The Fog Horn

A concert work based on the Ray Bradbury short story of the same name. I want to convey a sense of waves in the dynamics as well as rising/falling figures. The recurring horn/tub bell figure represents the fog horn that calls out to the great beast of the dark depths. While the piece is tonally unstable, I want to give it a somber tone with some pathos as Bradbury's original story is very poignant if not sad. It's not horrific but tale of a creature out of its time.
