Chopin's Étude Op. 10, No. 2 is an A minor piano study designed to build the independence of the weaker right-hand fingers (3, 4, and 5) by having them play rapid, chromatic scales. The left hand and the first two fingers of the right hand provide a simple accompaniment. The piece is challenging not only technically but also for maintaining relaxation and legato at speed, and it is sometimes nicknamed "Little Bee" for its "buzzing" chromatic runs.
