations. Turn with me to the book of Yeshayahu. The book of Yeshayahu, or in English, Isaiah. My son Isaiah is having a problem with names. He knows everybody's names but his own. His nickname is Biggie Man because he was a pretty biggie man. And now we say to him, what's your name? He says, Biggie. No, what's your name? Biggie. What's your name? He says, Biggie. We say, no, it's Isaiah. It's Isaiah. So you say, what's your name? He says, I Biggie. I Biggie. I Biggie. Yeshayahu, chapter 11, verses 10 through 12, not I Biggie, but Isaiah, shows us what's going to happen with this Mogen David and Yeshua. Because didn't we say that the sign or the seal or this emblem was a picture of the king, of the rulership of the kingdom, amen? I mean, even American flag, you put it and you said, this is America's land. Do you ever wonder why the flag on the moon stood perfectly still? Makes you wonder, doesn't it? You've seen the picture? They put the flag down and it's just there. Makes you wonder. Yeshayahu 11 tells us, let's look at verse 10, talking about the sign, the seal. And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand as a miraculous banner to the people. To it shall the Gentile nation seek and his rest shall be with honor. And it shall come to pass in that day that Yahweh shall set his hand again a second time to recover and restore the remnant of his people who shall be left. From Ashur, from Mitsrayim, from Pothros, from Kush, from Elyam, from Shinar, from Hamath, from the coastlands. And he shall set up a miraculous banner for the nations. And he shall gather the outcasts of Israel and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. Look at verse 13. And the envy also of Ephraim shall depart and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off. Ephraim shall not envy Judah. Judah shall not trouble Ephraim. Here it says that the sign is going to be the root of Jesse. Now one interpretation of that is Yeshua. He was from the tribe of the lineage of Jesse. What about, couldn't it also mean this Mogen David? The shield of David. Raised to gather the nations. That it is a banner to the people. Doesn't it say that Yahweh is Yahweh Nisi? Yahweh my banner. The sign of the star of David, it shouldn't even be called the star of David. It should be called the star of Yahweh. Of Yahweh's kingdom. Because Yeshua shall return as Mashiach Ben David. The son of David. To rule and reign on the throne of David. This is the sign, the seal of David as it says here. That Yahweh shall raise it up. The root of Jesse. Which shall stand as a banner. Let me ask you, what root of Jesse stands as a banner today? It is the son of Yahweh, Yeshua and it is the Mogen David. It is the star of David. It was Melech David or in Hebrew, Dawid. Because the Vav today is a V sound. In ancient Hebrew it was a W sound. So we could say Dawid. It was Dawid that penned the beautiful Psalm 119. Tehillim 119. So turn with me now to Tehillim 119. And let's look at this poem. That was penned as a poem unto Yahweh. As a poem about the Hebrew letters. And the verses here begin with A and then with B and Aleph and Dalet and all this. The ones we are going to look at are the ones about the Dalet. Tehillim 119 verses 25 through 32. I said, are you enjoying? Tehillim 119 verse 25. My being cleaves to the dust. Quicken me according to your word. I have declared my ways and you heard me. Teach me your statutes. Make me to understand the way direct of your precepts. So shall I talk of your wonderful works. My being melts for heaviness. Strengthen me according to your word. Remove from me the way direct of lying. Grant me your Torah with favor. I have chosen the way of faith. Your judgments, Mishpatim, have I laid before me. I have stuck to your testimonies. O Yahweh, put me not to shame. I will run to the way of your commandments. When you shall enlarge my heart. Each of these verses in the Hebrew begin with the Dalet. Now again, we read it in English and we don't see that, do we? We miss the hidden meanings, the symbols, the signs of the Dalet. This poem showcases the Hebrew language. Which, by the way, also acts as a seal, as a sign. But the Dalet here, the fourth letter of the Alephbet, was a picture of a door. In Paleo-Hebrew, a picture of a flap on a tent. In today's Hebrew, a picture of a doorway. You see a top, extended, then a right vertical line. You could put a doorknob right here and you'd have a door. The Dalet, as we saw, symbolized the name of who? David. It also symbolized and pointed to someone else. So David was king of who? Israel, right? The Dalet pointed to his name. Well, guess what? Can I hold your talit? The Dalet also points to the king of Israel, Yahweh. Most talits have a blessing on it. Most talits have a blessing on it. That says, I'm going to try to read this in Hebrew. Baruch