Work in progress- Movement II. The Sea. This represents the great unknown of the sea modulating between wonderment and portent. the opening section with its chromatic theme group represents sirens calling to explorers in ancient times. this will be followed by a more tonal expository section that will sing text from Hawthorne's The Ocean poem.
