Just kidding. Well, here you go. Finally, the podcast that everybody's been waiting on, that I've been talking about for like six months, and everybody keeps asking me, have you done it yet? Where's it at? Where do we see it? Where's it going? And I'm just, I've been trying to learn how to use all of this equipment. So that's what's been taking so long, is getting the space available and ready, and then learning how to run all of this. I mean, I'm in my 50s. I'm challenged when it comes to technical shit here, and it takes some time to learn. It's the YouTubes, it's the social medias, it's all of that. So here we go. I'm finally making this happen, and I hope you enjoy it. So welcome to Devilish Angel Chronicles, where we're going to embark on the journey through the windy, twisty turns of being 50 and beyond. I am Christy, your host. I am a Gen X-er, motorcycle rider, and also a model and content creator. So yeah, I'm here to break all of the stereotypes, and I want to learn from other people as well. So it's time to unveil what is this? What is this podcast about? Because that is the biggest question I keep getting, and it's about everything. I look through my phone, and I was looking at all the pictures and trying to figure out, what am I going to talk about? My life is so many things. It's travel, it's motorcycles, it's food, it's my friends, it's everything. There's just so much going on there. So yeah, we're going to talk about it all. And I'm going to bring people on, and we're just going to have a good time. It's going to be like this back in the 80s, the talk shows and the radio shows. That's what I want it to be like. That's what I want it to be. So yeah, and so today I'm going to talk a little bit about what I did last night and yesterday, which is about the content creating and modeling and photography. So last night, or actually yesterday, at my shop, we set up a couple of different photography backdrops or sets. And the whole purpose of this photo shoot was Pirates of the Tarmac are doing a Valentine's photo, social media photo contest. And so I was like, you know, I haven't done something. There's this one scene that I have seen over the years that always gets a lot of likes, gets a lot of attention. Everybody thinks it's cool as shit. So yeah, I haven't had an opportunity to do it. So I set it up, and it was a lot of fun. It was a lot of fun. So what it is, and I'll post some pictures on there. But it's a Valentine's theme with my red Triumph Thunderbird and myself in my pinup dress and pearls and drinking, having a romantic dinner or a romantic moment with a nice table set up and everything. So I'm excited to see how those come out. It's always fun to do that stuff. But yeah, it was a lot of fun. And Russ was there. He was my photographer last night, and he was also showing me how to use my camera equipment because I inherited this from Archangel13 on social media over a year ago when we lost him to colon cancer. And so I've been sitting on this stuff going, oh my gosh, it's so overwhelming. It's the camera itself because it's a Sony mirrorless. And I'm like, I have no idea what I'm doing. So I'm trying to watch YouTube videos and TikToks and just trying to get familiar with it. And then everything that is with it, all the lenses. Which lenses do I use for what? Because he did some outdoor stuff besides doing the cars and the bikes and people. But he was just always very creative. And I want to continue that and learn more. So we have that. And then I bought the podcast equipment from a friend of ours. And it's four mics, and it's this really cool Rode podcast board. And it's pretty fancy. And I just am looking at it going, that's a lot of colors and a lot of buttons. And so, again, overwhelming. And I'm sitting here going, okay, this is really great. But how is it going to turn out and all of that? And then I have the editing part of everything from the podcast and from the camera stuff. Just those two elements of the productions is just, it's a lot. Plus doing a full-time job. And we just recently got a really adorable bloodhound puppy who's now 11 weeks, Roscoe. And you may hear him in the background periodically. And you'll see him on my social media platforms. But, yeah, it's taken me some time to really tackle and look at this equipment and feel comfortable with it. And I'm not yet. I'm not completely. I'm not going to lie. So you're going to hear a lot of ums and ands and breaks. See, there's an um. How about we turn this into a drinking game for those that drink or those people that smoke? Take a toke. Every time I say um or and, there you go. This will keep you entertained. Just you get it. And then at the end, make your comments and say how many times you drank or how many times you took a toke. Because I said um. And I'm going to steal that from I believe it was How I Met Your Mother. And Robin was being the broadcaster in the evening or late at night. And the college kids all knew her. And they were trying to figure out why they knew her. And all these people were watching her show. Yeah, it's because they turned her into a drinking game. So I think that's where we should go with this. Because did you ever see the show Weeds on Netflix? And it was the and whatnot and whatnot and whatnot. Yeah, again. So figure out which word I said. Yeah, I want you to drink or toke every time I say um. How about that? Okay. So we're going to continue talking about what is this podcast going to be about? So there you go. Drink, toke. Okay. So I talked about the equipment. I talked a little bit about what I did last night. I'm getting ready to do another photo shoot here at my place. Ah, drink, toke. So on Tuesday. And it's going to be an anti-Valentine's shoot. And I have