The speaker tells their friend that they cannot bring someone back until that person apologizes for their actions. It doesn't matter who was right or wrong in their argument, when two people agree to a duel, they must accept the outcome. The person they're talking about may be an idiot, but they are still the captain. They believe it's better to be without a crew member who doesn't respect their leader during difficult times. A crew without respect and a captain who doesn't demand it will ultimately fall apart. I understand that you want to see him again, but I won't let you bring him back here. You can't kiss his ass and tell him you're happy to see him again. You know that. Until he bows his head and apologizes for what he did, he can't come back. It doesn't matter what you two were thinking when you started arguing. It doesn't matter who was right and who was wrong either. When two men agree to have a duel with each other, no matter what the outcome is, they have to accept it. You understand, don't you? This guy may be an idiot, but he's still our captain. We're better off without a crew member who doesn't respect their leader when things get rough. A crew with no respect and a captain who doesn't demand it are destined to fall apart.
