Nothing to say, yet
In this 5-minute gospel, Dr. Faye talks about how people often seek answers to their life problems and anxieties about the future. She emphasizes that the answers are always there and that we should focus on our internal selves rather than external stimuli. Dr. Faye suggests tapping into the knowledge and wisdom within us, which she relates to a house where things have their proper place. She encourages reading the Bible, praying, and surrounding ourselves with positive and inspiring people. She expresses gratitude for her community and encourages listeners to reach out to her for support. Welcome to Faith Alive in 5, the 5-minute gospel. Now here's your host, Dr. Faye. Well, how many of you are looking for answers to life problems, situations, and circumstances that you're going through? And you feel this overwhelming anxiety about what tomorrow will bring, of how am I going to manage my children, or manage without my husband, or manage without my wife, or manage without my job? How am I going to manage in the middle of a medical crisis? How am I going to get through this thing? And you're looking for answers. The key is, is that the answers are always there. They're always there. But we have been question-driven all of our lives with questions about, who am I? Why am I here? What am I going to do tomorrow? What am I going to be when I grow up? Now that I'm grown up, what am I going to be when I get older? Who's going to take care of me? Who's going to take care of the kids? Who's going to feed the dog? All of these questions, because we are driven by externals. We've been conditioned, like Pavlov's dog in psychology, you know, being conditioned to believe that a certain thing exists or not exists based on stimuli. And by that, I mean your circumstances, your surroundings, what mama did, what grandparents did, and you think that that's your life. And at the entire time that you're wondering about your life, you have an opportunity to be the best version of your God-created self that you can possibly be. Because the answers are always within reach. The Bible says that the kingdom of God is within you. And since the kingdom of God is within you, then how do we tap into that? How do we tap into the knowledge, the wisdom? Wow. How do we tap into that? Well, you know, when you walk into a house and you have certain things in your house that are in certain places, and if something is out of place, the question arises, right? Why is that over there instead of over there? Who's been in my house? Something has been rearranged. A lot of things have been rearranged inside of our mental houses, our emotional house. A lot of things have been rearranged sometimes in your physical house because of the health issues that you may be facing. But regardless of that, it does have a proper place. And God has given everything its proper place. The Song of Solomon reads that to everything there's a season and a purpose under the sun. God has an answer for every situation, any dilemma. And how do you tap into it? You ask the question, right? The answer is you've got to get with the one who built the house. You've got to get with the one who set things up. You've got to get with the one who knows more about it than you do. You do? You're not going to understand, know, and realize that God knows more about you than you could ever possibly know? When you introduce yourself to someone and you say, oh, my name is Dr. Faye Wilson, and I have a doctorate of divinity, a Ph.D. in religion, and a master's in religion, and a bachelor's in nutrition and child development. And you go, how did you get all that paper? You know, but that's not who I am. It is simply this external. But it doesn't define me, the person that God made me to be. When we can really realize that the person that God made you to be has nothing to do with the external stimuli. It has nothing to do with those things that are on the outside of you. It has to do with who he created you to be. A lot of the questions you have, have already been put, the answers have already been placed within reach, within the kingdom of God. You've got to reach inside. You go to God. Spend some time reading that Bible. I'll tell you again, because it's important. Read that Bible every day. Pray every day. Fellowship with other believers. Those who can pull you up, not those who can pull you down. You want to hang out with people that inspire you, motivate you, question you about your questions, and propel you, transform your life.
