The Minnesota Timberwolves have a strong roster with players like Anthony Edwards, Carl Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert, and Nas Reed. They have been performing well this season, with Edwards averaging 25 points per game and Towns averaging 21 points per game. The team has a 23-7 record and has been winning games consistently. The Boston Celtics, on the other hand, have a 25-6 record and have been dominant at home, winning all 16 of their home games. Their key players include Jason Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, and Jalen Brown. Overall, both teams have been successful this season and are performing better than last year. Hello everyone, and welcome back to AKTalksMBA. Today I'm going to be talking about how the Minnesota Timberwolves are doing so good. So to start, I'm going to go over their roster. Their roster is Anthony Edwards, Carl Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert, Jaden McDaniels, Mike Conley, Nas Reed, Kyle Anderson, Luka Garza, Shaq Milton, Nicole Alexander-Walker, Nikhil Alexander-Walker, Leonard Miller, Troy Brown Jr., Jalen Clark, Dasha Nix, Jordan McLaughlin, Josh Minnope, and Wendell Moore Jr. So they have a pretty good team. They have Anthony Edwards, Carl Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley, Nas Reed. Nas Reed is really good. He's like a young center, and he's really good. So I'm going to go over all their points, and then compare them to last year's points. Then I'm going to tell you guys how they're doing better. And then we're also going to talk about the Boston Celtics. Later in the video. Not video. Podcast. New to YouTube. Now, Anthony Edwards, this year, he is averaging 25 points. His field goal percentage is 45.6. His three-point percentage is 38.1. He has 5.5 rebounds per game, 5.3 assists per game, 1.4 steals per game, and 0.5 blocks per game. In his whole career, he's averaged 22 points per game. So Anthony Edwards, he's pretty good. Carl Anthony Towns. He is averaging 21 points per game. His field goal percentage is 50.8. His three-point percentage is 41.0. So he has a higher three-point percentage than Anthony Edwards at the center position. That's crazy. He did win the three-point contest a couple years ago. Rebounds per game, 9.3. Assists per game, 2.9. Steals per game, 0.8. And blocks per game, 0.6. This is not his best season since he's averaged 23 points per game in his whole career. But he's still doing pretty decent. Next is Rudy Gobert. Here, on the Minnesota Turtles, he's been averaging 12.9 points, so 13 points. His field goal percentage is 62.0. His three-point percentage is 0.0. His rebounding is 12.0. He gets 12 rebounds per game, how about that? 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals, and 2.2 blocks. In his whole career, he's averaged 12 points. So Rudy Gobert, he's Rudy Gobert, okay? Next is Jaden McDaniels. This year, he is averaging 10 points per game, well, 11 points per game because it's 10.9. 54.8 field goal percentage, 38.3 field goal percentage, 2.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.7 blocks. So he is doing pretty well this year. Everyone's doing well because they're the ones to see. Next is Mike Conley. This year, he is averaging 11 points, 46.8 field goal percentage, 45.9 three-point percentage, 2.8 rebounds per game, 6.2 assists per game, 1 steal per game, and 0.1 blocks per game. He is actually doing really well. Except 11 points, he used to average like 30 points per game on the, well, 20 points per game or something like that. But still, that's pretty decent. And Nas Reed. Nas Reed, this year, he is averaging 12 points, 12.6 points per game. His field goal percentage is 49.6, I think, yeah, according to my notes. And his three-point percentage is 40.1. He gets 4.5 rebounds per game, 1 assist per game, 0.7 steals per game, 0.5 blocks per game. So this is his best season by far. He is 100% underrated. He's played since 2019, and he is just going nuts this year. He's super good, and he is one of my favorite players. We're just going to go over maybe one or two more, and then we'll move on to talking about their game plan. So next is Kyle Anderson. This year, he is averaging 7 points per game, 45.8 field goal percentage, 13.03 point percentage, which is pretty bad. 3.7 rebounds per game, 3.9 assists per game, 0.7 steals per game, and 0.8 blocks per game. So he is doing decent. Not the best, but decent. In his career, he's averaged 12 points per game. So now we're going to do one more, which we're going to go to Jordan McLaughlin, since I know his name. This year, okay, maybe not him, because he's averaging 1 point per game. How about Luca Garza? This year, he is averaging 2 points per game. His field goal percentage is 33.3. His take-home percentage is 0.0. He gets 1.2 rebounds per game, 0.3 assists per game, 0.0 steals per game, and 0.0 blocks per game. He's getting such bad numbers because he's getting 3 minutes of play time. So they're doing good. Like, he could get 20 points per game if he played a whole game. But he's just not doing his best because they're not playing him enough. But a question that I've always asked is, is Luca Garza in NBA 2K24? He is. He has one badge, and he is better at outside scoring. That's surprising because he has a 0.03 point percentage, but eh. So now we're going to go over their game plan. So their game plan... Well, let's just talk about some news that just came in. They play the Lakers tonight at home, so they're probably going to win. Yeah, there's just a bunch of predictions about