atah Yahweh Eloheinu melech ha'olam asher t'shanu b'mitzvotav b'tzivanu nehetotef bezitziyot. That's what it says. Got to take my word for it, of course. However, if you look at your talit, it does not have the name of Yahweh on it. Look at it. Go on out. Look for Yod-Heh-Vav-Heh. It is not there. Instead, most talits, like this one, have the Dalet in place of the name. Now, I've had a talit for over ten years, and I've never seen that before. But it doesn't have his name. Or does it? Today, it's not used as much, but in ancient times, the shorthand version of writing the name Yahweh, they would put a Dalet. Because the Dalet was symbolic of David. And they said that David was symbolic of Yahweh. Because David was a man after Yahweh's own heart. That it's under the throne of David that Yahweh's establishing his kingdom. That's powerful. But Dalet symbolizes the name of Yahweh in Judaism today. So if we're going to call it the Star of David, what should we really call it? The Star of Yahweh. That we have seen His star, and we've come to follow Him. Isn't that what the shepherds did? They saw His star. They saw His symbol. That the Dalet is a picture of a man with a bent neck. And that's appropriate because this is the letter of repentance. It's the letter of humility. It's the letter of bending over. That David prayed and he wrote these psalms. And I don't know about you, but when I read the book of Psalms, I really can... equate myself to what he's saying. You know what I mean? I can really just say, you know what? I know how he feels. My soul cleaveth to the dust. Quicken me with your word. You ever feel like that? You're not any better than the dust. It's like, gosh. Yahweh, I need you to quicken me with your word. Originally, this was a picture of a door. And in Hebrew today, the word for door is Dalet. Everybody say Dalet. Dalet. Now, together we can see, get this. But the Dalet is a picture of a door. The word for Dalet is door. That humility, repentance, bending down is the door to Yahweh. You want to get to Yahweh? It's not by knowing it all. It's not by arrogance. It's not by pride. It's not by rebellion. It's by bending down to Yahweh. Take a look at the Helam. Psalm 119, verse 25, beginning with a Dalet. It says, my being cleaves to the dust. Quicken me according to your word. That word for cleaves to the dust is Davach. Davach. Part of the curse, it said, dust you are and dust you shall return. Isn't that right? That our soul without Yahweh is like dust. It's but a vapor. But what do we need Yahweh to do? We need Him to quicken us. To quicken us. Didn't Yahweh give us a quickening spirit? Wasn't it that spirit that raised Yeshua from the dead? It says here, my soul is like dust. Quicken me according to your word. Now what do we call it when someone is walking a sinful lifestyle? They're walking in the flesh. What's the cure for the flesh? For the dustly nature? It is the word. The quickening of the word. Look at verse 28. My being melts for heaviness. The word for melt is Davach. Strengthen me according to your word. That when you get down and when you get out, when you get down and out, when you don't feel like anything is going right, when you feel like you might as well be better off dead, that is when you need the Ruach, when you need the word of Yahweh to quicken you. Because sometimes life is hard. Okay, I repent. 99% of the time, life is hard. How do we make it through? Just like David. Quicken me according to your word. The door. The Dalet is the door. Turn with me to the book of Gilead, the book of Revelation. And again, we're going to see how the Dalet being a book of, or a letter of humility, shows us what our attitude should be towards the Dalet and what Yahweh's attitude is towards the Dalet. Revelation, Gilead Na, chapter 3. The Messianic Movement. The Hebrew Roots Movement. Doesn't really need more Torah. We really don't need more Hebrew either. Hebrew either. What we need is a good old-fashioned dose of humility. Including myself, including Rabbi Daniel. We need some humility. I don't see that much. I'm talking about us. I'm talking about people online and on the internet and in their own little kingdom or whatever it is they have. Gilead Na. Revelation, chapter 3, verse 17. Because you say, I am rich and increased with goods and have nothing to need. And know not, you are wretched. You are miserable. You are poor and blind and naked. I counsel you. I beg you. Buy from me gold. Try it in the fire that you may be rich and white. Reign it that you may be clothed so that the shame of your nakedness does not appear. Anoint your eye and your eyes with ointment that you may see. Verse 19. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Be zealous therefore. Make repentance. Turn around. Bend down like the Dalet. Verse 20. See, I stand at the Dalet. At the Dalet. I stand at the door and knock. If any man hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with me. Verse 21. Bring it all together. To him that overcomes, will I grant him to sit with me in my throne. In my key say, even as I also ever came and have come to sit with my father and his throne. What throne? The throne of David. The throne on the kingdom of David. Do we read that verse and we think it says, oh, behold, I stand at the deli and I'm waiting to eat some kosher food with you. Come on, let's sit down and talk about Torah. No. It says make teshuva. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Yeshua is the door. But to get in, we've got to bend down. We've got to bend the knee. We've got to change our attitude. But Yeshua is at the door. Knocking. He says, come on. But I can't sup with you. I can't eat with you because you're too prideful. You've got too much arrogance. There's no humility there. We've got to get rid of that. The rebellion. Yeshua, Ben David, is the door to Yahweh. Amen. There is no other way. There is no other door. Not Torah. Not Talmud. Not Judaism. There is a false doctrine out there we need to go ahead and address called two-door theology. It has many different heads, but this is what it says. That the Jews have Torah. They go through that door. They go to heaven because they have Torah. And the other idea is that, oh, we Christians or everybody else who has Jesus or Yeshua or Jesus, whatever you want to call him, has that door. You see it in Catholicism, right? You see it in different churches. Dispensationalism. You see it in the Messianic movement because we love the Jewish people so much. We don't want to offend them with Yahweh, Yeshua. And we believe, well, they'll be saved because they keep Torah. Let me tell you something. If you really love the Jewish people, then you have an obligation to share Yeshua with them. There are not two doors to heaven. There are not two doors to eternal life. There is one door, and it is Yeshua. Amen? It is Yeshua. We need to acknowledge and understand that. He is the only door. He's at the door knocking and saying, let me in. Let me in. Not just for salvation, but for fellowship. He says, I want to come and dine with you. Now, my wife and I have a practice of going out for dinner. Now, we've been married almost 11 years. We have five children, and we still date. That's important. Somebody came to me a couple weeks ago, and they said, how in the world have you stayed married for 11 years? I guess that's a miracle nowadays with five kids. And I'm just like, well, with five kids, I'd never leave her. I couldn't afford the alimony. No, no, no, really. And I just looked at them. They said, how in the world could you stay married for 11 years? I said, we've been together 15. The way to stay together and have a long marriage is we have two candlelight romantic dinners a week. She goes on Monday, and I go on Wednesday. Maybe not. But we do. We might not go out. It might just be a trip to Walmart and Subway. You know what I mean? That's our romantic date. However, that's really not a joke. That's the scary thing. That's really the truth. How did we get on that? Yeshua's at the door. He wants to take us out. He wants to dine with us. He wants to sup with us. He wants to date us, you could say. He wants to spend time with us. And our schedule's full of everything else. Everything else we do. And he's there knocking. He doesn't just want to come in. He wants to do that. You know, it's just like that whole deal with the armor of Yahweh. Most people, they know the armor of Yahweh. You know, the helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness, All they do is they put on that helmet of salvation. That's it. And they run around naked. That's what people do. That's what their faith is like. Right? Isn't that right? Oh, I got saved. It's like they're running around with nothing of substance on. And one day, forgive me, One day, it's going to be like that emperor's new clothes. They're going to realize they're naked. They're going to realize there's nothing there to their faith. Because they never went in fellowship with Yahshua. But Yahshua is the door. And again, originally, the Dalet was a picture of a door. Now, I had a couple of knock-knock jokes, but I'm going to save you from that right now. Don't worry. Is that okay? Okay. All right. No knock-knock jokes. We'll save those for the kids to do. How about that? Is that all right? But Yahshua is the door. It tells us in the book of John, chapter 10, verse 17. Yochanan. I'm going to give you a better understanding of this, what this really means. Yochanan 10. Let's start at verse 1. Yochanan 10, verse 1, it says, I say to you, he that enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, is a thief and a robber. But he