They are discussing their fantasy football draft strategies. One person is employing the zero RB strategy, while the other is using the hero RB strategy. All right, coming to you guys live, we're going to be doing a fantasy football draft. The format is, are we doing half or full PPR? We're doing a half point perception right here. Okay, half PPR, two flex or one? One flex. Okay, one flex, half PPR draft. I'll be picking from the three spot and I'm going to be employing the zero RB strategy. And my man Dallas is going to be picking from the nine spot, employing the zero RB strategy. So we just kind of want to dive into some different strategies to give listeners a way, like a little outlook on what works, what doesn't work, and what it's going to look like for this 2024 draft season. So without any further ado, I'm ready to get started with you, Arvin. Let's get started. All right. So first off the board, whoa. Of course, Jefferson and Lanham come off the board one and two. This is particularly surprising because I think Christian McCaffrey is kind of seen as the alpha overall. Absolutely. Just for the purposes of this draft and going for the zero RB strategy, I'm going to go wide receiver. But in actuality, if McCaffrey is anywhere other than one, you're getting him at value. So I'm going to take Tyreek Hill here. For one, I love him the most in basketball because he has the most explosive games. He's the most explosive player, debatably. And I'm going to go wide receiver outright, really close with him and Jamar Chase. I think Chase has a huge year this year. Assuming he stays healthy and Burrell stays healthy. But for the intense – well, actually, yeah, for intense purposes of this, I'll just go Tyreek Hill here at three. I agree. Great pick. And, yes, if Christian McCaffrey is there, anywhere but one, take Christian McCaffrey. Don't second guess it. Don't think about it. He's by far the most productive player in fantasy. All right. And then after Hill went McCaffrey, of course, at four. Chase at five. Brees Hall and Gibbs at six and seven. Followed by Amonra St. Brown, and then it's on Dallas at pick nine. Dallas, what you thinking here? Okay, so what I'm doing here is the hero RB. So this method is specifically for creating a floor play. You get more points the more times you touch the football. Workhorse running backs are a sure thing. They're going to touch the ball 15 to 20 times a game. That's opportunity. I like creating as many touches as possible. So according to my rankings here, I do have Christian McCaffrey number one, Brees Hall two, Jameer Gibbs is four, and I actually have B. John Robinson is three, and he is a smash play here at the end of the first. He would be an absolute steal at the end of the first. So I'm going to go. And that worked out perfect for me. Yep. Yeah, it did, because then after you went Pukunuku and Garrett Wilson, so no more running backs came off the board, so now you have your pick. Are you staying with another running back in this? You went hero RB, so you're going what? You say two running backs in the first two rounds? Yes. If it goes through my rankings, I'll take three, back to back to back. Oh, okay. Wow. Okay. For this specific method, yes. And we'll compare the two once we're done. Jonathan Taylor coming back to me in the end of the first or the second, I am going to absolutely smash that, having two, stacking B. John and Jonathan Taylor. That's 40 touches a game. Yeah, 100%. Love that strategy, man. After you, after Jonathan Taylor, went A.J. Brown, then Marvin Harrison. The thing with Marvin Harrison, I think a lot of people are taking him early to mid-second. I think they're drafting him at his ceiling. And with a rookie guy like that, I want to take him closer to his floor. So I won't be drafting much Marvin Harrison unless it's at the end of the second, early third. But Harrison, then Saquon Barkley, Drake London, and then Kyron Williams. So now it's to me. And top receivers available according to ADP on Sleeper, Devontae Adams, Chris Olave, Brandon Ayuk. Also, I see Josh Allen there available. Just according to this and my projections, I think I'm favoring Olave. I'm not loving his quarterback. The quarterback he has, so-and-so. Brandon Ayuk last year was phenomenal. I appreciate you pausing that for me. I think for this, who do I take first on? Tyree Kill. So with the variance of Tyree Kill, I think I'm going to go a little safer here, a little more high floor here. So I'll probably go with Devontae Adams here. And that's your guy. That's your Raiders guy right there, too. Raiders, baby. Raiders. Super Bowl bound. Following Devontae Adams, we had Sam LaPorta go at the end of the second. And then followed by Brandon Ayuk, Josh Allen, and Devontae Champ. And then it's right back to me. And keep in mind, I'm employing the zero RB strategy. So I'll be going really wide receiver heavy. And it just feels like the next in line. I see Olave's at the top of the ADP. But I personally don't have Olave as high as I have Nico Collins. So I'm going to call to Nico Collins this year. Also in consideration was Travis Kelsey. Give me that positional advantage to offset the absence of not having a running back that you can depend on. But we'll explore that in another video. So if you want to unpause it, I will go ahead and I will take Nico Collins here. Nico Collins is great. But this is just an idea here. You know, you have Travis Kelsey as an option here. There is a legitimate possibility that you could turn around next round and pick up Patrick Mahomes and have the stack. Matter of fact, we could try that stack, actually, just for the purposes of this. Because we know we're not going to be snatching up a running back yet. So if you want to go ahead and unpause it. Let's try that. In the Patrick Mahomes era, there's never been an opportunity to get the two. Like this. There's never been. So this is the first year we're going to get that experience without absolutely using your first and your second and third round for this. Right. Right. Which is suicide to me, but whatever. Yes. We'll try it. Yeah, let's try it out. So if you want to unpause it, I will take Travis Kelsey here in the beginning of the third. Open that Mahomes back, which sounds crazy because I've never played quarterback early. Following Kelsey was Derrick Henry in the third, followed by Chris Olave, ETN, Nico Collins, and Josh Jacobs. Well, I'm not high on any thirds. So it's going to you. You have two running backs for your hero RB strategy. What are you thinking here? Well, unfortunately, I was hoping that my tear break of Derrick Henry and Travis ETN, that one of them would fall to me. Unfortunately, two picks ahead of me goes Travis ETN. Josh Jacobs, to me, Travis ETN and Josh Jacobs, that's a big jump. I really want a Travis ETN. But someone who is close to Travis ETN, closer than Josh Jacobs, I do believe this year, you know, last two years, he runs like a new kid with Skechers on. Isaiah Pacheco. He runs violently. He's on a good offense. He's a work horse. He's looking for a contract. He's