that. But let's go over their latest games. Yesterday, wait, not yesterday, the 28th, they beat the Mavericks by 8 points. On the 26th, what a good matchup, Timberwolves-Thunder. And if you check the standings, you don't really need to because I'm telling you the truth. The Timberwolves and the Thunder are at the top. So, yep, they are doing well this year. And the Thunder beat them by 23 points. Then, the game before that, they beat the Kings 1-10-98, so 12 points. The game before that, they beat the Lakers 1-18-11, so 7 points. On Wednesday, the 20th, they won against the Sixers and they lost by 14 points. Then they won against the Heat before that and they won by 4 points. So, they're doing well this year, very well this year. And I'm just going to tell you guys the first game they played the whole season. In this whole season. And it is... Let me find it. There we go. So, the first game they played, they won by 10 points. It was 121-111, they won against the Heat. That was the first game they played. And yeah, that's what's going on with them. They are 23-7 this year. They are 16-4, C-O-N-F. Home, they're 13-1. Away, they're 10-6. Their winning streak is 1. So, let's check on the Warriors' winning streak. Lost 2. Okay, they do not have a winning streak. The Celtics, they've won 5 games in a row. So, they were 20-6 and now they're 25-6. The Bucks this year are actually doing really well as well. We're going to get to the Celtics in a couple minutes now. But, so now we're going to get back to the Timberwolves. So, how are they doing that good this season? Because last year, they had the exact same roster. But they got Mike Conley halfway through the season, so that might be why. They had Nas Reed. They had Kerr-Anthony Towns. They had Anthony Edwards. Rudy Gobert. They had pretty much the same roster. And I don't think they've really changed their roster. And they're doing way better this year. So, let's check how they did last year. Last year, they were the 8th seed. They were 42-40 the whole season. And their biggest winning streak was 3. This year, their biggest winning streak is 6. So, they are doing really well this year. So, I love the Timberwolves. They're a great team. They have such a young team, too. I think their oldest player is Kyle Anderson, Mike Conley. Mike Conley is definitely their oldest player. And they have Rudy Gobert. Kerr-Anthony Towns isn't really that old, but Kyle Anderson is a little bit. But they're still good, and they are not that old. They have like 3 old players, and the rest are all young. So, yeah, that's how they're doing. Now, we're going to move on to the Boston Celtics. This year, the Boston Celtics are 25-6. Right now, home, they are 16-0 at home. 16-0. They are on a 5-game winning streak. They are going nuts. Oh, the Heat are on a 4-game winning streak. That's cool. So, they are doing really well this year. Let's check out their players. They actually got rid of Grant Williams. And they got, I think it was, I'm trying to think of who it was. I think it was just a couple people that no one really knew. And they traded Grant Williams somewhere. But, yeah. Now, we're going to check out the Boston Celtics roster. They have Jason Tatum, who actually just recently launched Gummies. So, go check those out. Kristoff Sporting Gifts, Drew Holliday, Jalen Brown, Derrick White, Nemus Quinta, I don't know who that is, Payton Pritchard, Jordan Walsh, Al Horford. Al Horford is, like, what, 4 years old? He still plays good. Sam Hauser, Delano Banton, OJ Brissett. He's actually pretty good. Lamar Stephens, and Drew Peterson, and Jared Earian. I can't say his name. These names are hard. But, oh, they also have Derrick White. I didn't tell you that. He's actually doing well this season. So, we're going to go over all the players that are pretty decent in their points per game. So, Jason Tatum, this year he is averaging 27 points per game, 47 field goal percentage, 34 point percentage, 8.4 rebounds per game, 4.4 assists per game, 1.1 steals per game, and 0.5 blocks per game. His whole career he's averaged 22, so this is his best season that he's averaging, so he is really good. Next is Christoph Sporzingis. He is averaging 20 points per game, 53 field goal percentage, 34.23 point percentage, 7.1 rebounds per game, 1.7 assists per game, and 0.8 steals per game, and 1.7 blocks per game. He was recently injured, so, yeah. He's doing well this year with 20 points per game. Next is Drew Holiday. He just joined them, or not just. When Gaming Alert happened, they traded Drew Holiday in a three-way trade. This year's averaging on the Celtics, 13.1 points per game, 45.9 field goal percentage, 42.03 point percentage, 6.6 rebounds per game, and he's a point guard, 4.7 assists per game, 0.9 steals per game, and 0.8 blocks per game. So he's doing pretty good this season. And, yeah, that's him. Next is Jalen Brown. This year he was averaging 22 points per game, his field goal percentage is 48.4, field goal percentage is 35.1, rebounds is 5.1, assists 3.7, steals 1.1, and blocks 0.6. He's doing great this season. He is going to improve throughout. And next is Derek White. He recently shaved his head. I liked his hair better before. But he's averaging 17 points per game, his field goal percentage is 48.6, point percentage is 41.3, rebounds per game 3.9, assists per game 5.3, steals per game 1.2, and blocks per game 1.3. So he is doing well this season. He's been doing well last season as well when he joined the Celtics. But, yeah, that's Derek White. And then we're going to go down to