The speakers on the Couch Party Podcast discuss their favorite TV channel from their childhood, Treehouse. They reminisce about the shows they loved, such as The Backyardigans and The Octonauts. They also mention their favorite characters from these shows, like Pablo and Austin. They talk about some of their favorite episodes and mention some underrated shows like Roly-Poly-Oly and Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs. They also briefly mention Blue's Clues and their thoughts on the show. Lastly, they mention their least favorite TV show from Montreal, which is Caillou. Hello everybody, this is the couch party podcast. My name is Cody. My name is Matt. And I'm Crosby. Today, we're going to be talking about the TV channel Treehouse. Y'all remember that? When you were kids, you stayed at home and you watched some Treehouse. That was a banger. Every time. That was the best ever. Or you'd watch it at the dentist's or the doctor's. Anywhere. Everywhere. Dude, top like 10 channels of all time. Like, especially for kids, I'd say that's like top one. Yeah. And even though, if we were to go back and watch some of the shows, they wouldn't be as great as we remember. Old Treehouse was the best. Yeah. They remade shows and relaunched them. And they just, they were all so much better back in the day. Definitely. We tried too hard. I know. And they try and use our humor and whatever. And it's just, it's cringe. But you watch it. The old ones and all. Yeah. Like, the back cardigans. Oh my gosh. That was so good. I loved that show so much. Easily my favorite. Pablo, the blue penguin, the best. And you can't tell me otherwise. Pablo, huh? Pablo was the best? Absolutely. What about Tyrone? Nah, bro. The only other person that's close was Austin because he was a purple kangaroo. How can you not like that? A kangaroo, right? Yeah. My favorite show was 2 P.M. Universe. Aw, dude. What a classic. Aw. Especially with the little cat that can literally do anything he wants. Dude, I know. He was more powerful than the mouse for sure. Yeah, yeah. I think my favorite show was the Octonauts. Dude, aw, I loved that show. That's where I learned all my ocean knowledge. Yeah, yeah. It was fun. I watched my favorite. The Daredevil Cat. The Daredevil Cat? Wow, bro. Penguin for life. Come on now. The Daredevil? Yes. I love that guy. The cat? Mine's also a cat. Mine's a little white cat. Nah. Penguins are better than cats. Don't even start. Penguins? Yeah. Come on now. Like, they're cute. When you have them as your favorite character in a little kid's TV show, you know, it's pretty obvious and all. I'm just saying. What was your favorite character in your show, P-9? 2 P.M. Universe? I always hated Beedle. Beedle was amazing. Little, short, white cat that can do anything. Especially my favorite episode. Favorite episode was when they started eating vegetables. Oh, I think I remember that. I'm not gonna lie. Beedle ate the magic bee. It grew, and then somehow they transferred to a whole new world. Yeah. Dude, that's like the only episode I actually remember. That's so weird. Started eating an entire mountain, bro. Yeah, I swear it was something like giant broccoli. Yeah. He was running from it. Broccoli was the trees. He started just picking up the trees, eating them. He climbed the mountain and started eating the mashed potato mountain. The best episode by far. Oh, 100%. What about you, Crosby? I liked an octopus. There was this one episode. I don't know the name, but they got this big, you know those little submarines they use? Yeah, yeah. From like the octopod or whatever? Yeah, yeah, yeah. There was this really big one. It was a crab. I thought that was the coolest thing ever. I think it was the chrysalis one, because it like crashed. Yeah. And then those little vegetables got to come rescue everybody. Like the little turnips? Yeah. I thought that. Yeah. That was my favorite. Oh, yeah. Pretty good, pretty good. What about you, Cody? You got a favorite episode? Episode? Honestly? Any episode with Austin in it, because, you know, second best character. Where Austin is the hero. The second best character, when he shows up, you know, it just kind of livens things up a little bit. Austin and Pablo like to duel? Oh, honestly, bro. Like, come on now. What about the most underrated show you think, Cody? Oh, man. You know, I really like Roly-Poly-Oly. I don't even really remember it. I just remember liking it. And there is this... It reminded me of Diary of the Wimpy Kid for some reason, because I feel like Rowley was like the box-headed guy or something. I don't know. Rowley? Rowley, yeah. Rowley from Diary of the Wimpy Kid. I don't know. I just feel like they were some sort of similarities. What about you? My favorite? Our most underrated show was Deathly Harry and his bucket full of dinosaurs. Oh, my gosh. Oh, I remember that. That was a great show. Imagine, like, being your own force with your dinosaurs, where you don't solve problems with your dinosaurs. So cool. The little dinosaurs that like you. And how they can transfer to big dinosaurs or small dinosaurs inside the bucket. That was awesome. That was so good. What about you, Gradsby? I liked Blue's Clues. That's the one I always watched at the dentist or even in the car. Yeah, yeah. You know the little screen that can fall down? Yeah, yeah. I don't remember much. I just remember thinking it was like such a death show. I think, yeah, I have no idea what they did. Just a blue dog? I think, I'm assuming it was like a detective or something, Blue's Clues. Oh, yeah. A guy that's a blue dog or a detective? Yeah. It was like, there was like a real guy and then like animated. He was like in the animation. I don't know how they did it, but I thought it was great. Yeah, the self-crimes, eh? Yeah. I always had dreams about getting this blue dog with me. I could like go to the dentist and buy this blue dog and go self-crime. I never watched it, but I've heard good things, especially from you, so. What is one thing that you'd say about your character? Your favorite character? What's one thing you'd say to them? That I would say to them? Yeah, what's something you would like to say to them? Pablo, you're the GOAT, and you're so much better than all the other Backyardigans. That's all I'm saying. Did you hear that? Yep. 100%. Pablo. What? You got a problem. I would say that he is the best in the world. He can take on anyone. Anyone. Bro can transform into a giant and just squish everyone. Bro Solo. Who are you, Crosby? Quasi, I guess. Who's that again? He's the cat. The daredevil cat. The cat. Quasi. He's the only one with any backstory going that way. They put a lot of effort with him. He's one of the main three. You know, like there's like Captain Barnacle placed on him. I think he's just too reckless sometimes. I got so frustrated when he'd do stupid things. He's one of those ones that don't really think that much and just go ahead and do it. But then in case he'll kind of like bail him out, because he's the best. I'm just saying. He's the leader, right? No. Captain Barnacle? That's not even the name, Pablo. He's the leader. He's the owner. Yep. On three, boys, I want you to say your least favorite TV show outside of Montreal. Least favorite? Least favorite, yeah. One, two, three. Caillou.