solid. Yes, sir. Got front and back some contract. He is. Love that pick. So you start off with John Robinson, Jonathan Taylor, and Isaiah Pacheco. And then Team 10 right behind you is doing the zero RB thing. Yes. It's working out perfect for me. Yeah. So how much is too much? Did you say we have two flexes or one? We have one flex. So this worked out perfectly for me. This is exactly what I wanted to happen. I got my three work horse running backs. Three, and all three of these are absolute number ones. There's nobody else in that running back room who is challenging that spot. That's what I want. With a hero RB, you want to shy away from committees. Absolutely. So with that, getting my three at this point, now I've allotted myself the opportunity to go for a receiver. Okay. Who do you like here as your stand-alone wide receiver with this strategy? Okay. So here we go. Stephon Diggs. He's getting a little bit older. He's in a new offense, a high-power offense at that. I love the talent. I love the pieces around him. But where do you have him in the three of Tank Dell, Nico Collin, Stephon Diggs, and Dalton Miller and Joe Nixon? There's a lot of mouth to feed. That's a loaded offense. That's a great point, man. I haven't drafted him, and I've done a lot of drafts. I draft every day, of course. And I haven't drafted him yet because I'd rather have the explosiveness of a Tank Dell. I'd rather have the consistency and the targets of a Nico Collins at that ADP in that second, third-round range. And in that second, third-round range, I just don't love him as much as I love the other guys around him. So I haven't taken Diggs this year. How about this question for you? Because you went hero RB, how much are you looking for a stack here? Because I can see a stack of Diggs or Dell and a CJ Stroud possibly. You could go Lamar Jackson and a Mark Andrews possibly. Are you looking for a stack here? How prevalent is that? That first pass catcher I get, whether it's hero RB or zero RB, the first pass catcher, first or second pass catcher I get, I'm always going to consider the stack. So say here we're coming up to receivers, you know, you're Stephon Diggs, Debo Samuel, DJ Moore, Jalen Waddle, Cooper Cup, DK Metcalf, Devontae Smith. I kind of have all those in a similar tier. To get any of those right now to pair with a quarterback, I could get a Diggs and a CJ Stroud. I don't know if I'm willing to pay that because I don't love the value of Diggs. Right. 100%. Right here, the most appealing one I would definitely say is Lamar Jackson and hope to get a Mark Andrews later on. But I'm actually not going to go for either of those. I'm going to go for a much more valued quarterback and a receiver that I do love who just got paid, which tells me the team is going to try to make him a vocal point of this offense. Unfortunately, other than his Tyreek Hill. But Jalen Waddle, he had a bad year last year, so we're getting a value of him this year. Very nice. I love that value on the fourth. And also just for the listeners at home, how much is too much at running back? So if you have, like I kept asking, is this a single flex? Because there's a single flex, that means you have all three of your starting positions. You can only start three running backs maximum. So that's why we limited it to three running backs there. He wouldn't go four running backs because he'd be drafting a player that won't be able to start for you over guys that have to start for you. Correct. Keep in mind your league settings and your roster settings when you're constructing your roster, especially if you're going to employ a specific strategy. So for me, following Jalen Waddle, we have a Sean White goal, which I don't love as much and have PPRs I do for. Stephon Diggs, Deebo Samuel, and then Mahomes and Hurts went back to back. So I won't be able to get the stack that I was pursuing. But keep in mind, I went zero RB. So I will not be going running back here either. For me here, according to my rankings, I'm really high on the Cooper Cup bounce back. So I'm looking at, and then I also looking at the receivers I have. I have the high floor, the high variance, you know, Tyreek Hill who can win you several weeks. Then I have the high floor guy, Devante Adams, who's one of the best, arguably the best in football. Then I have a high end tight end with Travis Kelsey. So for me, I think I'm going to try to balance it out and get a guy that's in arguably the best offense, one of the best offenses for sure. I'm really low on the Cooper Cup this year. I see D.J. Moore there, but I think there's more miles to feed having Keenan Allen on the roster and a rookie quarterback. I'm going to go with a veteran, Matt Stafford, Go Dogs, and Cooper Cup in that offense. So I'll take Cooper Cup here since Mahomes is no longer available. Following the Cup, we had D.J. Moore, Malik Neighbors, who's I think the same thing as Harrison Jackson, him near the ceiling, Devante Smith, and then Lamar Jackson. And now it's back to me. So I have three wide receivers, so that's going to fill the two wide receiver slots in my flex. So now I'm kind of forced to go quarterback or running back. Four pass catchers for the first four rounds. Oh, yeah. This is where you're starting to really scare me. This is where the zero RB static really gets scary. It's crazy because you have to anchor yourself with a running back that you can really depend on. How many running backs are left that are sure thing workhorses? There's not many. When you say workhorses, yeah, it's not a lot. Mixing, I think, will get a lot of volume, but I think that's a pass-first offense, even around the goal line with Dalton Schultz available and the way that they just construct that offense. I think it's tough, man. I see one guy down there that I'm a fan of I think will get a lot of work, and he's in a new office too, and Ken Walker, a guy that we both like a lot. If I were to play the ADP, well, I can't do that because I already have three receivers. So if there was a double flex, I would absolutely go DK Medcalf here and then also double down at wide receiver. But because that's not an option and I have the tight end position filled, I'm going to go with a running back that I know I can get consistent production from because I've neglected the position for the first four rounds. For here, I'm going to go with Ken Walker. Just based on volume, I'll take him over. James Cook, who I love except around the goal line because they take the ball out of his hands. And Alvin Kamara, who is just a check down Charlie recipient, basically. James Cook, he is one of the hardest players for me to really, I love him and then I hate him. I dropped him everywhere last year because when he pops, he pops huge. He has these 30-point games, these 100-plus yards where it looks effortless. And then he just disappears. And I think a lot of people last year in the playoffs are going to remember how he did people. Man, it's just crazy because they take him out on the goal line packages and obviously Josh Allen is going to get that touch. Josh Allen