that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep that follow him know his voice. A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they know the voice of strangers. This figure of speech Yahshua used with them, but they understood not these things. So he said to them, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. Verse 9. I am the door. By me, if any man enters in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and shall find pasture. The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I have come that you might have life, and life in abundance. Verse 17. Therefore does my Father love me, because I have laid down my life, that I might take it up again. Bible scholar George Adam Smith was traveling in Palestine with a guide. He came across a shepherd and his sheep, and he fell into a conversation with him. The man showed him the field which the sheep were led at night, and it consisted of four walls with a way in. And Sir George said, you know, so that's where they go at night? Yes, said the shepherd. And when they come in here, they are perfectly safe. But there is no door, he said. The shepherd looked at him and said, I am the door. Now, he wasn't a Christian, speaking of theology, but he was speaking the truth of shepherding. And so Sir George said, you know, what do you mean that you're the door? The shepherd looked at him and said, when the light is gone, and all the sheep are inside, I lay that open place. No sheep goes across my body. No wolf comes in unless it crosses my body. I am the door. Yeshua is the door. We are the sheep. Part of that means trusting Him to take care of things. Sometimes we think we're the door. We've got to stop it all, we've got to allow it all, we've got to be the Savior. We get the Messiah complexity. Come on now. Come on now. This is true for some of us in this room. We've got to fix it all. I'm going to come to their rescue. I'm Superman. Yeshua is the door. We've got to lay down and rest and hide ourselves in Yeshua. Hide ourselves in Him. And trust Him. But the thief might come to steal, kill, and destroy, but Yeshua is the door. He is the Dalet. And He's there knocking. So when we open the door for salvation, that's not just it. We don't just put on that helmet of salvation. We clothe ourselves in righteousness. Amen? So that comes to another Hebrew word that we want to discuss for a few minutes. Derek. Derek. Which is Hebrew for what? The way. Yeshua said, John, the book of John, I am the way, the truth, and the life. In Hebrew we said, Ani ha-derek. I am the way. Ani ha-emet. I am the truth. Ani ha-chaim. I am the life. Derek means road or way or path. We've got a couple places here to talk about this. Let's turn to Bear Sheet. Turn to Genesis. Chapter 20, excuse me, chapter 3. And we're going to look at the first time the word Derek is used. Or Derek is used. The first time because there's a rule in biblical hermeneutics or in studying scripture called the law of first mention. And the first time something is mentioned, it sets a pattern. This is good. Because what did Yeshua say? What is it? John chapter 14, verse 6. I am the way, the truth, and the life. Guess what? Genesis 3.24 says. So he drove them out. And he placed at the east of the Gan Eden, angels, cherubim, and flaming sword that turned in every direction to guard the Derek, the way, back to the tree of life. Yeshua said, I am the way. Here we see that the angels guarded the way to the tree of life. Who is the tree of life? Yeshua, the Torah. By the way, who was at the tomb when they came to see the body? Who met him there but angels saying he's not here. They were looking for the way to the tree of life. And they were there and they said, why do you look for the living among the dead? It's powerful. Yeshua is the way. The truth and the life. He is the way to the tree of life. Now this word is used again the second time in Bereshit chapter 6, verse 12. So we have Yahweh's way, Derek. In verse 12, we have man's way. Bereshit, Genesis 6, verse 12. The Torah portion, Noach. It says, an Elohim looked upon the earth and see, it was corrupt. For all flesh had corrupted its own Derek upon the earth. He put a little effort to retrieve life and guess what? I'm going to go the other way. I'm going to go the other way. They had corrupted their ways. All flesh had gone evil. Man has rejected the etzchaim. Man has rejected the way to the tree of life. Broad is the path, right brother Mark? Broad is the path that leads to destruction. But narrow and difficult is the road to righteousness. Proverbs 14, 12 says, there is a way which seems right unto a man. But in the end, the man's ways, the man's Derek is death. Sin leads to death. Man's ways lead to death. But Yahweh's way leads what? What does his path lead to? The tree of life, the etzchaim. That's