This song is the end of a book entitled "BLUEs" about of the former ruins of the Bârnova Monastery - a Romanian Orthodox monastery located in Bârnova, Iași metropolitan area, Romania. The well-known decisive influences of the Ottoman Empire on this monastery, well hidden in the woods, gave me the opportunity for a compositional structure with a Byzantine flavor, but with a rhythm that would highlight specific accents of local Romanian folklore.