had, I believe, 15 rushing touchdowns last year. So that role and then they went and drafted Ray Davis from Kentucky who was a running back. Well, there's a path to him having production between the 20s and being really good on PPR because he's a really good pass receiver. But there's also a path to him having the same limitations he had last year. He ran for 1,000, but he was limited because he didn't get the goal line work. So I think with that in mind, I'm not going to anchor my team, my zero RB team around him as the focal running back. So what are people thinking here at pick nine of DeCedrin? Well, so after you, Trey McBride, DK Metcalf, who I was hoping would follow me, James Cook, CJ Shroud, Tank Dell went. This is where things get a little tricky. There's a guy here that I do like who I think will have his breakout year this year. And then we have a guy who has been around for a while, who's always produced, who's always been a sure thing barring injuries, and Keenan Allen. I love Keenan Allen. He's one of my all-time favorites. I think he's the smoothest route runner to ever do it. I agree. I think he's on the Mount Rushmore of route running. He always produces. When he hasn't been hurt, he's always produced. I love him. But again, he is going to fall victim to a rookie quarterback. And I just don't trust him. It's not Keenan Allen. It's a rookie quarterback, and it's all the mouths that feed. So unfortunately, I probably won't be drafting a lot of Keenan Allen this year. That hurts me to say. T. Higgins, we don't know what's going to happen to him. All the talent in the world, if he goes to the right system, or before the year starts, we'll rehash that then. But I do truly believe that George Pickens is going to break out this year. I love it. Same, man. Him and Ken Walker, I think, are your best mid-round values in this entire draft. Wow. Okay, a lot to say, and I 100% agree on that. I 100% agree on George Pickens, man. With that, you're also giving it him and Amari Cooper are close to each other. I love the value of Amari Cooper. What do you think about DeSean Watson there? Because last year, it was a lot of Flacco, man, not as much Watson. Do you trust Watson to have a bounce back at quarterback? Well, I don't trust Watson in taking me to the massage parlor, and I don't trust drafting him this year. So, no, I don't trust him. But I do believe in Amari Cooper's talent. He's a lot like—I think him and Keenan Allen are very similar in the way they play. They're both super technical route runners, ultra-athletic, can beat you in a lot of different ways. But, again, the Cleveland Browns are just the absolute worst franchise in the league, and they've proven that over and over again. Uh-oh. Yeah, and I'd stand by that pretty heavily. Okay. So here I am going to take my shot and take George Pickens. Love that pick, man. Love that pick in round five. That's great. Oh, he didn't give you George Pickens. He gave you Joe Nixon. Yeah, we're going to stop for a second. Hold up. Okay. There we go. Okay, so getting George Pickens was big. Love it. I learned that. Next pick, Dalton Kincaid, who I think that's really early for Dalton Kincaid this year. Yeah, round five, in the round five. Yeah. I love Kincaid this year, but I think that's a little rich for him. I do think there's a chance he's the number one receiver, number one target receiver in Buffalo. But I think it's got to be close to his ceiling, of course, even though I do like him a lot. But I love that you had George Pickens and Jaylon Waddell. Like the difference in style, the stylistic difference between the two, I think they complement each other really well. I'm Scott High on Pickens this year. I'll have him in a lot of leagues, of course. Go Dawgs. And then you get Amari Cooper, who's just Mr. Consistency. He's a target hog out there in Cleveland. I think him and Enzoku both have big years again this year. Cleveland did add Jerry Judy this year. Was him going to Cleveland? Man, I don't believe in Jerry Judy. I think Jerry Judy was supposed to be what Amari Cooper. He's supposed to be Amari Cooper lite, and he's just not. I just haven't seen it from him. I know he hasn't had great quarterback play in Denver. But they gave him a lot. They gave him like 50 million, 55 million, something like that. What is this? You're 4-5 for Jerry Judy? 4-5, actually. So I just don't see it, man. I don't know. I'm with Steve Smith Jr. on this one. I just don't. I think he's a mediocre receiver who got drafted early. Yeah, he got very overdrafted. I don't see it, man. So we'll see what they do. I won't have any Jerry Judy shares in fantasy. It's been 50 years. And not a lot. I won't have any Jerry Judy shares. I will have a lot of David Enzoku, and I'll have some Amari Cooper. I'm with you. Following Amari Cooper, and I love the way the team is shaping up, we have Aaron Jones, Keenan Allen, Tank Dale, Zay Flowers, and it is on Team 4. And then I will be making my next selection. Team 4 took James Conner. So it is on me employing the zero RB strategy. Just to recap, I started off with Tyreek Hill, Devontae Adams, Travis Kelsey, because I was going to try to go get the stack with Patrick Mahomes. Didn't work out. I ended up taking Cooper cut round four, which I love that value. And then Kenneth Walker was my single hero RB. My single running back. So I'm looking to get another running back to secure with Walker, because this is a single flex league. Both of my receiver spots are taken, as well as my flex. And my tight end spot is taken. So I'm looking at another running back or quarterback here. I see Anthony Richards in there, and I'm tempted because we know running quarterbacks are the cheat code for fantasy. I really should go there. As far as running backs, I have Kamara there. I would go Kamara if it was a full PPR, but seeing that it's half PPR, I'm a little lower on Kamara in that format. I see DeAndre Swift, who I'm not crazy about this year. I think that's going to be more of a, I think Roshun Johnson plays a bigger and bigger role over there. So I'm going to go based on ADP. I'm going to go Anthony Richardson. I'm going to get the upside of Anthony Richardson. Okay. I love it. Also, I would be afraid of seeing the guy that has Jonathan Taylor. You get Anthony Richardson as well. So I took Anthony Richardson. And then following that was Kamara, T. Higgins, Kyle Pence, Dwayne Addison. All right. So now I filled every starting position except for my second running back. So I'm definitely going running back here. Okay. Montgomery is the highest on ADP. I love him. I feel like he's touchdown dependent. I think Gibbs is going to take more and more of that backfield over this year. Right. So I probably won't be going Montgomery here. So with that though, you know, there's this Detroit style of running back. We have, we've, we've developed a pattern, you know, three years ago, two years ago, you had DeAndre Swift and Jamal Williams. No one wanted Jamal Williams. He was the touchdown dependent. And then look what he did. He had 20 touchdowns. So the next