awesome. I don't know if that excites you, but that gets me going. That's like throwing fire in the furnace. You know what I'm saying? A little more wood, that gets me. Man's ways lead to death. Yahweh's way leads to life. And then in Bereshit, Genesis 18, turn with me there. A few pages over. Bereshit 18, verse 19. It says about Abraham. Yahweh is speaking. And he says, I know Avraham. And he will command his children and his household after me. That they shall keep the halakha of Yahweh. They shall walk the way of Yahweh. And do judgment and justice. And Yahweh may bring upon Abraham all that Yahweh has spoken about. But Avraham was going to go the way. But Derek of Yahweh. What else is important about this? The phrase way of Yahweh. I encourage you to do a study on that. Way of Yahweh. Derek of Yahweh. After the days of Yahoshua, Joshua. Yahweh tested the Israelites to see if they would keep the way of Yahweh. That's what it says in Judges chapter 2. In Proverbs chapter 10. Verse 29. It speaks of the Derek of Yahweh. Mishle 10. Verse 29. It says the way of Yahweh is strength to the upright. But destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. Of lawlessness. Of Torahlessness. Get that. But the Derek of Yahweh is strength to the upright. So let me ask you. Are you on the way? Are you on His way? Or are you in the way? Sometimes all we got to do is just get ourselves out of the way and let Yahweh go. But my problem is I get in the way. I think I got to fix it. I think I got to do it. I think this. I think that. And my thinking thinking gets me in trouble. Right? We got to get out of the way so we can get on the way to Yahweh. And Yahweh will lead us. And Yahweh will guide us. So if you got an issue. You got a question. You got a problem. What do I do? Do I go to the left? Do I go to the right? Stay on the middle path. Stay and follow Yahweh. Foolish people despise the way of Yahweh. Jeremiah chapter 5 speaks of this. The way of Yahweh is often called the way. Didn't you know that? Read the book of Acts. What were the believers called? Followers of the way. Do you remember that? Followers of the direct. Of the way. Now Yeshua taught two contrasting ways. There's the way of man. There's the way of Yahweh. Then he said I am the way and the truth and the life. Devarim 11. Verses 22 and 23. For you shall diligently keep and guard. All these myths vote I command you. To do them. To love Yahweh. To have your walk after his ways. To cleave unto him. And then. Then. Then Yahweh will drive out the nations from before you. And you shall possess greater nations and mightier ones than yourself. All we have to do is follow hard after Yahweh. Follow hard after Yahweh. Seek him. And Yahweh is going to drive out the pain. Drive out the problems. Drive out those who would oppress us. I didn't say that. Yahweh said that. The direct of Yahweh is the way of salvation. The direct of Yahweh is the way of salvation. Turn with me to the book of Yochanan. The book of John. She grunted that bad. The book of John chapter 4. Story of the woman at the well. Yeshua is there. He sends off his disciples. He goes to the well. He wants something to drink. So he asks this woman from Samaria. From Shomron. I'm thirsty. Can I have something to drink? She says you don't have a bucket. The well is deep. And he says whoever drinks of this water shall thirst again. Whoever drinks of the water I have will have springs of living water. Verse 19. The woman says I perceive you are a prophet. Our fathers worshipped in this mountain. She realizes this is not a normal man. This man knows the way. So she asks him some questions. She says oh let me ask you some biblical questions. Let me ask you something here. Our fathers worshipped on this mountain. Yet you say that in Yerushalayim is a place where men should worship. And what does he say? Yeshua said woman believe me the hour comes. You shall neither worship in this mountain nor at Yerushalayim. Worship the Abba. You worship what you know. We know what we worship. For what? Verse 22. Salvation is of the Jews. Is of or is from the Yahudim. When the hour comes it has now come when the true worshippers, the emet worshippers, shall worship Abba in ruach ve-emet. In spirit and in truth. Verse 24. Yahweh is spirit. They that worship him must, must, must worship in spirit and in truth. Salvation is of the Yahudim. Now I want to show you something here you might not have seen before. Because we read it in English. And we miss so much. Now David was from what tribe? The tribe of Judah. Who is Judah? The son of Leah. Leah. In fact when she had Leah. When Leah had Judah. She named him this and said I thank Yahweh. Because Judah means to praise Yah. To praise Yahweh. We named our son Judah because it means praise Yahweh. That every time we call his name we would