Al Horford, and then I'll be talking about their team. So this year Al Horford is averaging 7 points per game, his field goal percentage is 47.4, field goal percentage is 38.0, his rebounds per game is 7.7, assists per game 2.8, steals per game 0.5, and blocks per game 1.0. He's doing well, except this isn't his best season because his whole career he's averaged 13 points per game and he's played since 2007. That's crazy. By the way, Marcus Smart is not in the Celtics anymore if you didn't know that he's on the Memphis Grizzlies. So that's actually going to be our next podcast about the Memphis Grizzlies, and if they're going to do better with John Rhett. We're just going to go one more, OJ Brissette, and maybe one more after this. But OJ Brissette, he's on the team, 3 points per game, he gets 18 minutes per game, which is pretty good. But 3 points per game, his field goal percentage is 48.5, 3 point percentage, 37.5, rebounds per game, 2.5, assists per game 0.5, steals per game 0.3, and blocks per game 0.0. Pretty good. He's doing pretty good. And then we're going to go to Peyton Pritchard. He averages, he's 20 minutes per game, 7.4 points, his field goal percentage is 41.0, his 3 point percentage is 38.8, his rebounds per game 3.2, assists per game 2.9, steals per game 0.4, and blocks per game 0.1. So yeah, that is Peyton Pritchard. Now we're going to go over how they are doing so good this season. So they're on a 5 game winning streak, who are they winning to? So they have been winning, it is, they won last night against the Raptors by 2 points, going against the Pistons on the 28th Thursday, they won by 6, 128-122. Next is Celtics, they beat the Lakers by 11, 126-115 on Christmas Day. Follow me if you like Christmas, I bet everybody follows me if they like Christmas. They beat the Clippers by, oh my gosh, they won 145-108, that's ridiculous. Against the Clippers? Let's check out the Clippers roster, the Clippers roster isn't bad. They have James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Zubop. How are they doing bad? I don't know. But I'm freaking out. But yeah, and then, I don't know if I went over all of them, and then they won against the Kings 144-198, what the heck? Okay, let's check the Clippers, what was the box? Okay, they all averaged like 20 points, okay. And then the Kings game, Sam Houser had 10 points, that's pretty cool. He actually started. Oh, Tatum didn't play that game, and they still destroyed it, that's crazy. I didn't see Tatum play. It must be funny. But yeah, then they lost to the Warriors because of Steph Curry hitting those game winners. But they lost to the Warriors by 6 points on the 19th. But, before that they won, oh my gosh, they won five games in a row again. And then there was that new in-season tournament, they lost to the Pacers. And the Pacers ended up losing to the Lakers, which I was not happy about. But I mean, I'm happy for the ones, what's cool about that is that the Lakers, LeBron James and Anthony Davis don't really need $500,000, but to the, because they have millions and millions, but to the bench players on the other side, the bench warmers, $500,000 to them, if they have like a 2 million contract, that's really valuable. Because it's like $2 million for one year, and they get $500,000 in one day, that's really cool. So, that was nothing about the Celtics, but I still wanted to tell you guys that. Sam Hauser, I just want to see how many points per game he gets. Oh yeah, I took notes about it. He's averaging 8.5 points per game, 44.4 field goal percentage, 41.2% from three, 3.6 rebounds per game, one assist per game, 0.5 steals per game, and 0.3 blocks per game. So this is his best season, out of the three seasons he has played this year. Not, three seasons he's played in his career. He is doing pretty well. Luke Cornett, if you've ever heard of that thing where he can block from the three point line, when you shoot a three, he can jump so high, he can block it, that is true. He has a giant wingspan. He has been in the league for a while, well 2017, so seven years or so. But they are doing pretty well. Cornett did really well last night, apparently. But yeah, that's them. They are doing well. That is the Boston Celtics. They have a really good team, and I think they might win the championship this year. It's just, I want Tatum to get a championship, but I also really want Dan to get a championship. Then again, just because he goes to a team that has won a championship, doesn't mean he has to win a championship, because that's kind of cheating. But, I also really want Chris Paul to win a championship, before he retires in the next two to three years. Because, I just really want him to win a championship, because he's been playing his whole, how long has Chris Paul been playing? Did I take notes about this? I did. Okay. He is averaging eight points per game this year. He's played since 2005. So he's played, he's 38 years old, and he's played for 18 in 2024, will be 19 years. Brandon Potoskemski, I can't say his last name. He is underrated. He's actually good. But, because he got drafted this year, but he's actually good. So, yeah, that is the, that is the podcast for today. Make sure to follow me, if you're on YouTube, make sure to subscribe, and I will see you, and another one should come out tomorrow. And, if you're wondering why I keep, why you keep hearing this, it's because, I'm clicking to my Google Docs form, that has my notes. So yeah. See you tomorrow. Well, not see you, but I will, you will hear me back tomorrow. Have a good day.
