Eddie addresses the congregation, celebrating Elaine's 50th anniversary and reminiscing about meeting her husband, Mark. He discusses disappointment over a shooting incident and the importance of supporting youth and those doing God's work. He mentions prayer requests, updates on members, and make light-hearted comments. The session closes with prayers for various concerns and plans for future teachings.
Elaine, happy anniversary Elaine, 50 years. Give her a round of applause. Can you tell us how you met Mark? Because he told us and I don't want to make sure the stories are the same. No, no, that's later. High school, you were a youngster. Y'all have a good vacation. Put you on the prayer list. How many of you are disappointed this week that a person that said out loud what we believe got shot? I can hope so.
What a wonderful wife. What a wonderful wife. And we would love to see a revival in our youth, wouldn't we? And I think our role as the senior adults, not all of you are senior, Diana, I just put you in. I know, I know, you're getting there. Yeah, wear and tear, it shows up, I know. We have our role, prayer and resources for those that are out and about doing the Lord's work. We appreciate it. Pray for our country.
Pray for those that are in leadership for sure. Belinda Miller, she's on the prayer list. She has a surgery this week on her back on Wednesday, September 17th. Y'all remember Belinda? She was here last week. Anybody else? It's good to see Charlie and Wendy back from the beaches of Aruba. I'm glad you didn't take one of those boats that President Trump shot. It's pretty close down there, isn't it? Outside of Aruba, outside of Venezuela. You can see it on a clear day? You see the smoke on a clear day? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to go that way.
Steve Puckett, good to see you this morning. Glad you're here. Give him a round of applause. That's pretty feeble, Steve. I'm sorry. Come back next week. Yeah, yeah. I love it. I love it. Thank you for being here. Brother Jimmy, we're glad you're here. Brother Jack, you did a wonderful job. I know that all Levites... I messed it up already. All priests are not... Charlie, all priests are Levites, but not all Levites are priests. That's what we learned last week.
I like to never get it out, Brother Jack. I did get it right. We learned about three things, the three Ms. I made this up after you left. I said, this is the three Ms. The Levites were in charge of ministry, they were in charge of music, and they were in charge of maintenance. I'll let you use that next time. Three Ms. You can steal that for a sermon. It was good. So, are you closing out Joshua today, or we got another week? No, three weeks.
Three weeks, and then we'll be moving on. Headed to Hebrews again. Sounds good. Love it. All right, let's go to the Lord in prayer and ask His blessings on the class. Heavenly Father, we recognize the memorials we saw this week, memories of what happened years ago, and things that happened just this week. We pray, Father, for the youth of America, those who run this country. We know it's in good hands with some of them that we see and recognize.
We pray, Father, that You'll help us to do our part to provide prayer and resources and support for those around us. It's our world, and we want to keep it in Your name until You come. We pray, Father, for Brother Jimmy today as he teaches. Help him, strengthen him. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
