Students are instructed to begin their weekly workstation checklist with Lexia, spending 5-10 minutes per unit. After completing Lexia, they have the option to either write a comprehension passage or work on spelling sentences. This week's passage is about Ruby Bridges, with questions on the back. Students should highlight where they found the answers in the text and then write in their workstation journal about the impact Ruby Bridges had on history using evidence from the text. They can also use each spelling word in a sentence, underlining where they used it and numbering each sentence with skipped lines in between. Good morning, students. The questions are on the back of the text. Please make sure to highlight where you found the answers within the text. Afterwards, in your workstation journal, write about the impact Ruby Bridges had on history using evidence from the text. When you are finished, you may use each spelling word in a sentence. Make sure to underline where you used the word in the sentence and to number each sentence. Please skip lines between numbers.