year, last year, I think they just upgraded. They upgraded the duo with Jameer Gibbs and James Montgomery. We forget. We're not far removed from David Montgomery being drafted in the first round. Coming out of Iowa state. He was the player in the draft that year. He was the one everyone was talking about who is getting the lottery. I think we're giving up on him a little bit too early last year for most of the year. I kind of got screwed in a trade in our, in our league where I ended up with David Montgomery. And I had, I had to play him and Jameer Gibbs at the same time. And I was very successful there. There is a world where two Detroit running backs are either running back twos or running back one and two. I would tell people to not be scared of drafting David Montgomery. I feel that way because I agree with you. He is touchdown dependent, but a world where he gets 15 touchdowns exists. And I think that's a role. Oh, that's fair, man. I like that. I like that breakdown from you. I have to go running back here. So it's going to be him. It's going to be Swift. I'm not drafting Tony Pollard. We can discuss that shortly. Najee Harrison there. Raheem Mostert's there. So I think you're skipping one. I think you're skipping one here that a lot of people are skipping. I think it's a fatal mistake this year. Oh, oh, oh, Ramondre Stevenson. Boomer Sooner, baby. Yes, Ramondre Stevenson. One year removed. I think game script matters. And I think that they're going to have a negative game script. The majority of the season, me and the losing team, or a team that's trailing, also losing. So I just, oh man, it's a tough spot. They were the worst off in the league last year, by the way. The Patriots were the worst team in the league last year. I don't think they're going to be much better. I think there's only one way to go from last year for them. But I think they'll be marginally better with Jake May, whenever Jake May gets the start. But until then, I will go with the safety and security of, oh, if you want to unpause it. I'm going to reach a little bit here. Okay, one moment. And I'm going to go with a guy I think is going to have a firm hold on the backfield. Jameer White here. I'm going to take him way early. And the reason I have to reach is because of the strategy I'm employing, which is the zero RB strategy. So zero RB does not literally mean no running backs, but it means relegating the running backs to one of the lower tier positions on your team, one of the lowest priority positions on your team. So I have Jameer White and Kenneth Walker, guys, I think are going to have the lion's share of the backfield as my starting running backs. And Jameer White, I love Jameer White this year. That could be a bit of a reach, but, you know, in a couple weeks from now we could be, why didn't we think of that? You know, he was the number one on an NFL team. Everyone says how talented he is. But, you know, he don't have Josh Jacobs in the roster anymore. Yeah, he has Alexander Madison. And Dylan Laube. Yes. Hold up now. After him we had Christian Kirk, who I really like. He is just a sure 10 point. He's a double-digit guy. David Montgomery, I just talked about him. Look at that team. Look at team four. McCaffrey, Kyron Williams, Derek Henry, Jalen Hurts, Trey McBride, James Connor. What a team. They had to anchor that team with a dependable number one receiver in Christian Kirk. So I love what team four is doing. And that's ideal. He is the epitome of 10 points. Yeah. He is 10 points. He's a walking 10. And, you know, team four is very similar to my build. Team four, team six, and team nine. We're all kind of the hero RV. Y'all are killing it. Y'all are killing it. So, loving that, man. After Christian Kirk, David Montgomery, I just talked about him. Evan Ingram, we'll see what he does again. See if he can repeat last year. I'm not a believer on it this year. Terry McLaurin, another Mr. Irrelevant who we're hoping at some point, at some point in his career has that blowup that we all think he can. But team seven has one receiver after seven rounds. That's terrifying. One running back. One running back. I'm sorry. And that's a Jameer Gibbs. Yeah. And that's a pass-catching running back. Yeah. I would advise against. Rasheed Rice, we don't know. How many games we'll play this year? We don't know. Okay. That brings me to me. I'm perfectly balanced right now. I got three running backs, three receivers. I put myself in a place now where I can kind of do what I want. I can wait and try to get a stack with either Jalen Wall or George Pickens. It won't be a Pittsburgh. I won't draft a Pittsburgh quarterback. And I won't draft Sean Watson either. So, I'm still going to probably play a long game here and try to pick up two a late. At this point, I'm going to really look at my tight ends, see what I got. Or I could take a chance. There's George Kittle. What do you think about George Kittle? Who I consider the best tight end in football, by the way. See, I agree with him as a talent. I agree with his personality. He's electric. And when he gets the ball in his hands, he makes things happen. George Kittle is one of those injury-prone type players to me. I always think of George Kittle, and I always think he's going to miss some time. Now, last year, he didn't. He was on the field most of the year last year. But he also had vanishing acts last year where he just didn't do anything at all. And then he would blow up for 30. I don't love George Kittle. He's one of the best ball fighters, in my opinion. He is. He is. I do think that there's the Jake Ferguson's later on. There's your DJ Dallas Godere, Dalton Schultz that are later on that I think are a better value. Okay. At this point where I'm at right now, being perfectly stacked, I'm going to try to go after depth. I'm going to stay with the depth game I'm playing. And I'm going to go with DeAndre Swift. Okay. And just continue to add these running backs onto my squad here. Nice. Nice. Here we go. I'm back on the clock. I'm going to continue to balance. And I'm going to go Calvin Ridley. Nice. So I'm Ridley over Hopkins. Yes. I believe in the youth. I believe in the talent. And it's time for Calvin Ridley to make it happen. He did that his second year in Atlanta. Since then, you know, obviously he got a little bit of trouble for going to Vegas, gambling a little bit. But it's time for him to show up. I think last year he wasn't really part of the game plan. I think he was just a shiny toy for Jacksonville and Trevor Lawrence to show off. I don't think they really import him the way they should have. Okay. I think that Will Leavis is ready to, you know, let that thing go. We all know he is. And I think Calvin Ridley is the guy for it. He's talented. Who is Jones like? I love it, man. Okay. Well, for me, I have, obviously I'm going to zero RB strategy. So I have my two starter running backs. So I'll be going wide receiver depth, kind of the opposite of yours. So I'm going to bypass Ramondre Stevenson, who's there, amazing value. I'm going to buy into a guy that I think will have a bounce