Both rhythmic and ethereal, the piece Kïai is a modal composition, where acoustics and electronics, space and energetic pulsation come together. Kïai is a musical interpretation of the apparent opposition between the "Ch'i", this flow of natural energy designating the fundamental principle which forms and animates the universe and life and the "Kiai", the battle scream resulting from the concentration of all energy in a single movement.
