Students are instructed to complete their Lexia units and minutes, spending 5-10 minutes per unit. They can then choose between a comprehension passage or spelling sentences. The comprehension passage is about Ruby Bridges, with questions on the back. Students should highlight where they found the answers and write about Ruby Bridges' impact in their workstation journal using evidence from the text. They can also use spelling words in sentences, underlining the word and numbering each sentence with skipped lines. Good morning, students. As always, your weekly workstation checklist will begin with Lexia. Please make sure to complete your units and minutes. You should be spending between five and ten minutes per unit. When you finish Lexia, your choices this week are to complete a comprehension passage in writing or to work on spelling sentences. This week's comprehension passage is on Ruby Bridges. The questions are on the back of the text. Please make sure to highlight where you found the answers within the text. Afterwards, in your workstation journal, write about the impact Ruby Bridges had on history using evidence from the text. When you are finished, you may use each spelling word in a sentence. Make sure to underline where you used the word in the sentence and to number each sentence. Please skip lines between numbers.
