Minimalistic synthesized sounds. Awaiting lift off. I really like the synth in Obscured by Clouds, and the electric piano in Riders On The Storm. I wanted the harmony to stay relatively static, create tension and build gently, waiting. How long can you sustain just one chord? The electric piano introduces a floating melody , the bass begins to throb pulsing on one note. Everything changes with a counterpoint of two melodies panned separately at each side.