my friend Kirsten who does South Fork Ranch photography. She does boudoir. And she's been doing a lot of great outdoor stuff. And just a lot of hiking and that type of stuff. Anyway, so she's going to come. She's going to also help me with my lighting and my settings on my camera. And, again, I'm going to have two setups. Excuse me. And we're going to do a cake smash anti-Valentine's. We're going to have a couple of other people that show up. And we're just going to have a good time. I hope those, you know, I love having girl time and having fun. Some of my friends, there you go, there's another one. Some of my friends had asked me, you know, can you do other modeling besides boudoir? Because that's not for everybody. And I'm like, yeah, I can do that. So I'm trying to branch out a little more with just the fun stuff. You know, be creative. I think that's who we are as Gen Xers. For me, it's always the shock value. That's what my family always said. Like I've always done things uniquely and step out of the box and just be different. You know, everything about me is different. You know, I'm a unique person. But I'm really excited about Tuesday's Valentine's cake smash photo shoot. You know, that's a really, I can't wait to just squish a cake. You know, like a two-year-old or a one-year-old. Isn't that when they do the cake smash? You know, where they stick their fingers in there and everything. I did it for my 50th birthday. I turned 50 during the peak of COVID. Everything was shut down. And we were able to go out to Alderbrook Resort in Union, Washington, which is one of my favorite places. I like just going out there for dinner or whatever. And dessert. Of course dessert. Dessert first, right? So we went out there and we did, Kirsten, again, did my 50th cake smash pictures. We filled the hotel room with balloons. And, you know, just had, everything was purple. Purple and silver and black were the colors. And I dressed up in some lingerie and some big furry, or this big tulle skirt, which I call it like my queen princess skirt. My friend Ashley at work created it for me. She also wore it on her platform, her TikTok platform, and was like, of course I'm going to try it out and wear it before I give it to you, you know. She also made my little crown for that event or that photo shoot. And so, yeah, the photo shoot was great. So also, I had three of my besties with me. And with the cake, we, you know, took the wine glass and cut the cake that way. And then I just kind of smashed it with my hands and ate cake with my hands. Because, first of all, I love cake. It's my grandmother's fault. She used the oven as a babysitter. She would put something in the oven, turn on the light, put me in a little chair in front of it and say, okay, watch it grow. Watch it cook. Yeah. And then, of course, the waiting, the waiting for the cake, you know. Oh, it's got to cool. Oh, we've got to make the frosting. Okay. Nope, now we've got to wait for everybody to be here so everybody can have a piece. And, you know, the anticipation of that freaking cake. You know, I'm like, but it was amazing, absolutely amazing. So, yes, I have this love thing about cake, just love cake, which I have to stay away from because I would be 300 pounds plus if I was around cake all the time. Good thing I'm not a baker. But, yes, it's my grandmother's fault that I love cake so much. And as long as it's not strawberry, that's a whole different story. So let's talk more. Okay, we're getting more into the cake smash and all of that. But what do I want to do with my photography? Where do I want to see it go? My vision for my photography is I want to also do boudoir shoots for other women. I have had so many women come to me and ask me, you know, who does them? What does it cost me? I can't believe, you know, you're so brave and everything because I cannot do that. I couldn't do it. I was really surprised when I started doing more boudoir shoots of just women coming forward saying, wow, like I can't do that. I don't have the confidence. I don't have any of that. And these are women who are usually very fit and gorgeous. And I just kind of look at them going, you know, I've got the bumps and wrinkles and everything. You know, I'm 50. I've had two kids. You know, my weight has fluctuated over the years. So, you know, I've got a lot of loose skin. You know, I'm a perfect candidate for a mommy makeover. You know, like how could you not do that? You know, and I'm like, you can do this. And I'm like, let me take some pictures of you. You know, and most of the time, you know, up until this point, it's been with my cell phone. And I haven't been done too shabby. But now I have, you know, Michael's Sony mirrorless. And I'm like, oh, I'm just so intimidated. But once I get that dialed in, you know, I can't wait to work with more females. But on a twist side, I want to do more like dude boudoir. I want the guys to come out. You know, I have, there's only a few, you know, again, the guys, I don't know about you ladies, but I'm going to tell you. There are so many men that have more insecurities body image wise when they hit like their 30s and 40s than us women do. It absolutely amazes me. You know, when I was dating, I was like, I can't date you. You have more insecurities than I do. Like, you know, you know, they worry about their weight gain, their hair loss, you know, all of these different things. And I'm like, okay, dad bods are in, you know, rock it. So, yes, I want to do more dude boudoirs. So, I want to do that. I am obviously going to do bike shots with people. I'm not sure I'm going to get into a lot of landscaping, possibly. You know, I don't know. I don't know where everything's going to go, you know. So, my photography stuff, that's