The government has made progress in addressing the Calls for Justice from the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. The efforts include preventing violence, improving internet access, enhancing health services, and tackling the root causes of violence. Since the launch of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, the government has made efforts to advance approximately three-quarters of the federal work outlined in the Calls for Justice. The 2023-2024 Federal Pathway Annual Progress Report highlighted the progress the federal government has made over the last year. The response to four of the National Inquiry Calls for Justice by the government includes addressing the prevention of violence and immediate needs, ensuring reliable internet access in Indigenous communities, improving access to health services, and addressing systemic issues and root causes of violence.
