Using generative AI is not a straightforward issue of banning or not banning. It can be a useful learning tool to build upon existing ideas, but it can also hinder creativity. Researchers argue that continuous use of generative AI by younger generations can negatively impact their ability to think creatively. My research indicates that using generative AI isn't as simple as a ban or not ban. AI can be used well as a learning tool for people to expand upon ideas and works they have already created, but it is also a harmful crutch. Some researchers believe that if younger generations are continuously using generative AI, it negatively alters their ability to think creatively for themselves.
