Nothing to say, yet
Fear is having faith in the wrong "what-if". We often have a constant stream of negative "what-if" thoughts. Instead, we should focus on positive "what-if" scenarios. For example, what if everything goes well? What if we succeed beyond our expectations? We should look for these empowering "what-if" moments in our lives. If you've never listened to Elevation Church's sermons, do yourself a favor and give it a listen. Recently, Pastor Fertick said, Fear is faith in the wrong what-if. I love this. If you're anything like me, I am in a constant subconscious what-if barrage. What if my kids get sick? What if the money doesn't come through? What if I speak and they laugh at me? What if I gain weight? What if I abstain and I miss out? What if I'm not consistent? What if I fail? Can anyone else relate? The pastor made such a poignant point in that one quote. This week, when you begin the whole internal dialogue full of doubt, fear, reservations, mostly in your abilities, ask yourself, Is this faith in the wrong what-if? Instead, it could be, What if they don't get sick and we have a great week? What if I make more money than I even planned? What if I speak and they accept me as a colleague? What if I inspire others through my weight loss journey? What if I discover new things by abstaining from the old familiar? What if I don't worry about my long-term consistency and I just do the next best choice? I'd love to hear about the what-if moments that you turn around and find power in. They are all around us. Uncover them.