back this year by default, Chris Godwin. He's a couple years removed from having a really big season consecutively. So I'm going to go there, just a little value, a little depth. Following my pick was Raheem Oster, Ramondre Stevenson that we talked about, Nigel Harris, and the outside of Xavier Worthy, who I know you disagree on. So I'm going to look at receiver one more time. And this is another guy I'll probably have on all of my rosters, if you want to unpause it. I'm going to select rookie Keon Coleman. I'm going to have him in, I think, every draft. I really believe in him. I believe in the opportunity created there by the abandoned targets. We have a lot of variable targets with the departure of Stephon Diggs and Gabe Davis. So we really have a lot of opportunity there for rookie Keon Coleman. So I'll be taking him in every draft. And I'm extremely wide receiver heavy now. It's the NFL team. Someone has got to take those targets. He's counted. Him and Kincaid, man. Him and Kincaid got to. But they picked up Curtis Samuel in the offseason. Curtis Samuel has been a guy for the last five years who has just kind of been a thorn in people's back when he was in Washington. It was Terry McLaurin's not getting the ball. He's a gadget player that every coach in the NFL loves. He does it all the right way. And I am a little afraid that, you know, come week two, Curtis Samuel is going to be a big waiver pickup. And that scares me with Keon Coleman, with him being a rookie. He does have top three quarterback play in the league. He has it all there. I'm a believer as well. But something that has stuck out to me here recently is seeing Raheem Mostert go so late in the draft. This happens every year with Raheem Mostert, every single year. Last year he was the number one, you know, after Christian McCaffrey, Raheem Mostert was a stand-alone guy. He was a top three running back. You think we're embracing the incoming of Devon Achan, and we are completely just riding Raheem Mostert off again? I think Mostert found the youth last year, and obviously he's in that great system. And I think that he just had everything going right. So I think with a little positive regression, we're going to expect that touchdown total to go from what was like 23 down to something more realistic. But even if he does, he's going to be great for fantasy. So he's a value no matter what. I do expect Devon Achan to get more touches there. That offense has the most speed. It's literally a track team everywhere. You have Waddle, you have Hill, you have a bunch of the fastest players in football. Raheem Mostert, who's literally a track runner. Jalen Wright, who's got four-three speed. There's nothing but speed all over the field. So any of those guys can be a one-touchdown guy. I would love to see the Miami Dolphins compete in the Olympics next year in the 400 relay. They could do it. They would be competitive. I think they're middle of the pack, but they would compete. They're that legit. They have so much speed on that team. It's fun to watch. It's fun to watch. Oh, absolutely. So what are you thinking here after the Calvin Whitney selection at the end of round nine? We're getting to kind of the tight end here that I always find myself in, the Brock Bowers, the David Njoku, and the Jake Fergusons. Brock Bowers, historically, rookie tight ends do not return value at draft. Now last year was kind of an outlier of the year. You had, what was it, four tight ends? Yep. That absolutely blew up with your Dolphin Kincaid, your Trey McBride, your Sam LaPorta. Luke Mothergrave kind of had his moments. Did not really return value, though. I'm going to follow the statistics here and stay away from Brock Bowers, probably. David Njoku, last year, he absolutely blew up. But people forget, that was Joe Flacco. That wasn't Sean Watson. That does make me nervous on David Njoku, and we have a big sample size of David Njoku in Cleveland, being overdrafted and not producing. Someone last year who did produce, came off the waiver wires, was your consistent five to nine targets a game was Jake Ferguson. Dak Prescott, historically, has always produced a number one tight end. I like it. I like his usage. I see myself with Jake Ferguson more than any other tight end this year. Yeah, I love Jake Ferguson. I do, too. I think with Zeke being washed and all four running back, I think a run in the goal line. No offense to Zeke, shout out to Zeke, Cowboys Ring of Honor, future Cowboys Ring of Honor. I think that they're going to be throwing around the goal line a lot. Obviously, I love Dak. I do mind a stack with Dak and Jake Ferguson, actually. I love it. I love it. You get the rushing up fly, you get the short pass, and all the touchdown upside up right there. So, yeah. So what are you going to do here? Brian Thomas and Lyle McCoskey, a couple of rookies, went after you to Team 10. So what are you thinking here after you filled this tight end void? I see a few players here that I do like. We started this with a plan when I did pick up Jalen Waddell, that we would stack him to a lower, and he is there, and I am going to take him. Nice, very nice. But if this was a real draft, seeing players like your Jackson Smichnaginia, I know I butchered that name, I cannot say it. It's all good. There's something in the water with sophomore receivers in the NFL. Somehow there's always a sophomore bounce back with his rookie tight end. We draft these rookie receivers, you know, with the expectations of them having a huge rookie year. A lot of times they do disappoint. They are rookies. So they fall the next year's draft. So you're getting them a sophomore at a much more realistic value, and they return that value a lot better. So I do love sophomore receivers. I love them. Noted. But I am going to skip him this year. I love him, and I love Christian Watson. Zach Moss, I do love Christian Watson. Zach Moss is supposed to be – Thank you for sticking with me this year. I agree. I really do agree. But what I'm going to do is I'm going to take my quarterback in a tenth round. A two-tug of aloha. Do you want a certain style quarterback? I know you're drafting him so you have that stack. But do you want a certain style of quarterback? Were you looking for like – with this strategy, are you looking to have a running quarterback to team with? I'm always going to go for running back. I think that Jalen Hurts – I think Jalen Hurts is the perfect – hear me out here. I think Jalen Hurts is the perfect fantasy quarterback. What he does – what he does is going to get you that rushing upside, that tush push, that – it's unstoppable. He's the best player in football. You can't stop him. He's a walking 20 points. He's always going to be a top five quarterback in fantasy football. He always will be. It's his style of play. He's a smart game planner. He gets the yards. He completes passes. He does everything you need. He's on a good offense, behind a great offensive line, and he's coached well. And I hate saying that because the Eagles are the absolute trailer park at NFL. I can't stand them. I can't stand