kind of my vision. Like, I don't, I'm going to try to do just small little studio stuff. You know, and if people want to come utilize my studio stuff, I'm totally down with that. Again, you know, support each other. Support each other's business because it's not about competition for me. It's more of, what are you doing? Oh, that's cool. Show me how to do that. You know, let's teach each other. And then, you know, let's get into, what's the other thing that we can talk about? I was totally brain farted because I was going into pictures, and then I went into, oh, podcasting. I want to get back onto the podcasting. Yeah, this is how it's going to be. There's going to be no rhyme or reason in my podcast. We're just going to roll with it. The podcast went, so motorcycles and podcasts, that's where it went. I want to possibly, if I can, make a portable podcast studio and take it to all the motorcycle events that I go to, and then pull people out of the crowd to come talk on my podcast with me about who they are, where they come from, what do they ride, and why are they there. You know, and just find some really cool, interesting people because that's what I do when I go to all of these, you know, Dream Roll, Babes Ride Out, Run 21, any of the, you know, bike rallies that I've gone to, a lot of the bike shows. I want to meet new people. I'm not there to meet the people that I already see all the time or whatever. I want to see the people that I follow on social media that I haven't met in person. I want to have a one-on-one conversation with them. I want to know more just how they get into it, you know, just curiosity type things. But I want to be able to take my podcast equipment with me and set up a booth and just pull people and have it so people can walk by and see what's going on. You know, they used to do that with radio shows. Now radio has kind of gone to the wayside. You know, there's not a lot of radio, live radio anymore. But that's what I'm hoping I can turn this into. What do you think? You know, I want people in the comments telling me what do you think about that idea because I do do a lot of travel. I do do. Sorry. I have that whole friend Joey moment there. So because I do travel. This past year I traveled to Utah by myself, solo trip. And I wasn't in the mood to talk to anybody, mind you. But I do travel to Oregon. And I know this coming year we're going to go to the Rocky Mountain Roll, Amanda's event. And I haven't been to it. I've been wanting to go to it for years. And her and I talked about it at the Portland One Moto Show last year because she only has so many tickets and it sells out. So I jumped on them really quick this year because I wanted more trips out of the state. I'm done riding around Washington. I'm done riding around Oregon. I want to spend more time west, south. I've done California too. But anyhow. So, yeah, like if I can bring my podcast equipment with me to these different Moto events, I'm going to try doing that. You know, Amanda had said something on one of her reels on Instagram about when she goes to an event that it's not for her. It's not about the bands or the vendors or any of that. You know, it's not all of that. It's the people. And I agree 100%. Every time I've gone to a Moto event, I want to connect with the people, meet new people. And I have done that through social media over the last 15 years that I've been riding. In fact, I'm going to see a cowgirl, Regina, on the East Coast. She has already agreed to be one of my guests. And so I'm going to reel her in probably in the next week and see if I can get her recorded. I've admired her. She is just so wonderful. She gives back to, you know, the animals. And she really focuses on true women's weight and sizes when it comes to clothing. She is definitely more of a Gen X style. But she has created her brand phenomenally. I mean, it's amazing. The clothing that she puts out, the stickers, just all of her merch. I mean, there are women all over the U.S. that have tattoos of steel cowgirl. And I have been, you know, a fan of hers. I think we talked about it like in 2010, 2011, somewhere around there. We'll talk about it when I have her on. So, yeah, she's another one. She just absolutely amazes me. But I've met a lot of those people on social media that I've met in person. But when I do go to events, that's the people I want to meet and I want to talk to and everything. And, you know, there's people who have invited me to go out to the Tale of the Dragon. So I might do that this year. I'm definitely thinking about doing a trip out that way to see them. Well, Steel Cowgirl is having a meet and greet in July, and I'm going. I don't know if I'm flying out and renting a bike or if I'm going to ride my bike, take two weeks, because that's how long it's going to take me, two weeks, and ride out. Obviously, I want to do the ride out. But I'm not sure how much time I can get off work to make that happen. So, yeah, so there you have it. This is kind of what the podcast is going to be like. I'm going to wrap it up right now, and I want you to put down in the comments and let me know what do you want to talk about, what do you want to hear me talk about, and do you want to be a guest on here. Like I said, I've got four mics, so I can have three other people join me. Also, there's the call-ins, you know, or we can do the lives. But you're going to have to be patient because I'm doing the best I can to make this happen. So the other question I have is, for those people that took me up on the drinking or toke every time I said, um, tell me down in the comments how many did I say, how many times did you have to drink or toke, and how much did you enjoy it and have a good time with it. All right. For now, ciao.
