LeBron James deserves respect as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. While Michael Jordan was a better winner overall, LeBron's statistical and skill set make him unique. Comparisons to Kobe Bryant do not hold up, as Kobe was a selfish teammate and had lower shooting percentages. LeBron has consistently performed well in the playoffs and has been a factor in the NBA playoffs every season. Despite not having all-time great coaches, LeBron's greatness should be appreciated. He is a dominant player with a unique combination of size and athleticism. People need to respect LeBron James. LeBron is the GOAT. Again, Michael Jordan was dominant. He was a better winner overall in his career. But, we've never seen a player statistically and skill set as gifted and dominant as LeBron James. Now, people want to talk about Kobe Bryant being number two all-time and not LeBron. I have a big issue with that one. Kobe was great. But, Kobe was also a selfish teammate. He shot the ball 20 to 25 times a game easily. His true shooting percentage is under 50%. LeBron's is over 55%. LeBron has multiple seasons of shooting 40-plus percent from the three-point line. Kobe, I don't think, has ever done that. Kobe benefited from having Shaq on his team, winning three championships, never getting a finals MVP. He has won regular season MVP to LeBron's four. Every championship LeBron has won, which is four, he's been the finals MVP. Kobe Bryant missed the playoffs four times. LeBron's missed it once, his rookie season, and I believe his first season with the Lakers when he was battling the ankle injury. But, since he's been on the Lakers, he's won a championship, lost in the first round, lost in the conference finals. There's never been consecutive seasons where he has not been a factor inside of the NBA playoff. That's a testament to the greatness of LeBron James. People aren't fair to LeBron. Names such as Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Shaq, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Bill Russell. I can keep going on with names. They've all had all-time great coaches. LeBron James has never had an all-time great coach. He's the only player I can think of that's top three all-time, that has had his career coached by average coaches. Eric Spohr is probably the best coach he's ever had, but he wasn't a proven coach at that point in time while he had LeBron James. He became Spohr once LeBron left. He had the two rings when LeBron left. He's been to the finals since LeBron left, but he hasn't won without LeBron James, or Dwyane Wade for that matter. People need to appreciate what LeBron does. What else does a guy need to do to show you who's the best? He's 6'9", 260. He's a 6'9 version of Michael Jordan with athleticism. Let that one sink in. He's Karl Malone with Michael Jordan's athleticism. That's dangerous. So respect LeBron.
