Stuart Hampton shares his personal journey into the hippie lifestyle and culture, driven by his fascination with cosmic concepts and the exploration of time, space, and reality. He emphasizes that his book is based on his heartfelt feelings and opinions, not intending to preach or judge. His journey began at age 15, when he was drawn to the hippie culture and started embracing its values through music, meditation, yoga, and vegetarianism. Studying psychology in university further solidified his perspective, and he found a community of like-minded hippies. Hampton expresses his commitment to peace and love as the ultimate purpose in life, as it aligns with his innermost self and makes the most sense to him. Hi there, my name is Stuart Hampton, and I am someone who has always been drawn to the hippie lifestyle, hippie culture, cosmic considerations, and the exploration of time, space, and reality. This book is based on feelings and opinions I have, which come from my heart. I'm not trying to preach or to judge. It's all just feelings I have about things. These feelings all started to really begin to take shape when I reached the age of about 15, and I started to be drawn into the vibrations from the golden egg that is the hippie culture. I started listening to the Beatles, I smoked a lot of pot, I started meditating and doing yoga, and I started to learn to play the guitar and became a vegetarian. I then went to university and did a degree in psychology and eventually met a load of hippies who shared my perspective in life, and slowly things started to fall into place. I started exploring who I was by wearing colorful clothes and being more certain about whose team I was on in this world. I decided that peace and love was where it was at, and that for the rest of my life, I would be committed to this cause. As to my heart and my innermost self, it was all that made any sense. It was the only sane aspiration to have, as far as I could see.
