The transcription guides you to get comfortable, focus on the present moment, and let go of distractions. It talks about breaking the loop of anxiety responses by interrupting the expected outcome. By staying with the feeling without acting on it, you weaken the pattern of anxiety over time. The process involves acknowledging the feeling, breathing, and staying present for 60 seconds. This interruption helps shift the pattern of the loop. It encourages you to rest and prepares you for further exploration the next day. Before we start, I want you to get comfortable, not perfectly comfortable, just comfortable enough. If you're sitting, let your back have some support. If you're lying down, let your body be heavy. Take one breath, just one, and on the exhale, let your shoulders drop. Good. I'm going to ask you to put whatever's happening in your life right now. The to-do list, the thing he said, the thing you're still thinking about, put all of it aside for the next few minutes. Not forever, just for now. For right now, there's nothing else you need to be doing. Nowhere you need to be, no one you need to respond to. Just this. Take another breath. Good. Let's begin. For five days, you've been watching the loop, learning to recognize it, learning to pause before you follow it. Today, something different happens. Today, for the first time, the loop doesn't get what it expects. And that matters more than you know. The loop has been running the same sequence for a long time. Trigger, pull, pursuit. He goes quiet, the anxiety rises, and you move toward it somehow. Check the phone. Reread the message. Compose the text you may or may not send. Every time the sequence completes, the loop gets confirmed. It learns. This is the right way to respond to this feeling. What happens when the sequence doesn't complete? When the trigger fires, the pull rises, and then nothing follows. The brain experiences what scientists call a prediction error. It expected an outcome. The outcome didn't arrive. That mismatch creates the conditions where the nervous system can begin to update. This is not suppressing the feeling. It's letting it rise and not completing the circuit. I want you to stay with me in this next part. I'm going to activate the feeling briefly, gently, and then guide you through staying with it without acting on it. This is the interruption. Bring to mind the feeling of waiting, not a specific person necessarily, just the feeling. The checking impulse, the wondering, the scanning. Let it be there. Notice where it is, anybody. Good, now the feet are on the floor. One inch of chest, back. Breathe in slowly, and out. The feeling is still there. You're not trying to make it go away. You're staying with yourself alone. Breathe again. Stay here for 60 seconds. I'm here with you. Stay here. You're doing it. Good. Notice what happened to the feeling during those 60 seconds. It may have intensified briefly. That's the loop looking for its expected outcome, and then even a little, it may have settled. That settling, that small shift, that is the interruption. What happens to a pattern that stops getting its expected outcome? It weakens, not dramatically, not overnight, but each time the loop fires and doesn't complete, each time the pull rises and finds stillness instead of pursuit, the connection between the trigger and the response gets a little less certain. You just did that once. That's enough for today. Rest now. Tomorrow we go deeper.