be singing and saying praise Yahweh. Judah. Today the Jewish people. The land of Judea. The Yahudim. In English the message is concealed. But in Hebrew it is revealed. Take a look and consider now. For those listening by CD. Look at this. Alright. Take a look and consider now. That was pretty funny wasn't it? Somebody is listening by CD probably. And drove off the road. Yahudah. In Hebrew is Yod Hay Vav Dalet Hay. The way you spell Yahudah in Hebrew is Yod Hay Vav Dalet Hay. Yeshua said salvation is of Yahudah. Salvation is of Yod Hay Vav Dalet Hay. What does that mean? The name Judah includes the name of Yahweh. The name Judah is Yod Hay Vav Dalet Hay. It is the name of Yahweh plus the Dalet. Now friends what does that mean? It means that the door, the Dalet to Yahweh. Is Yeshua. He was not saying people had to convert to Judaism was he? No. When he said salvation is of the Jews. He was saying salvation is of Yahudah. Yod Hay Vav Dalet Hay. Get the door. Go through the door. I am the door and you will get to Yahweh. Get the door and you will get to Yahweh. Now it is interesting also. Because it raises another something to consider here. What does it say in Romans chapter 3? A true Jew is one circumcised of the heart. Not just the flesh. That the Jewish Messiah, get this. The Jewish Messiah is the door to Yahweh. Yeshua is the door. Ani Ha Dalet. I am the door. Now there are those just to bring about something here. But you could also look at this and say well wait a minute. This is interesting. You have Yahudah. That is how we say this, correct? Take the Dalet out. Yahuah. But what do we say? We say Yahweh. What is right? Personally I would say they both are. Because we do not know for sure, do we? But I believe that they are both correct. From what we know. Because what do we do? We say it by Emunah. By faith. We know Lord and God are not right. We know Adonai and Hashem is not right. But if it says Yahudah here, why would not it be Yahudah here? Unless the vowels are different. We do not know, do we? That is the wonderful power of faith. So my opinion about this is pronunciation is not as important as usage. Does that make sense? Because you have some that say Yahuah. You have some that say Yahweh. You have some that say Yahveh. How can we all be right? How can we all be wrong? Yahweh will clear it up. Amen? Do you know who I am talking about? Yahweh Elohim of Israel. Amen. So Yahudah points us to the door which is Yeshua. It is interesting because the Dalet is the number four. Four is three plus one. Three plus one. On the fourth day Yahweh created the world. The elements. He finished with the earth. Yahweh uses those elements and he uses his name, Yahudah-Heh-Vav-Heh, and he uses the four directions, north, south, east, and west, and the four winds to teach us things. There are four elements. There are four directions. There are four seasons. Yahweh finished the heavens and the earth on the fourth day. Again, we are dust. It all points us back to that. Man is dust and so we have to recognize and realize this. But the pattern is here in Psalm 119. Let's finish in Psalm 119. Let's finish in Psalm 119. Begin to finish, if that's alright. Verse 25, it says, My being cleaves to the dust. The Hebrew word here for cleave is debach. I'm cleaving to the dust. Quicken me according to your devar. Word. Another Dalet word. You've heard the word devarim? Devar. Psalm 119 verse 26. I have declared my ways and you heard me. Teach me your statutes. How many of us have done that? Declared to Yahweh our ways. Yahweh, I wanted it this way. I wanted it that way. And this is what I got. So you know what? Teach me your ways. I'm tired of Daniel's ways. I'm tired of my ways. I want Yahweh's. Amen? Verse 27. And then I'm going to have to make a run dash out of here. So she doesn't catch me. Verse 27. Make me to understand the direct, the way of your precepts. So I shall talk of your wondrous works. Isn't that right? His words like fire shut up in our bones. That when He makes us understand it, we want to talk about it. But you know what's so neat? Go to Jeremiah where it says that His word is like fire shut up in your bones. It actually says your name is like fire. That's powerful. His name is like fire shut up in our bones. Verse 28. My soul melts, another Dalet word for heaviness. Strengthen me according to your Debar, your word. Verse 29. Remove from me the Derek of lying. Grant me thy law graciously. Yahweh doesn't want to feed us over the head with Torah. He wants to grant it to us graciously. Verse 30. I have chosen the Derek that he met the way of truth. Thy judgments I've set before me. Verse 31. I have stuck the Bach. Unto your testimonies. Oh, Yahweh, put me not to shame. Now go back up to verse 25. It says my soul cleaveth unto the dust. Then it says I've stuck into my