their fans, but I love Jalen Hurts. Boomer sooner. I'm always going to say that Jalen Hurts and his style is the best style for fantasy quarterback. Okay. So where do you have him ranked, by the way? I have Jalen Hurts at number two. I have him two behind Allen. I'm the same way. Okay, got you. So for me here, I think the draft resuming. Last round I took Keion Coleman after I took Chris Gowen. So I'm going with the zero RB strategy. I'll fill both of my running back voids here. So I'm going to continue to draft receivers with a little running back mixed in. I'm going to take the best receiver I think available here. So I'm going to go JSN. I agree with you. I think that he's going to take over. I think Tyler Lockett's done. I think we're going to see more JSN this year and that new explosive offense. They're bringing that Washington Huskies style of offense. So I'm looking forward to seeing how that develops. I really thought a guy I'm going to be having on pretty much all my teams, Tajay Spears, was going to be back to me. But team two took him right after me. So Tajay Spears went after me, followed by Joku, Jordan Love, and Caleb Williams. It's back to me. And because I'm doing the zero RB strategy, the running backs I do have, I have to have high floor guys. I have guaranteed production. No safer pick this year in fantasy, in my opinion, than Mr. Zach Moss. So I'll be taking Zach Moss here for my running back. That is only my third running back in 11 rounds. I love it. I love Zach Moss. Zach Moss was given the opportunity last year in Indianapolis. And look what he did. Yeah, he did well. Yeah, he crushed it. For the first four weeks, I believe he was the number two running back overall. He was killing. I picked him up in our 507th week, man. He killed me because I had Taylor. You had Taylor. It worked out. And someone has to feel that Joe makes and roll. Yep. But with that, you know, there is a talented running back behind him. Chase Brown. Chase Brown is a very talented running back, very athletic. He's a great special teams guy. And the word out of the camp is that they love him. But I don't really see him just taking that spot. I just don't see that being realistic. I got you. Here I am, pick nine, in the 11th round. I'm very balanced here. I got four running backs, four receivers. I got my tight end, and I got my quarterback. At this point, I got my starting lineup. I'm not going to go so much for depth here. I'm going to go upside. Okay. And I'm going to start jumping some tiers. And I'm going to go with these guys that I have my gut feelings. Every year, you have your guys that you love. Take your swings, man. Take your swings. Because you're going to regret it. I knew that guy was going to go off. I knew this was going to happen. Yeah, right? You know, take those guys when you have those feelings. I'm not jumping crazy amount here. But I am going to go to the number one receiver in Green Bay. Oh, yeah. You've been saying that, man. I think you have him over Jaden Reed. I do. Did you? Wow. I do. If you're right, then you're getting such a big steal. I think in PPR format, he is going to be a great pickup. I love him. Yeah, I love that. This is half PPR. Yeah. I think if you're right on Romeo Dobbs, that's one of the biggest steals in fantasy. So, we'll have to see how that plays out. I agree. So, here we go. Back, Dalton Schultz went in the back of the 11th round. That's why I tell myself every year, I want to take my Travis Kelsey's. I want to take my Mark Andrews. Look what you're getting in the back of the 11th round. You're giving up so much value taking a tight end early. You're missing out on your DK Metcalfs. You're missing out on your Kenneth Walkers when you take those tight ends. That's what makes it scary because you see how far you can get one of these guys. My team had to suffer for it. Yeah. So, my team had to suffer for me going Kelsey early. If it was a double flex lead, I would not have gone Kelsey there. I would have went, you know, well, I guess one of the elite wide receivers and started off with four wide receivers. But, you know, we're just experimenting here just so listeners can have a view of some different strategies they might want to employ and what happens with each. What are you thinking here at the second pick of the 12th round? Okay. Blake Quarren went off the boards. I think it's going to be a lot of players are really going to hate him this year. I think he will absolutely get carried away. Wow. Okay. That's interesting. Okay. I'm going to continue with my strategy here and taking my shots and the players I love. And I'm going to jump down, and I know I've already talked about the worst franchise in the league in Cleveland. But opportunity of a number one running back is valuable with my whole strategy this year. So, in round 12, if I can take a number one running back for even, you know, five to six weeks, I think that value is worth taking. Absolutely. And I'm going to take Jerome Ford here. Love it. Love it. No one's really talking about Jerome Ford, man. No, they're not. I think he did really well last year considering. I think you're getting him basically for free. You are. So, up that value. You are. Is there any other number ones who are available right now, Gus Edwards? Just your guy, Zeke Elliott. Go Cowboys. I agree. We them boys. What running back was more exciting than 2016, Zeke Elliott? Man, that was only a couple, you know. How long ago was that? So, I love that pick from you. I love the way your team is setting up, by the way. I don't like the new RB thing, man. But looking back at my team, I have a lot of receiver depth. I went with the high upside, a sophomore, well, soon to be sophomore quarterback, Anthony Richardson. So, I'm going to secure that position with a guy I think is a lot safer at quarterback. I'm going to go Justin Herbert. Love it. I think that's going to be a very hyper-efficient offense. And I think, obviously, his talent, he's probably one of the top three most talented quarterbacks in the league. So, I'll have Justin Herbert just in case Anthony Richardson, he has sustained another injury, which is something that you have to factor in with running quarterbacks. Or if he just doesn't play well. So, then following my pick was Curtis Samuel and Courtland Sutton. Then Zach Charbonneau and Tyler Lockett, who I already told you was washed. So, I'm back on the board and I'm probably going to go, keep in mind we employing the zero RB strategy. So, I'm probably going to go with another depth piece here. Okay. You will never, ever get Justin Herbert in the 12th round again to everybody. Keep that in mind. This is the one and only you're getting him this round. Right. Take advantage of it. They're going to load up after this year, man. They will. They will. So, I'll take full advantage of that. I think we're going to go here. I'm going to go swing for some fences here and take the guys that we talked about. Just taking high upside guys. I see a guy like Kobe Myers there, who I think represents safety. Same with Mike Williams from touchdown upside. But I'm going to go with the young Xavier Leggett. I love it. Looking at the opportunity of having a receiver that's going to be high upside. That could be the next big thing of a receiver. So, I'll go there. And I have two more picks remaining for my front most likely kicker in defense. I love it. It's starting to come around. Murda, this is a player that I really wanted to talk about with you. What's he got, man? People kind of looked over his play last year. This receiver, bad quarterback play on a mid-range team in a weaker division. But towards the end of the year last year, this guy was totally overlooked last year and he carried people other than the championship week last year in the playoffs. He helped me a lot when Keenan Allen went down. But this player was absolutely electric with opportunity. Totally bursting the scene. He's an undrafted player, 24 years old, out of Weber State. Raheem Shaheed. Rashid. Shaheed. Rashid Shaheed. Yeah. The Weber State phenom. My only drawback with him is that quarterback situation. You know, I've got a lot of love for Derek Carver for fantasy. There's not a lot of upside there. Chris Olave is obviously the alpha there by a lot. And he loves to check down. So, that favors Alvin Kamara. I also can see Kendrick Miller getting some touches there. So, I just don't really see a lot of opportunity for him. I prefer him for best ball because I think he's a big play guy. His speed is legendary. So, I think that he's going to have, you know, three or four games where he puts up 20-something points. And that's going to be a product of a couple big plays. So, I prefer him for best ball over redraft, if that makes sense. I get it. No. Yeah. He reminds me not so much of style and size, but you're Gabe Davis. He's going to have your two touchdown weeks. He's going to catch, you know, three for two and 90 yards. He's going to have those weeks. Him and Josh Palmer here are two late-round receivers I really like. Love Josh Palmer. Josh Palmer is the number one in L.A. He is. Quinton Johnson, I hope. I hope for the sake of the Chargers franchise and where they drafted him, he does come back this year. But with what he showed us last year, you just can't. I don't think he's drafted at the beginning of the year. And the reports out of camp don't seem very growing for him. No. I'm hearing a lot of good stuff about my man, Lab McConkie, go dawg. Yes. But I just don't really see a path for him. I think it was just a bad draft investment. I agree. With Quinton Johnson going in the first. And my pre-draft evaluation, I didn't have a high-round grade. I had a third-round grade on him. I thought he was a possession receiver that was explosive. But I just didn't see him as a really complete football player. And he hasn't shown that he is a complete football player. But that's what being on a winning football team will do. You know, TCU was a winning team that year. They went to the national championship. That alone. Who did they play in that national championship? I forget. I forget. We'll have to look that up and get back to you on that one, man. I forget. I heard it was a great game, though. But that drove his stock. That made him a first-round pick. That happens. Alabama does it all the time. And I say that. But they do turn out a lot of great NFL talent. But look at your Eddie Lacy. He had a few good years. Trent Richardson. Look at Jerry Judy. They do have these guys they push out. Because they're on winning teams, you're going to get a first-round pick out of some of these guys. And I think that's what happened with him. Here, and that's something I wouldn't usually do. I'm not a two-quarterback guy. I don't love that. But I'm going to go with one of the goats here. And go for the upside. Aaron Rodgers, late. And stack him with my veritable quarterback. We don't have a whole lot of trust in. Oh, yeah. It was a big injury risk. So, it makes all the sense. Now, normally in 10-team leagues, you don't need to go two-quarterback. If you go two-quarterback, you can scream big time, especially in smaller leagues like this with 10. But, yeah, I love that pick, man. I think he's going to be a surefire thing. If you want to wait at quarterback, you can take Goff. You can take him. Herbert, obviously. There's so much late-round value at quarterback. That's another strategy I like to employ. I'm not afraid to not draft a quarterback at all. I'm not afraid to pick up a Nick Chubb and put on my RIR after the draft and pick up a quarterback later. I'm not. If I do it with any position, that's going to be the position. Yeah. And I love that in 10-team leagues where there's no bonuses. Now, keep in mind, your lead setup matters. Yeah, man. So, I saw you went Rodgers. What are you thinking here? Are you just going to go defense and kicker? Or what's your strategy here? Yeah, I'm going to go defense and kicker here. The most boring part of the draft. Who cares about this stupid defense and the kickers? I'm so over it. I'm actually a opponent to having one defensive player and an extra flex. I'm down. I think this is a flaw in fantasy football. The old heads in fantasy, they don't want to get rid of these two because whatever. Yeah. I'm fully in favor. Fantasy should be as fun as possible. There's not a lot of strategy to drafting kickers. No. I'm looking right now. I'm going to draft Dustin Carlson, a young way crew. Or Atlanta has a good offense. The Raiders offense stalls out around the goal line. So, I'll take Dustin Carlson as good as any kicker in the real life. It doesn't matter, though. I'll never hold on to a kicker. You know what I mean? No, no. I'm picking up a kicker on a good offense in a dome. That's what I care about. One of those two things. That's who I'm taking. Right. Yeah, and then for defense, I'll just take a defense. I stream defenses anyway. I just look for a good matchup and I just stream it. I'm the same way. Yeah, but make sure your settings. Review your settings and push to not have kickers in your league if you want to maximize the amount of fun. Fantasy is all about having fun. It's not about tradition. So, after tradition, get rid of kickers. Add individual defensive players. Just make it fun, man. The tradition is to play Fantasy. That's it. Yeah, Mike. Right. So, I went with the Raiders, of course, and the Raiders kicker. So, if we were going to recap some of these teams, you want to do yours first and recap what you have. I love the team you put together. Yep. Let's do it. So, again, this is the Hero RB style. This is my favorite style where, at the beginning of the draft, all of your lottery picks, your first three rounds, are workhorse running backs who are not in any kind of timeshare at the position. So, I was able to get Bijon number one over number one, Jonathan Taylor number two in the second round, and I paired him with Isaiah Pacheco in the third. So, that's 60 touches a week from my top three, and that's what I want. I want the floor play. I want the volume. With that, you wouldn't think I'd be able to get any high-end receivers. I was able