testimonies. His word is like water. Isn't that right? Isn't the washing of the water. When you take dust and water, what do you get? You get mud. What are we made out of? Mud. We're man. What did Adam? Adam was called Adam, which means bloody, ready, muddy. Powerful. Put all that together. Verse 32. I will run the Derek of your commandments when you enlarge my heart. I will go that way. I will cling to. I will adhere. I will abide to your commandments. Yahweh, enlarge my heart. The Mogan David is a symbol of Yeshua's coming kingdom to rule and reign. He is coming soon. Amen? And we've got to recognize it and realize it. The UN flag is not ours. Yahweh's flag is. By the way, the Israeli flag is similar. There's a blue star David and a white background with two bars. The two bars are to symbolize the Talit. The blue is used because it's the color of the Zit-Zit. Blue is used in Zit-Zit because it reminds us of the blueness of the ocean. The ocean reminds us of the blueness of the sky. The sky, it says, is Yahweh's footstool. Yahweh's throne is made of sapphire. It all points us back to look to Yahweh's throne. What throne does Yeshua sit on? The throne of David. Think about that for a few minutes. Selah. So we need to pray for the opportunity. We need to recognize the opportunity. Revelation 3.8. I know your deeds. Hear me now. I know your deeds. I have put before you an open door which no man can shut because you've had a little power and you've kept my word and you have not denied my name. That when we have the name of Yahweh, the name of our king, Messiah Yeshua, who sits upon the throne of David, when we have his name, Yahweh sets before us open doors that no man can shut. It is our choice to walk through them. So how do you know if Yahweh is opening a door for you? The best way is to jiggle the handle. Shake the handle a little bit and see if it opens. And then go through it with faith. And we should pray for Yahweh to open more doors for us. In Colossians 4.3 it says, Pray for us that Yahweh would open before us a delet, a door, for the word so that we may tell the secret about Messiah. What is the secret about Messiah? It's that, you know what? He is the Jewish Messiah. Do you know what? Salvation is of the Yahudim, of the Jews. Yeshua is the door to Yahweh. But the star of David isn't the star of David. It's the star of Yahweh. It's the emblem. And that you have your own way. There's a way that man considers to be right, but in the end it leads to death. Yeshua said, I am the way. Follow Him and you'll get back to the tree of life. That's the secret. And we need to pray that Yahweh would open doors for us. Sometimes our prayers are like this. Oh Yahweh, slam the door in that person's face, please. Because they frustrated me today. Bless his food. Amen. You're laughing, but it's right. What should we be praying? Yahweh, open a door for me. Open a door. But I can share your Torah. David's name is spelled Dalet, Vav, Dalet. The Vav is a picture of a nail, of a hook, of a man. We are joined to David. He is our king. Amen. Amen. Yeshua sits on David's throne. We are told after six years. How many years? Six years. What's the Vav? The number six. That a person who wishes to remain in servanthood to his master must have his ear pierced with an awl on the door frame, on the Dalet, willing to give up freedom to serve their master. So my question to you right now is, what do we need to give up? What do we need to pray about? What do we need to sacrifice? What do we need to realize that's maybe holding us back? We've shared a lot today. The Dalet is a powerful letter. But Yahweh is sitting before us, open doors. But before we go through them, we've got to release what we're holding on to and walk in his freedom. Amen. The star of David is the star of Yahweh. It's not our Talit. It is his name. Father Yahweh, we pray that you would mark us with your seal, your Dalet, your stamp. David slaughtered that Goliath pig. He cut off his head. He cut off the power of that mark. Father Yahweh, you would set before us open doors that we may tell the secret about the Messiah. Father, we want to tell it right. We want to share your glory. Father, we give you thanks. Thank you for opening our eyes today to your Dalet that we could see your wonderful plan of Yeshua, the wonderful plan of the door, and even the truth of the star of David. It's your raising that root of David high. And what does your Word say? Yeshua said that if I be lifted up like a banner, that I will draw all men unto me. So, Father, we pray that we could lift you up. That you would draw men unto yourselves and you would put the open doors before us. We would keep your name and that we would overcome and be given the right to eat from the tree of life. We give you thanks. Through Yeshua we pray. Amen and Amen. Hallelujah.