to pull in a Jalen Waddell, a George Pickens, and a Mari Cooper. Man, that's crazy. Created the stack with Tua and Jalen. I got to look at Tua late in the draft. Last pass catcher in my lineup, Jake Ferguson, who I think is going to be a target hog in Dallas just like he was last year. Late in the draft, pick up DeAndre Swift, another heavy running back. Calvin Ridley, who I believe is the number one in Tennessee. Romeo Dobbs, the number one in Green Bay. Jerome Ford, a starting running back for the Cleveland Browns. And Aaron Rodgers as my backup. Just hoping that that New York offense turns into what they were supposed to turn into last year. I believe in Garrett Wilson, and I do believe in Aaron Rodgers as much as it's very popular not to like him. He is great. And when he's on the field, he always, always performs. Yeah, man. I love the team that you put together. I love that strategy, man. And if you're right on Dobbs, like look at the value. In round 11, you got a number one running back receiver. You got a number one running back in round 12 for at least half the year until Nick Chubb, Go-Dolls gets back healthy. If he gets back. Yeah, if he comes back at all. The two are stacked. Love it. Jake Ferguson, you know, we both agree, he's one of the most valuable tight ends, arguably the most valuable tight end this year, ADP-wise. So I just love the team you put together there, man. Yep, I got to say, I like him too. Yeah, for me, not as big a fan of my team, man. I had the third pick, and I went with the zero RB strategy. My strategy was to take non-running backs primarily and then fill in running backs as required, you know, later on in the draft. But I relegated running backs to one of the last priorities, and I prioritized pass receivers in other positions. So I started off with Tyreek Hill, the highest upside, with the most variance. He's your week winner. Yep, and then I went with Devontae Adams round two. So I went with the high floor in round one. I'm sorry, the high ceiling round one, high floor round two. Then I went Travis Kelsey round three, because I was going to try to get Patrick Mahomes. I played an ADP game to get Patrick Mahomes round four. Didn't work out, so I took Cooper Cupp, who I think has a huge bounce back this year. I think there's two number one receivers in L.A. this year. There is. Kenneth Walker is my main running back round five, my very first selection. This is a single flex league, so I'm not going to draft bench players before starters, so I had to get a running back. I went with Kenneth Walker, a guy I believe is going to have a lot of volume in that high-volume offense. Then I went Anthony Richardson, a running quarterback, to lift my floor on my team since I have a deficiency of running back. And then I went Damir White, another guy I think is going to have the lion's share of that offense as far as carries go. Then I went three straight wide receivers with Chris Godwin, Keon Coleman, and Jackson Smith and Jigba, just to support the strategy, the zero RB strategy. Then I went with Zach Moss, just because I feel like he's the safest player in fantasy, and I need a backup running back that's going to be really high floor. When you have a strategy like this, you have to have high floor players at the more scarce positions. So then I went Justin Herbert to secure my rising sophomore, Anthony Richardson, who's coming off of an injury. I went the upside of Xavier Leguette, and then I took a kicker in the defense, which is boring. Take kickers out of football, fantasy football. They're not needed. So if you look around these teams, is there any other teams whose strategy, like rosters you like a lot? Ironically, it's all the rosters that kind of have the same strategy as I do. It's all the running back heavy teams. That's what makes you feel comfortable. They are your safety blanket. They're going to tuck you into bed on Friday night telling you the weekend's going to be good, and it's okay. We got you. We're going to carry you into the next week. We'll get you a win. That's a team you don't – look at Team 4. You don't want to see that team on the schedule. No, you do not. Christian McCaffrey. Oh, no. Jalen Hurts. No. Like you have – look at that. The receivers are – And they don't have the safety of Christian Kirk. Yes, Christian Kirk. Who knows what Roma's going to do this year? We talked to Christian Watson. We both like Christian Watson. Jamison Williams, is this the year? Is this the year? We talked about that coming from a winning team and not quite reforming it. I guess you could kind of say he is one of those players as of now. But when he touches the ball, the chances of him scoring a touchdown are very high. Man. He has a weird knack for catching a ball and scoring touchdowns. But, you know, he has a few off-the-field issues. Hopefully he turns it around, and I do believe in him, and I believe in that offense too. Detroit – I love all the pieces in Detroit this year. Everyone, that's going to be a really good offense. You have Jared Goff. If you don't go quarterback early, take Jared Goff late. He'll just be safe for you. He'll be around 20 a game. Our team, low 20s a game. Just draft him and forget about it. Yeah. First three games for Goff this year are all at home. They're all inside. I believe two of the three are at home. I'm just verifying that right now. Wow. And the splits of Josh – All his home road splits. His home versus outdoor splits are nuts. Are insane. Yeah. He is so good at home. So, picking him up early, he is going to create so much trade value. I guarantee you. Oh, yeah. I guarantee you, you can turn him into a Dak Prescott. You can turn him into a – I don't know. A LeMondre Stevenson or something like that. You know what I mean? Yes. Yeah, man. Yeah. He opens up versus the Rams. That should be fun versus former team. Then he has Tampa Bay and then at Arizona. Then he has another home game against Seattle. Oh, man. That is juicy. So, three out of the first four are at home before bye week. He's probably my favorite draft day quarterback. Yeah. This year. You don't have to think about it. If you can resist the temptation to go on quarterback early, go Goff late, man. It's not bad. It is not a bad strategy at all, man. So, I do like your strategy. I got to say, if you had to pick out of the two, which one are you leaning towards? Easily going the running back strategy, man. Lace your team with running backs. You're going to be able to find upside with wide receivers all throughout the draft. You can't just find number one running backs everywhere, man. Guarantee yourself touches. Guarantee yourself volume. Anchor your team with a good quarterback or at least a rushing quarterback, if you can't get Jared Goff. And then you just guarantee yourself a chance every week. So, I think that's the best strategy, man. Moving forward, we're going to try different strategies. Just to kind of see, give you guys a feel for what works, what doesn't work, and maybe some strategies you want to try to use in your upcoming drafts. I think we did it. Yeah, man.
